I'v used the punch 10" for 4 years now, they work great, just installed a complete dolby digital 5.1 system in my car, PERFECT! I use Kicker ZR-120 to drive the subs.

just in response to "dave's" summery saying he trashed these subs with a "awesome" rampage amp, you do know you havre to be the biggest idiot around... it's not power that destroy's a sub it's either bad distortion... coming from something for example a cheap amp.... if you run these things with a good high quality amp in a well built and desighned box they will trash any thing for the same price so shut up you don;t have a clue what your talking about

Strength:

Around 80 hertz is really nice... great price for good build quailty, will hit big if asked. Works well for rock (ooh that sounds bad).

Weakness:

Distorts too easily, bit of a power hog... drove one with really good 55W RMS amp and it was almost as good at the V12

I''ve run a single 10" punch in a sealed enclosure, driven by an Alpine V12 100M (although I have used other amps). In general I have been fairly happy with this sub, but it distorts easily at high volume (even when the power band is good). Avoid amp clipping, it hates that.

NEED NO AMP (HA HA)

Weakness:

CHEAP SPEAKER

These are good Subwoofers if you are running 75 watts to them. My friend blasted them running them off the cd player like 35 watts.....these subwoofer sucks.....if 35 watt hit them....they will explose with 100 watt to them...so don''t get them go with WO, 4000, HE.

Strength:

Cheap, does the job.

Weakness:

Should be able to handle more power w/o distorting.

I definately recommend this sub, make sure that if you have the 8 ohm model like me, that you link a few together to lower the ohms. I dont think there is anything better than this for it's price. They are EXTREMELY loud and clear with very low base, but highs aren't as good as some other subs. If you want to turn heads, or just get started, RF Punch 10's will satisfy you!

Strength:

Sounds great. Best buy around. compact.

Weakness:

None so far.

The amp is a great deal and a great sound. For people who load their car with 2 12 inch subs and an 800 watt amp, your spending too much. This might sound ridiculus, but my friend got just that in his car and all I have is 1 10" Kenwwod DB+ series sub hooked up to my small 280 watt amp and mine sounds better. If thier is one tip I can tell people it is to get thier audio installed by proffessionals and not some worker at a franchise store. The differance of getting things installed by proffessionals is the reason my small system sounds better than "show off" systems.

Strength:

Absolutely nothing.

Weakness:

Lots!

I found a Rockford Fosgate sub for $60. I thought in my head, "RF makes pretty good amps..." (i have a punch 75 driving my mids) I purchased a sealed enclosure which conformed to the specifications... However, upon powering up this crappy sub with an MTX 5670... (I have a jl 12w6... an 10' mtx blue thunder and i thought i needed more punch...)the sound was horrible! Even with and extended pole piece the response is shallow. It lacks response in the low frequencies, and they call it a subwoofer! Never buy RF subs. They're horrible. Stick with their amps.
