Strength:

Great Idle tone! Mild Power Increase that you can defenitely feel and hear over stock setup. Sounds great throughout the power band and quiets down for cruising speeds.

Weakness:

Can't Find a weakness! Sounds great and is very durable.

I've had this muffler on my car for over three years and I cant get enough of how great it sounds. Its not too loud and not too quiet. Over time, the driver will say that their car is not loud enough but others notice how loud it is. This muffler is very durable, sounds great with low and high rpms!!

I bought my car and the guy who owned it just had a muffler place put a regular muffler on it. It was loud but, but the way it was set up there was no power in the exhaust.. So i purchased the flowmaster full exhaust and not a big change but there is more power. I have to be honest and say that the muffler place muffler was louder but it still sounds good. Also I wish i could buy a borla but way to much money but it is awesome in the way it sounds, you can change the power and noise levels on it, but anyway good luck on your purchase!!

Sound - Sounds like a real muscle car, like the ones in the movies.
A lot more people look in my direction now.
I'm very satisfied. I'll spread the word.

Weakness:

None.

I love this muffler. I was a little unsure by some of the comments posted but I'm glad I got it done. The sound is amazing I haven't stopped smiling since I got it. Everytime I start my car up I expect an average muffler but instead I get a Flowmaster! I can feel my feet vibrate everytime I push on the gas, even a little bit.

I did notice my car doesnt kick in as much as it used to when i put the pedal to the floor, BUT I can get to a higher top speed with lower RPMs.

( I did set off an alarm in the parking lot of Best Buy today! )

Well I got a 4 cyl grand am and wanted a good exhaust system that didn't sound like a import exhaust (4cyl, kinda hard to avoid), but Flowmaster is as American as u can get!! Sounds great, and added some HP (though I added a CAI at the same time) I'd recommend to anyone!

Strength:

Aggressive tone. Loud in the low and high rpm ranges. A head turner. The Flowmaster sound.

Weakness:

The louder the better.

I have an 87 Chevrolet Camaro with the 5.0 TPI engine and I upgraded from a cheap aftermarket muffler to the 80 series and saw a big difference. The aftermarket muffler I had before was loud after about 2000 rpm but you really had to step on it to get it loud. I find that with the Flowmaster 80 series, as soon as you step on the pedal, from 1000 rpm through, you can already hear it and the tone is much more deep. Since I have gotten the new muffler I have had heads turn and less people looking to race. I also noticed that the tone and loudness is a sure fire way to get people ticked off when they are behind you in their vehicle trying to listen to music. The 80 series is an excellent upgrade.

Strength:

Its loud, but just a big hum, thats about it.

Weakness:

No horse power gain at all The tips look bad Not stainless Steel The sound is just embarrassing for a Z-28

Ok lets be honest here, I have had my exhaust on for about a month and I am so disappointed. It didn't make my car sound any better, Its just an annoying HUM in my mind. The pipes out the back look bad and when I get on the gas it just sounds bad. Everyone gives this exhaust Rave reviews on the fact that it is loud. It is loud indeed but a bad loud. I have had Zero horse power gain. My friend just purchased Borla and wow. Same year car but they don't sound anything like each other. Do yourself a favor, don't go the cheap way out for a loud exhaust. Save your money and get the good stuff, It will be worth it.
