Deep compressed tone , ideal for import car. Great for the price.

The sound is really there , you notice it right away. I have one on my 1993 240sx DOHC (WITH) 2.5in cat-back. I would highly recomend this product to anyone with a 240sx or Sunbird. I havent head it on any other cars but I know I love it on my. NOT A RICE SOUND.

Strength:

Good construction, nice tone, quiets down a 406 cubic inch chevy as good as they can. Im sure im losing some pwer with the exhaust on at the track but i dont care. I can carry on a conversation with people in the car while driving around town and can hear the radio most of the time - the exhaust IS 3" in diameter so its not like its going to be OEM quiet!

Weakness:

Seems to get louder over time, i dont know if the material blows out or its just me getting older

I have the Large body Super Dynomax 3" in/out mufflers with the 3" internal tubes puchares with my exhaust kit @ $68 each. They perform very well and fit nice under my car without much fuss. Coupled with the Torque tech 3" full exhaust the car cranks out 11.90's @116mph all day long. if they ever blow up or blow out i can get them replaced through Walker with the lifetime warranty.

well made. Quiet! more power and miles pergallon

Weakness:

none unless you want something loud

I put the 2-1/2"cat back on about five years ago it gave a deeper tone but is not much louder than stock. I gained 2 miles pre gallon and more power. I added a underdrive pulley and K&N filter for a 4 mile a gallon total gain I get 28 miles now.

Seems well made. Quiet!

Weakness:

Just too quiet. It's not the manufacturer's fault, there's just no way to know how it's going to sound till you put it on the car, but now I'm out $130 for the muffler and installation.

I bought this muffler after reading the reviews for it and other mufflers on this site. It sounded like just what I wanted, not too loud but with a deep tone that would give my exhaust note more personality. I wanted my car to sound something like a '60's era British sports car. I bought #17783, a round cross section muffler very much like the stock one but smaller and with 2" pipe instead of 1 7/8". It's just too quite, it hardly sounds any different than the original. The tone is just barely deeper and it's no louder, you wouldn't even know it was there. If you buy this brand don't get one too close to the original. Small muffler, big pipe = loud. I didn't go small enough.

Price Sound Power increase

Weakness:

Nothing yet!

For the price, it is a very good muffler. I paid $150 muffler, pipe, and installation, which is a lot cheaper than some people pay. The sound is louder, not annoyingly loud, but it exerts a good tone and a nice burble at idle. Power increased some...couldn't say hp wise, but it seems to flow smoother and power delivery seems to have improved.

Nice amount of resonance and some extra HP. Looks great!

The muffler is great. I have an SUV so I didn't want anything too loud. I can definitely hear a very mellow resonance which is exactly what I wanted. I also got a 4" Magnaflow chrome tip welded on so the whole setup looks great!

Weakness:

I replaced my stock 1.75 inch system with a full 2 inch system from the cat back. The sound was kinda quiet, a low mellow tone..not irritating. The biggest differance I noticed was a healthy increase of low end mid range torque. My gas mielage went from 28mpg around town to 29.4 mpg.I took the ZX2 to the DeSoto Speedway and dropped my quarter mile time from a 17.1 to a 16.6 and went from 82mph to 85 in the quarter. Around town I can even short shift between 2nd and 4th gear because the added torque down low

I just installed a dynomax super turbo rear section on my 99 hatch the application is for the 92-94 hatches but it fits the same. i also had a new 2.25" mid pipe with resonator made up. i love the way it sounds deep and very very quiet its only a little louder than stock. i also like that it almost looks stock very sleeper. also the fit was perfect. i didn't notice any difference in performance since i was replacing a greddy pe exhaust.

Strength:

Quality construction, great sound, noticable power. Quiet idle, really mellows out my cam sound so its not so erratic. Nice throaty rumble on acceleration and no drone at cruise.

Weakness:

Notice -- these are not for anyone looking for loud exhaust. If you want to make noise go with flowmaster. If you want power go with these. To give you an example of the volume -- If a stock muffler is a 1 and a Flowmaster 40 series is a 10, the Super Turbo is a 4. Just what im looking for to create a sleeper but still have a powerful sound.

Have them on my 90 fullsize with 383 stroker. Very deep rumble, not too loud. Noticed an IMMEDIATE gain in performance over Dynomax Bullets (glasspacks). Very affordable, would recommend.
