Great replacement for stock muffler. Nice deep sound but not too loud.I do get better gas mileage with this muffler and power seemed to increase also.

The super-turbo dynomax muffler is definetly a must! She has a low grumble and throaty sound which is exactly what i wanted. I definetly noticed a hp increase! She runs a lot smoother then before.

Strength:

Offers good sound. Kinda made my six-popper sound like a stock 305 or 307. It's not very large, so it fit right in place of my catalytic converter! It's also not too loud, it is quieter than when I was running open cat after the old muff fell off. It's a great muffler for the price. I'll definately be getting 2 if I ever get around to putting a small block where GM should have.

Weakness:

Bad interior resonence at low RPM's. Also the diameter of the stock pipe and the muff's in/outlets weren't exactly the same.

I have a '78 Nova Custom that has it's original drivetrain, a 250CID L6 and a 3-speed auto. Recently the muffler rusted off the back and I needed a new one. I'm a do-it-your-self guy, so I hacked the pipe off before and after the cat and put my new $32 Dymomax muffler I ordered from Jeg's there.

Strength:

sturdy construction, inexspensive, great sound

Weakness:

had a few sharp burrs that could have cut my hands.

very sturdy muffler for the money. sound is great on my 78' trans am. maybe a bit too loud for every day use. resonates inside the car at around 2000 rpm but i like that. idle sound is great. gets a bit loud in the mid range then seems to quiet down in upper range. you really get a lot of metal for your money. no need to consider other mufflers unless you want somthing quieter.

great sound (dual mufflers installed) noticed low end torque

Weakness:

heard about a short life span! 2-4 yrs?

The car sounds great! I instantly noticed the gain in low end torque, though i have not experienced any high end loss with these mufflers.

non really cept having a hard time getting the one i want right now :( its not your typical application though.....

the car has a blown inline 6 in it and i needed something to make it nice and streetable as well as perform. it has an awesome sound with the header i use. it is a 2.5 inch in/out the car needed to be an all around performer at the drags auto-x and open road racing and be nice and streetable (keep the police out of my hair too) the car is also a daily driver and i want to hear the stereo as well :P i need a new one and one for my new truck and i have used them on project cars.

Bought 2 for true 2 1/2 " exhaust systems(headers too) upgrade for my chevy. What a difference. It has an awesome idle sound, a pleasing rumble at low rpm, and a resonating growl when opened up at higher rpm.

They are extremely quiet. I wanted a deep rumble and I got a low squeal. I dont like them at all. I think my perf. actually dropped with them.
