Strength:

None

Weakness:

Bass extention, foam surrounds, output ability

I personally did not like these subs at all. I had 3 of them in a sealed box with 1.0 cubic feet each, and they did not go very loud or low. I was pretty disappointed, as I've had much success with their W6 series subs.

I recently got rid of my 3 10"W0 in the powerwedge. They couldn't take the power like I wanted. I blew two of them and called it qiuts. I noe have 4 x-max 12" 8 ohm subs. I push them with 2 ppi 21400 amps. It soundt ten times as good as the jl's. The jl's were alright for the money though. My new setup cost me 4 times what the jl setup did

W0 - They deserve to be called JL
Last year I purchased 1 JL 10W0 and I think it sounded great. I was using a small 2-channel Pioneer Premier amp which was delivering about 70-watts RMS and 160 peak. I had the bass boost on the amp at +12dB and was very impressed by how much bass it produced without any distortion at high volume. Recently I upgraded to 2 JL 10W0's and I'm still using the same amp. Even though the power is cut in half, they still sound terrific (but not as good). They still produce enough bass to vibrate the seats and the rear view mirror. If you don't want to spend too much money on a sub, I would strongly recommend the W0's. Give them about 50-125 true watts and you will love them.

WO- These speakers are not for the weak at heart!!!
I have two 12in JL W0s in a sealed power wedge box. To power them I am have a bridged 300 watt RMS PPI amp. If you want a lot of bass and I mean a lot of bass this is a great combo. Before I installed these speakers I should have tightened all of the screws in my car. The bass shakes everything inside your car as well as outside of your car. When I pull up to my house it literally shakes the walls. I also set off every car alarm on the street! To put it plainly, these speakers RUMBLE! I can turn the volume all the way up on my Alpine reciever and the speakers still refuse to show any sign of distortion. These are some excellent speakers.

i kinda like the subs i have right now. i have three JL12W0-8 subs. in my 89' honda accord. they sound great at low volumes and are a little harsh if i play them loud. i have them run at a 2.66 load on my RF punch 225.2 wich is rated at 700 wattsX1@2ohms. for low level sound qality there a killer sub. but im into SPL so there really not what im looking for. i had my car metered to see how they do for SPL. i forget the magic frequency i used because we were in a rush. but i hit 140.8db. but the subs were straining to get there. i forgot the subs have about 1.33 cubic feet per. if u want a cheap sub that doesnt require a lot of power i would consider the W0's. but im over powering my subs right now and thats why it probly sounds a lttle harsh at loud volumes. i have listned to three 10W0's sealed in a 92 eclipse that will hit 137 on the dash and 149db outlaw. and yes mine was on the dash. i didnt have time to meter it in outlaw. so these subs are O.K. for mild BASS heads but if u want extreme go else were.

Strength:

Low Freq!!!! They hit really LOOOOWWWW!! Can set car alarms off as i drive. Cheap! $250 for 2 with a box!

Weakness:

Not as much punch as my 4 12" MTX 3000's. But hey, that was 4 12's and another amp.

Love the 15's!! Play very loud and hit extremely low!! Everything I had got stolen and i now have the 2 15W0's powered by an old school punch 100. bridged and running 2 ohms. I had to add a capacitor and 4 G power wire with this setup. I bought 2 12W3's when my stuff got stolen but one was blown when i bought it so i went back and they were out of 12W3's. So i got the 15's. Very impressed, i was going to use these while i got some money to put 4 12"'s back in my car but i think im going to keep them. Playing bass cd's is awesome! It can hit the lowest notes given to it. It makes me want to puke!!

Hit lower than when i had 4 12" MTX with 2 old school Punch 60 amps. bridged running at 2 OHM's. I heard a friends car yesterday after he just had the amp installed. With 3 12W3's and a much more powerful amp(orion the beast- $1200 amp).He considered trading me! He like how his sounded but didnt think they were as clear as mine.

Strength:

i i was at the stereo shop, and i was gonna get 2 10" sony xplods, but the guy at the store said, look i know it's your money, but check these out first, i heard the JL's and they hit way harder than the sony's, so i told him forget the sony's i want the JL's, and he said good choice.

Weakness:

i know that there is stereos out there louder than mine, my friend for instance, has two 12" rf punch subs, his stereo is about as loud as mine, if not louder, but it does not sound clean like mine.

i have two 10"W0 subs, and they hit extremely hard. my whole stereo is all Alpine except for the subs, not only does my system hit hard, it is very clean sounding, i personally think it's not how lod your stereo is, it's about how clean it is. now if you don't agree, there is something honestly wrong with you.

i have heard other subs, but they don't sound like mine, i am thinking about replacing them with two 10" alpine subs, not sure though, if you think i should e-mail me
