personal satisfaction, acceleration improvements,

Weakness:

none at this point.

This muffler is worth every cent!! I had it installed, on my 1996 GMC with a 305 5-liter V8. It has this "deep drone sound" that my wife just crave. She just wants to drive it all the time now. "THIS IS MY TRUCK OK!!" So I thought. It's loud enough to be heard, but low enough that I can enjoy my sound system. I'm more than happy with this product. No need to spend $300.00-$1100.00 for this setup.

Strength:

Deep aggressive sound when accelerating, low rumble when at idle, not too expensive

Weakness:

None

At first I was scared this muffler would be too quite or to loud (ricey sound) for my 2000 Infiniti Qx4 3.3L V6. I had a Flowmaster 50 SUV series on it with Dual In and Single out. My factory muffler was dual in and one out, so the FM 50 SUV was the only one that had that option. The FM 50 was too quite, and I heard that the 40 was louder. I purchased the one with Dual ins and Dual outs with 3 1/2" stainless tips. MAN...just perfect for this vehicle. Very deep and aggressive sound when accelerating, and nice rumble when at idle. It sounds like I have a V8 at times. The inside is still quite, which is a very good thing. Keep in mind that the sound of the muffler TOTALY depends on what kind of car and engine you have. It’s perfect for my car.

Strength:

Bad Ass Sound
Lower RPM's
Makes driving more fun

Weakness:

Cost

I was initially disapointed with the 40 Delta series muffler because I thought it was not loud enough. It has become somewhat louded and meaner sounding in the last month, about 1000 Miles after purchase. The most noticable change was that my idle and cruising RPM's have dropped but I have seen no increase in gas mileage. Overall I am happy with the muffler and can't wait to put my top down during warmer weather so I can hear it better. I kind of wish I cound have gotten the original 40 American Thunder but they dont make one that will fit my pipes.

Strength:

The 2mpg of gain claim with the change of the muffler doesnt look far from reality.
The car seems to rev more freely than before, more power i guess.
If you dont want to hear your significant other just keep the engine at 2400RPM and let the muffler resonate(Or is it a weakness? You decide)

Weakness:

It really drone at about 2400rpm but the sound almost disappear at speeds over 75mph.
It makes you want to go full throttle just to heard the engine revving.

Installed on a Toyota FZJ71 (4.5L V6 1FZ-FE 225HP)it sounded loud at first but you get used to it, even more you get kind of addicted to it.
I drove the car 450KM (280 miles)home the next day and started to really like the sound.
My car was very quiet before the installation but i think the backpressure was robbing its power, now it feels like is revving a little faster.

none, but i saw my friends installing cheaper systems, believe me paying the extra money is worthy

Strength:

Loud agressive sounding street/strip muffler and hp/torque and fuel economy gain.

Weakness:

none.

The original standard 40 series is the most agressive sound. It gave my truck what a V-8 should sound like, loud american thunder. I recommend this for any V-8 american vechicals. loud rumble sound when idle and at high RPMS loud aggressive sound. Also gives you more hp/tq and fuel economy. Nothing is like Flowmaster. dont be fooled by knock off brands nothing like it.

7-8 more horses, throaty but suble. Have seen mileage improve by 2-3 miles per gallon after only 2 weeks.

Weakness:

Louder than expected in the higher rpms just before a shift but with the radio at a normal volume it's great.

Wanted to get that classic Chevy sound but didn't want to scare children and little old ladies. Replace the stock muffler with a 40 and it was perfect.

Very good sound

Weakness:

This is an amazing sounding exhaust system. I have a V6 mustang and wanted to sound as close as possible to a GT without sounding like a Civic or other kind of ricer. The flowmaster 40 series gives my car a great sound that makes it sound deeper and not even close to a rice burner.
