none I've heard 8's but damn these things bump like 2 10's or a 12'. Its amazing. I make my freinds subs sound like crap with just my 8's. Get them if you can find them for midbass or just regular bass there great. NO complaints here. Similar Products Used: Nothing compares to eclipse I don't care what people say... |

Lots of other uses. An anchor for a small boat. Beat little kids over the head with it. After you're done with it just turn it in to an aluminum recycling plant to get it recycled. But best of all, it'll pump some mad bass in whatever vehicle you own!!!!!
Weakness:
Too darn heavy. Putting it in and taking it out is a pain in the ass. Other than that, this sub should be the one for you. This sub is just plain perfect. They will definitely rock your car with an excess of 130db with a crappy system. With a well built system, try and measure the sound pressure level. I have mine in a box Eclipse would laugh at. A ported, 3cuft. enclosure with a 6" port about 9" deep. Supposed to be in a small 2cuft. sealed box. Anyways try it out and be prepared to see the doctor about your hearing. Huh? What did you say honey? See I can't even hear my girlfriend. Good thing huh! Reccomendation: buy it if you have the money. If not, buy a power acoustic sub. Take plenty of power, I'm pushing my single 12 with 800 watts, and it pounds. Goes low, and handles everything I give it.
Weakness:
None so far. If you're interested in the eclipse go ahead and get it, wonderful sub, you won't be disappointed with the money spent. Similar Products Used: Audiomobile Mass |

2 Eclipse 8815.4 DVC
Strength:
These subs hit hard and fast. For a 15 inch sub they keep up with quick hard hits and drop supper low for the deep rich bass that will shake the hell out of anything
Weakness:
When given enogh power they like to run warm, but not to bad. The retail price is not to cheap. I have had these 2 Eclipse 8815.4DVC subs in my car for around a month and half now and they sound great. They are acurate and hit very hard. I had my car mettered at 158.3 with windows up and 161.1 with windows down on the Bass Mekanik V5.0 CD. I am using the Mephis 16-ST1000D mono amplifier to power them. Even though the amp has high distortion the subs handle it with no problem. After a good 5 to 6 hours of play the subs still sound great, but the amp runs a little warm. I believe that these subs are some of the best that I have ever tested. Although the price could come down some. The Audiobahn AW1505 sub is not much different and only costs around $300 or so each. Strength:
best sub i have ever owned
Weakness:
expensive i have 2 88120DVC's, all 4 voice coils paralleled to a mmats 100hc, and they sound better than any setup i've ever used. I'm not a boomer, I appreciate sound quality much more, and they sound incredible. I wouldn't recommend running them that hard without external gain control cause they hurt when they are at full power. They are tighter than any garbage kicker ever produced. I had 2 xmax 12's, which i loved dearly, but sold so that i could get into an aluminum driver. they hit harder and tighter than the xmax's (although i was running the xmax's with a zx350). I'm kinda confused by box recommendations for them, however....I have them in .9 cubic ft box each, 3/4 mdf. according to eclipse literature, they should be "boomy". all i can say is that the double bass in metallica's dyer's eve sounds like a machine gun. tighter than ive ever heard any other sub. if you know of a tighter sub, please email me, i'd love to hear it Similar Products Used: x max 12's, diamond m5 12's |

packs a great punch. nothing compares to it.if you want attention use eclipse.
Weakness:
seal has come away from cone piece and rubber, fixed it with some super glue.Just a minor fault, it's all good. I baught it on a trip to Hawaii along with a RF amp. Could not have picked a better sub. I use it as a free to air sub on the back shelf in my car, and thinking of boxing it after hearing about these reviews. Looks and sounds very sweet. No one has ever heard of it over here so you guys need more publicity because I will definately recomend it. I paid around 200 for it and was definately worth it. Eclipse 8812 DVC
Strength:
These are one of the best subwoofers on the market today. I have had these subs and out bassed people with two 15's. They take alot of power but feed these babbies the recomended RMS or more and you will be in for a pounding!!! I have found out that these work best when they are put in a small sealed box with a air space around 1.5-1.75. Just think...they have a better one out there for you to try!!!
Weakness:
The cone on this woofer will dent very easy and when that happens they are not pretty anymore. The sarround on the cone is not as tough as it could be but if you put it in the recomended air sapce then you will have no problem. I payed about $325 for each of mine and I would damn well do it again. If you have the money for this sub and the money to get a powerfull amp, you better gets this while its hot because with anything else you will be wasting your hearing.
