Flowtech Terminator Muffler Mufflers

Flowtech Terminator Muffler Mufflers

DESCRIPTION

The TERMINATOR features the most AWESOME SOUND in the industry. A small block Chevy or 5.0L Mustang motor actually has that unique BARK associated with a quick crack of the throttle. The sound of the TERMINATOR can only be described as AWESOME. The TERMINATOR is constructed entirely of suoer thick aluminized steel and features inner pass tubes so big that you will have to keep your pets away from it. And yes, it is FULLY WELDED inside and out.

Model Reviewed: 94 ford crown vic POLICE

Strength:

the first officer to drive the vehicle, after the up-grade to the Terminator, said he noticed a gain in throttle-response, and top-end. it
did improve performance!

Weakness:

the brass liked the improvement in power. the street officers wanted even more 'sound.' in all honesty, it was exactly what the Dept. wanted. more
horses, without turning a POLICE crown/vic into an attention getter. there
is no doubt, when the engine is fired-up---this is NOT a ford stock muffler! pretty sweet....

about $50 each---YES! flowmasters get a lot of press, but these 'bad boys'
did as much or better. they give a great start-up rumble, and then fade
to a nice idle. when in upper mph'er chases, officers noticed a great deal
of top end, improvement.

this will not make a POLICE vehicle sound like a Z28. it will give a nice
tone to the other-wise boring crown/vic. there will be an improvemnt in
the vehicle's response.....

we had used flowmaster in the past, and had no officer comment on a really
big difference in power. officers did with the Terminator.

sounds better than glasspacks on the same kind of truck. cheaper than flowmasters. fully welded and no glass.

Weakness:

big and heavy. not enough sound at low rpms

around 40 bucks, for a low rumble yeah, for something loud no.good throttle response and improved power.

Strength:

They sound great and not at all like flowmasters which is good cuz every other car has flowmasters on them. Not too loud inside the car either. cost less than flows too. you don't hear them from a mile away. noticeable power gain

Weakness:

1000 to 2000 rpm could sound a little better but once it hits 2000 on my truck they sound awesome.
these things are heavy, i see how they call em "15 pounds of fury"

I think i paid around 50 each or so i'm not too sure. upgraded from raptors before i got my exhaust done cuz these are made really well and will last longer. i recommend these for anyone who doesn't want to sound like everone else running flowmasters. also, they keep it pretty quiet on the inside. glasspacks have that bad smell to them too no matter what you run. if u want to be the loudest around go with the flowies. i am really curious what these would sound like on a 5.0 ford or maybe a sport compact. maybe i can convince the folks to put them on a dodge intrepid or 80 toyota pickup (that would be hilarious)

Similar Products Used:

Rusted glasspacks. they were louder all around, sounded terrible, and made popping noises on decceleration.

Model Reviewed: 1984 Cutlass Supreme

Strength:

Sound awesome at full throttle. Just like the box says.
You can feel and hear the pressure build up inside the muffler from inside the car.
Ran them on a stock 305 w/ headers, dual 2.5 inc pipe w/no x or h pipe and of course no cats.

Weakness:

Very quiet at idle, not a deep enough tone around 1500 to 2000 rpm.

Paid $140 for both. Well worth it as they are fully welded.
I would go with the Flowmaster 40 series over the Terminators, but they will both sound good if your running them on a high per 350 with a lumpy cam. I would not recommend either of these mufflers to people that dont want loud exhaust. Im still looking for louder. I could live with it straight piped(no cats or mufflers)but it would not sound as good as with the performance mufflers. Glass packs are an option but ive heard they sound crappy. Hell if their loud and there's a bit of backfire on deceleration, all the better. Might try them after I get board the the flows. On a side note, glass packs are very cheap.

Similar Products Used:

Flowmasters 40 series 2 chamber. The flows are much deeper and a bit louder all around than the Terminators. They sound pretty close to the same, but the flows sound better at low cruise, and are just a loud roar at full throttle.
Interior sound levels are about the same.

Strength:

Nice tone, difference in HP even for a 4 banger.

Weakness:

Hard to install, had to replace all piping, and clamps to get it to work. right

Overall, it has to be the best muffler I have bought, I am also restoring a '73 Nova with a 350 and am planning on putting two of these bad boys on it. I strongly recomend putting these on any car, including little four cylinders. Anybody who is looking for a reasonable muffler should purchase a Terminator.

Bosal Brospeed. Not even close, the car crawled compared to the Terminator.
