Great sound Power Increase Turns Heads

Weakness:

the only minor weakness i've found it oit does sound slighly ricey in the high rpm,s but this is very little.

All i can say is, dman this mufflers awesome. THis muffler takes my v6 and makes it sound as damn close to a v8 as any v6 can get. Also i feel more power and torque when i drop the hammer now as opposed to the stock muffler. this mufflers sexy rumble turns heads all the time,(especially the ladies)

Strength:

Great sound. Worth the money. Improved Horsepower , especially in the higher RPMs. Improved Gas milage. Gets attention!

Weakness:

None

I love this muffler! At first i didn't know what to think about it reading these reviews. All the interior noise everyone's talking about, it's not bad at all, i like it, or just crank up your radio. Don't get me wrong, this muffler is way louder than stock, but it isn't as loud as i'd like it to be, Although I'm very happy with it. This muffler has a great sound quality. It sounds good all the time to me. It has a great idle, not loud but has a mean rumble. Lives up to the muscle car sound. It's alot louder when you get on it. Also, the muffler will gradually get a little louder the first few days you have it, because it's still new and it hasn't been broken in. The Flowmaster 80 series is a great muffler, worth the money.

improved horsepower. better sound.

Weakness:

super loud when the tach hits five grand. not good for long trips because of interior noise.

This is one bad muffler. I put one on my camaro running thruogh a RANDOM TECHNOLOGIES high flow converter and 3" pipes and 26" echo tips and when i cruise through crouds people are costantly turning their heads my way! It's very deep and quiet but under heavy acceleration it screams loud.

Strength:

pretty good sound horesepower gains inexpensive

Weakness:

dosnt turn heads if you have a six cylinder dont expect it to be too loud

This muffler made a big difference over the stock one but it still isnt as loud as i would like it to be. But what can you expect from a little 3.1 liter. Although my freinds tell me it sounds like the 305. I did notice an increase in horesepower but not in gas milage.

The sound is definately better than stock. Not obnoxiuosly loud but louder than stock. It lives up to the muscle car sound. Sounds great.

Weakness:

I don't see a weakness with this system.

Easy to install and good price. It lives up to the advertisement. I didn't know what to think after reading some of the reviews but thought I would give it a try. I am very happy with this product. It is exactly what I was looking for.

Strength:

Gives your car a very throaty aggressive muscle car sound. Loud, but not obnoxiously loud. Has more of a throaty sound to it, then it does a loud sound. But it is loud enough that when you pull up to someone's house, you don't have to go to the door, they come out to you.

Weakness:

NONE- I do tend to get worse gas milage now, but that is cause that Flowmaster tone just makes you want to floor it everywhere you go.

I wanted an obnoxiously loud car, but after finding out that putting true duals on an F-Body was to complicated I decided to go with the 80-Series, since it was a direct fit and would retain the dual exiting tailpipes (Since I can't stand the way F-Body's look with only one tailpipe). I have to admitt when I first started up my car after installing it, I was a little dissappointed, but I instantly fell in love with the infamous Flowmaster tone. And now, many compliments later (from both friends and strangers), I can't even imagine putting anything but an 80 Series on my Camaro.

Similar Products Used:

Stock Muffler- Doesn't even compare. 10 Series Flowmaster- A lot louder, but not nearly as aggressive sounding as the 80 Series. I also don't believe the 10 Series is street legal. 40 Series Flowmas

Strength:

Good price .

Weakness:

Not loud at all . If you gun the engine at idle , it backs off pretty nice.

Have a 87' Pontiac Grand Prix v8 5.0L (G-Body) .Purchased a Flowmaster 80 Series(#42583) Muffler and had some new pipes put on . I was extremely disapoined in how quiet this muffler really is . From what I read on the Flowmaster website I was expecting alot more then this . The 80 series I bought was sitting east to west (MOD job) so who knows , maybe its a clogged cat . My advice : try a true duel system with free flowng mufflers .

This muffler is the most intimidating ungodly thing you have ever heard in your life.If your V6 or V8 needs an attitude and sound check then this muffler is for you.Sound will not wear out overtime and neither will the Flowmaster construction. If you like the 40 series then you'll love this...wide open throttle scares even me sometimes..I can't imagine what it sounds like outside the car.The 80 series is a mean muffler if you want performance and a growl that will scare anyone including yourself.

-Sound(Absolutely Beautiful) -Performance(Faster, car feels heavier and more torgue) -Head Turner(People will be looking at your car the entire time you drive by) -It makes those little Jap Traps or Rice Rockets crap their pants and cry.

Weakness:

NONE!!!!!

When I got my '95 Firebird, the sound that came with it wasn't bad at all. It had a little pop to it and was kinda loud, but it didn't get the attention it deserves. I put on the Flowmaster 80 series on and I noticed a difference in her the second I turned her on. She is faster, sounds amazing, and my mpg is much better. I used to hit 15mph at 5rpm's, now with the 80 I am hitting 30mph in first gear at 5rpm's. If you are lookin for and uprgade get the 80 series.
