I think that the jackass under me doesn't know anything about running a system correctly. I have 4 jl12w3's and havn't had one problem with them after 2 years. This guys is just flaming jl because he has a very small peni5.

Loud clean bass, good power handling, great for small enclosures.

Hits so hard my rear panel rattles/vibrates constantly. Will need to dynamat that section real soon!

I have a 97 4runner with a Q Logic custom enclosure that fits 1 10" sub into the back quarter panel of the vehicle. This type of enclosure enables almost no loss of space in the 4runner, but I'm able to get this 10" sub in there. This is the best sounding "hidden" sub I've heard. I'm running a single JL 10w3d2 with a MTX amp pushing a bridged 300rms into 4ohm load with a super tiny .65 sealed volume custom enclosure. I stuffed the small enclosure with lots of poly fill to make it seem "bigger". The sound output is as deep and loud as my single 12" bandpass sub I had in there before, but the SQ is now much tighter and cleaner. Hits hard even at low volume. AWSOME!

jl audio stealthbox with 12w3 is doing good so far it hits harder than my buddys 2-10s kicker.it wont win competitions but in the vehicle where it really matters it sounds damm good

Excellent subs. I cant beleive the difference between these and others i've had experience with. My friends and i compared them with: 2-12" Pioneer premier impp2's 2-12" Kenwood Tornado's 3-10" Mtx 6000's 2-12" Mtx 8000's all subs powered by different amps, power between 200-1000 watts. the w3's were ran off a Kenwood 600 watt amp runnin at about 400. these hit clean and loud, not even runnin RMS. almost comparable to the 8000's runnin at about 800 watts. incredible.

Those Subs are suppose to be 125 rms. I have a pair hooked up to an SS 400.2 Autotek, bridged at 2 ohms. With this setup this Amp delivers 500 watts rms and let me tell ya it overheat after a while. The subs are abselutly amazing sounding at any volume and greatly reproduces any bass frequency. I hit 140.8 dbs at a spl comp. in a zx2 can imagine with two 12w3 153 dbs maybe?

i had high hopes for this subwoofer after reading the numerous praises on this site. after the research, i decided to buy from a local dealer and managed to get a 2 yr warranty (just in case.) after hooking it up to my JL 500/1 amp and adjusting it (i've used this 500/1 amp for awhile now,) i was disappointed with the way the w3v2 sounds. the bass did not hit as deep as i had hope for and it didn't generate the SQ that my IDQ sub did (on the same amp.) am i expecting too much from this sub? if you're curious... - box is .8 cubic ft. sealed (corner of trunk) - sub is wired in series to make a 4 ohm load - amp is 500/1 set @ 80hz (most settings are basically the same as when i had the IDQ in there

Definately EVERYTHING. They hit as deep as any 12" sub I have heard, with the poppy-clarity of the 10". JL definately hit the spot with their high-excursion driver. I have seen about 4" of displacement.

The foam surround. I noticed it starting to frey in one spot, but I put a couple silver grills on each and this nailed the foam surround down so I haven't seen any more problems.

I don't think I can stress how sweet these things are. Never in my life have I heard a more versitile sub. I was debating between the Alpine Type-R and the JL W3 'cause they were the same price. The JL's perform EXCELLENT with whatever music you throw at it (Rock, Rap, R&B, Top 40, etc). I'm powering 'em with a Rockford Fosgate 1000.1 bd and 1 Farad Cap. I have them firing up in a sealed box in my spare tire well with a false floor installed over top. I can't stress how much I love these subs. They are each running 500W RMS and with the remote punch bass you have total control over how they sound.

Unreliable. Expensive paperweight.

Sounded nice until it blew. And this sub was not driven very hard. I am obviously not very impressed with the reliability of this JL woofer. Lasting less than 3 months is just wrong.

I first bought 2 10w0's, and i was impressed. My friends had told me it sounds like 500-600 watts with 2-12s. when I popped my trunk, they saw 2 10w0's and a rockford fosgate 250a2 and rockford fosgate 1 fared cap. Then I sold them and bought 10w3's, and ran them with the same amp and cap. Unbelieveable, and the stats show 250 watts rms and peak. When my amp was pushing close to 400 rms.
