Strength:

not much-well i guess they look alright---thats about it

Weakness:

small wimpy magnet- i really thought RF made some good woofers so i bought to XLC punch 12's, i hooked it up to a 1000 watt kicker impulse amp--turned up only about 70% of the way and the sob blew. They are very weak. They don't handle any watts (mine were 800 for the pair). they actually cost too much for their performance

the price is way too much for this s@$#. my friend david kiefers road gears sounded better. ive heard 6 by 9s hit a hell of alot harder.

Strength:

cheap and loud

Weakness:

It is not accurate at all. In most ALTERNATIVE type songs it sounds great, but put on some rap and it just can't handle the sustained bass. It sounds way too muffled.

I bought them with a crappy box used from a friend for over a hundred. If you pay what Best Buy or Crutchfield is charging forget it- buy something else. Should only be used in a small non-ported box (type 1 q-logic).

So far I have heard JL and Infinity and either would make a much better choice.

Model Reviewed: Punch 10"

Strength:

On a small 200w Kenwood amp, my dual 10" puch woofers can produce more bass than I or anybody else can stand. The overall quality is very good considering the price I paid: $100 for 2. I am using them in a closed box, which seems to work well.

Weakness:

Umm... Takes up too much space in the trunk....

I would recomend that you go with the slightly pricier punch XLC's. Otherwise, great sub.

Model Reviewed: 98/Rockford Punch 10"

Strength:

These Rockford subs are the best! I don't know why people say bad things about Rockford. They are quick responsive and LOUD!!!!! Can anyone say BOOOOOM!!!!

Weakness:

Expensive! But well worth it. But not the amps. They are way too pricy.

I Have two 10's in a bandpass in my room!!!! These subs rock and shake my room. They beat out Thump no matter what that guy says cause Thumps SUCK! They beat some MTX and tie the Thunder twos. I have tested this against Rockford DVC's, Thump, and MTX. Of course the DVC's blew it away but it was fun! Rockford Fosgate RULES!!!! Im thinking of buying 6 DVC's tell me if you find something better at the same price (750$) No nasty E-mails

Strength:

great excursion, tight bass, better then a perfect 12!!!

Weakness:

nothing, i mean how can you go wrong when it takes up and over 800 watts for on sub!!!

i got my 10 inch dvc off ebay for 120, and all of you possers who don' know how to hook up a sub can just back off cause my dvc will blow just about anything off the market for price. And all of you perfect 12 owners need to hush up cause i have yet to hear a good one. The only thing i would sell my dvc for is a orion hcca. I hooked up my dvc with 200 watts and that mother won't even move. But 400 wired parellel makes nice. So many people out there are getting perfects but they know not what they do, perfects aren't even clean you can hear then rattle and not hold there note. Let's talk about magnets!! Huge! 30oz! i dn't like any rockford products but this sub and it is the best on the market especially for price.

NONE WHATSOEVER

Weakness:

EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT IT

Wow. RF has to be, the WORST subs ive ever heard. I bet thumps are even better. They are so weak, my tiny bookshelf speakers have more bass. What a tiny assed magnet and low excursion. These suck. They are way overpriced, i dont know why your all saying for people on a budget, you can get awesoem audiobanhs for about the same price

Strength:

NO such thing with Fosgates

Weakness:

To many to list, Magnet to friggin small, sounds like crap in any type of box, weak power handling,

Awwww man, where to start. My best friend was looking for a reasonable sub at a reasonable price. We went to what seemed at the time a reasonable car stereo dealership (wont mention any names for fear of defamation, U KNOW WHO U ARE!) We explained that we were bargain shopping for a good sub, and they showed us the line up of products. We came onto a pair of Punch 12's in a bandpass box that sounded fairy loud and ok. We paid for the box and they gave us a different one than the one that was on display. (I thought it was a little fishy but i figured they wanted to give us a new model instead of one that had been used for thumping sales) Anyways we pay our $300 (i know i know thats expensive for punches) ans went off to install it. About 1 hour later, after the amp was hooked up and everything, we turned them on. I swear ive never heard a sloppier set up. We figured bad equalization was the culprit, so we turned and tweaked and changed the crossovers and EQs for like an hour. finally we gave up and decided that the box they were in sucked. We took them out of the box and dropped them in another box that conformed with the box specs of the sub. we tuned the port, turned it on and phhhtttttt. sounded actually worse. we were dumfounded. We took them back for and exchange and the ones we got sounded somewhat better but still sucked. And we also realized that the display model had Punch DVCs in it. We said forget it and took them back and bought an amp for the subs he eventually got, MMats Pro Series. I am never buying Fogsate in my life (Many of my friends have been dissapointed with them, even the higher end punches) If you want a real sub check out http://www.ddaudio.com/driverinfo.htm

Strength:

beautiful tight bass! sounds soooooo nice! I've heard many subs in my life and these kick butt. it's definately worth the $$!!

Weakness:

need a strong box to handle the subs.

i installed 2 ten inch DVC subs into a sealed box. I have a RF 225.2 amp powering them. These subs hit like none other! They put out beautiful lows and when the beats demand it, it turns out precise tight bass as well. you gotta hear it to believe it.

Strength:

Good bass levels at high power in a small sealed box

I like the Fosgate Punch 10" they are quite a good speaker. The only problem is the price even thought they are coming down. They work well in seeled encloshures. Bandpass and ported applications are not as efficient for this speaker. At high power like 250 watts peak they work well in a 1.75 cubic foot enclosure.
Overall I like them.
