Ummmmm.....nothing really

Weakness:

belts, fuel solutions, timing issues, reliabilty of blower, tech support

This is an update. ATI/Procharger has the worst customer support I have ever experienced. I dumped my lame a*s blower and got a twin turbo and have had no problems. ATI talks about aircraft quaality...what a bunch of BS! They say their C2 blow is capable of supporting up to 500-600hp, yeah right maybe in PCP land if you smoke enough..lol...seriously though. Don't believe all the hype, if you break something with a procharger you'll pay big time because ATI will find any excuse they can to get out of having to back up anything. Go turbo!

NONE, No they have one strenth, they can destroy an engine very quick when it comes apart

Weakness:

JUNK, TECH GUYS DONT KNOW ANYTHING, WILL NOT LAST

Shipped wrong pullys and took 3 times to get the right boost(they didnt know what pullys to use) After one year and three months, about 5000 miles, a bearing went out and sent parts of the impeller into my engine. Sent it to procharger to be repaired and after 2 months they called and said it would cost $2087 to have mine rebuilt, they would not cover anything. A new d-1sc has a list price of $2600. So I told them to send it back the way it was and I tould buy a vortech.

Strength:

Decent gas mileage and drivability with awesome performance when needed. Quiet head unit so people don't know I have it until it's too late. Air-to-air intercooler available for far less than Vortech.

Weakness:

It makes you want to use it.

I purchased the P-1SC at Sound Performance in Bloomingdale, IL. I'm running 8 psi and love the setup. I make just under 400 RWHP and over 410 RWTQ. My 2000 Mustang GT is my daily driver and this setup works good in that role.

None used. Compared with twin screw/roots and other centri blowers like Vortech before purchasing.

Strength:

strong power and pulling. The blower itself is virually bulletproof

Weakness:

If belt get too loose they break

I bought the kit and blew my stock motor about 4 months later. Can't blame the blower because it was doing it's job and proper tuning is up to the car owner. What is amazing about this blower that I totally locked up my engine when it blew buy the blower trasmission is perfect and untouched. I put the big 44 toon cog drive pulley and this thing makes about 18-19psi of boost at 6500rpm! I had to get a much bigger air filter and put on a huge paxton racing intercooler but now this little Z is putting down over 500rwhp. Procharger tech can be love/hate depending who you talk to but I have no doubt that when your just talking about blowers and not tuning ATI makes the best blower available. I know serveral other Z owners with Vortec who are lucky to make just 14 psi of boost.

Strength:

smokes the tires up to 100 mph. car gets sideways when you drop it down into 3rd gear and punch it at 70mph. easily beats 03 cobras, z06s, ferraris, lamborghinis. cops can't catch me now.

Weakness:

smokes the tires up to 100 mph (tires are expensive).

i have an ati p-1sc system installed on my 99 c5 corvette. to date, i have been very happy with the system. before install, i had 335rwhp and 348 rwtq. after install, i got 495 rwhp and 446 rwtq. my only other performance mods are tts long tube headers, cats delete, bassani x-pipe, and borla xr-1 overaxle part of exhaust (no mufflers). the system has performed very well, and is designed well for the c5. i drive my c5 hard, race it, and see redline after just about every green light in town. i have not had any issues with overheating, belt slippage, tuning, or products flaws. the install was straightforward, the tuning was straightforward, and the system has worked perfectly since then. currently, i have about 6 months and 5000 miles on the system. while doing the install, i needed to get a couple parts that my friend forgot to include when i bought the kit used from him. i contacted ati and was able to get the parts delivered to the shop doing the install in one day. the ati tech that i spoke with was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. he answered some questions i had about the d1 and f1 blowers, and provided me additional information about my kit. if you get one of these kits, then make sure to get a competent installer to do the install, and get it dyno and street tuned properly using ls1edit and efi-live.

Weakness:

paid over $7,000 with installation, and then dyno session on top of that. but power gain is very good, good hp/$$ overall

insane power. dyno tested after installation in '02, estimate engine is making over 550 hp, uncontrollable on the street. dealer and accessible tech were great. very good product.

looks, performance, pretty easy to install. I'm only running 8 psi, so could turn it up even more if I wanted to. very good price for power.

Weakness:

had to get a second computer chip before car ran right. Installation manual needs more pictures.

I agree this is the best supercharger you can get. After getting the P1sc w/ intercooler, I have installed headers, Flowmasters, and a 3.73 gear. I have run a best of 11.92 @ 116 MPH, and drive it to work every day. This system gives you a lot more than other superchargers.
