Strength:

much less work and money to install. Much more power than competitors. The polished unit looks very nice. MUCH more relaible than competitors, and by that I mean the supercharger and the life of the engine.

Weakness:

buying the oil-system is self lubricated but you have to buy a special oil to put in the supercharger. The other pain for me was undoing the changes I had to make when I installed the S-trim

By far the best supercharger on the market. The service was great on the product and the install took the shop about 4-5 hours; I bought the unit, had it installed, and put a few miles on it all in the same day with time to spare. I have used other suerchargers before but this one actualy gave me the performance gains I was looking for. With the same setup and just the new supercharger, I took another .4 sec off my 1/4 than when I used the vortec S-trim.

Self contained unit, the intercooler

Tuning

I beleive this is a really good unit. i like the fact that I didn't need to put a hole in my oil pan like it's competitors. I also like the intercooler. I used to have a Vortech on my previous Mustang but that thing ran really hot if you got into boost a lot. I ran this Mustang last year with gears and exhaust and ran 13.70 at 100 mph. Now, i run 12.50's at 113 with no problem at all. i know it will run better once i get these drag radials figured out. The only problem i had was tuning. i had to get a chip custom burned by using a dyno. the car was going way lean before the new chip. that was an extra expense i wasn't counting on but it sure beats replacing the motor.

I the kit is crewd the company is worse. you can never get the people on the phone there nevermind them calling you back. i called every week for 2 months before some one told me that my supercharger is not gonna be covered under warranty. they claim these long warrantys what good id that if they are not gonna warranty the product aney way. I HAVE JUST HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THESE CLOWNS. AND HOPE NO ONE NEEDS DEAL WITH THESE GUYS WHEN THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THERE JUNK PROCHARGER UNTIS!!!!!!

Strength:

Easy to Install. No oil lines like the P600B or my last supercharger (Vortech S-Trim)

Weakness:

Alittle extra work and time with intercooler. But not too hard.

I have completely stock GT except for Vortech S-Trim 8psi, BBK full length headers, BBK X-pipe, 2.5 American Thunder Flowmasters & 3.73 Motorsport gears. Car ran best of 12.45 at 112 mph. Used S-Trim for about 3 years then bought ATI P-1SC Procharger 11psi intercooled kit. It actually puts out about 14psi at blower but manifold boost after intercooler is 11psi at 5800 rpm. Been driving around with it for about 4 months and it is way better than the S-Trim. Best time so far is 11.85 at 119 mph. Car has 125,000 miles on engine and is daily driven. It idles smooth and drives very well. Sees about 10psi at 4000 rpm. Have no problems so far.

The P-1SC is probably the best out there for a street car except maybe for the D-1SC. Used to have Vortech S-Trim. Used it for 3 years. The P-1SC flows more usable boost because of the intercooler.

Strength:

The D-1 has very high power output. I ran 13.91@101 without the Pro Charger. Then a 13.000@111. The 60ft was very poor only a 2.09. However that was because my 2610.5 Sportman Pro's couldn't keep the car stuck the the pavement. I'm sure the car went from 217hp at the rear wheels to 330-360 based on my 10mph increase in mph on the 14.

Weakness:

I cannot stand the way the D-1 sounds. It was the first supercharger to use 4 bearings but, the dam thing sounds like it's got broken bearings while at idle. I called ATI to ask them why the supercharger sounds so broken, they told me that this is normal. The P600 sounds much better. the P600 is louder but sounds very smooth. The D-1 litterly sounds like broken ball bearings rattling around at idle. I have to rev the enging to 1900rpm for the ball bearing noise to go away.

I would reccomend the D-1 if you can live with the way it sounds. I personally have had my supercharger for about 2 1/2 years now and have had no problems. Even with 14psi and a stock longblock. Except when I first installed it. The oil seal broke within the first 2 hours. I sent it to ATI and they replaced the seal. It has been working ever since. When I bought my D-1 with the 3row intercooler it was very, very, very difficult to install. The installiation instructions were horrible. Photo copied instructions for the P600 is what they gave me. But i bought a D-1. I had to be creative with the installiation. I took me about 1 1/2 week to install by myself; however I worked on the install for a total of 30-34hours with basic hand tools. Anyone can install this kit but plan on investing some time with it, because after your done with the supercharger then you've gotta install the fuel pump. Overall I would recommend this supercharger to anyone who want's a lot of power. O and yea my piston rings have finally allowed ventaliation through the crank case. I guess now after almost 3 years of 14 psi on a stock long block it's time to go with a real long block. Say a 317ci.

Have only tried Nitrous Oxide. Nitrous is very cool. It can be very safe if you don't get greedy with jet sizes. However having a supercharger is like having a nitrous bottle that never runs out!

I have owned a Vortech S-Trim Supercharger system, a Vortech Y-Trim and now a ProCharger D-1B system with a 3-core intercooler upgrade. The ProCharger is hands-down the best system I have experienced. With minor bolt-on parts, my 93 Mustang runs consistent high tens. Weight with driver is 3300 lbs.

Weakness:

Installation is much more difficult than are installs with Vortech systems. But that is the only drawback and the end results are well worth the trouble.

ProCharger is definately the best supercharger system on the market.

The car really gets up and move with the addition of the blower. I dynoed it with 9 pounds of boost and a 2 core intercooler at 356rwhp and 371rwt.

Weakness:

My biggest complaint is how loud the blower is. I mean you can hear this thing whistling coming down the street before you even see the car. And i have yet to see "9lbs" on my boost guage. The most i've gotten out of it is about 612

The price was very reasonable compared to other blower setups. For my blower, intercooler, fuel pump, Mass-air sensor, and install, it was less than $3,800.

Strength:

The P600B provides great power. I picked up over 2 seconds on street tires. It truly does provide the power they advertise.

Weakness:

1.Poor design. The idler pulley for the blower hits the electric factory fans. Billet Bracket for blower warped, to thin. Instructions were horrible. Major belt slip. (12 rib setup) Boost varies from 10-15psi $80 dollars a belt (been through 6) Ati's poor attitude towards customer after purchased.

$2825...Would recommend but stay away from the p600b go either D-1 or D-3. Or VORTECH.................
