was new to the company, had an automatic bank draft set up to pay the insurance. They took the money out of my account 3 days early causing my account to bounce and refused to refund the money. After I called and complained for the 3rd time, they are now demanding the full 4 months remaining at once instead of the monthly payments I am set up for. Need I say more?

Dropped my house insurance 3 years later because I could afford the car insurance.

Allstate dropped the insurance on the house because we didn't get their car insurance. For one we couldn't afford it and plus we have just file a claim with our car insurance. They waited 3 years to drop us. They did a home inspection 3 years later when they should have done it in the beginning and said the detachable garage needed to be painted and a window replaced. We didn't even file a claim with them when the wind storm came thru and caused the damage to the garage. I don't understand.

they dont know jerk!! they will transfer you all over and back just for a simple answer,their cooporate office is so unproffesional.trust me geico or any other company will be 5 dollars more but the price will be worth it,when it comes to renewal time,accidents,issues with the state or anything whatsoever.Allstate are goons,save ur money for a better classy company.

Iam a disabled vet spent 5 years in a nursing home when I get out allstate refused me ins on car or home because I had not had continous service. I urge all vets to boycott this company

all vets please boycott its enough that the va is no help, but we can make a diff in the consumer arena

December 10th 2009 I cancelled Allstate got Nationwide, (much cheaper) Allstate ripped me off 191.00, Allstate took the money out of my account anyway and caused a real problem, I filed a grievence with the bank, and because Allsstate had to put back money they became unhappy and ruined my credit by turning me over to collections, my agent told me I did not owe them any money. Allstate lied to the insurance commission about the cancellation date, Allstate told the commission I cancelled on the 16th of December, which was a lie. BEWARE Consumers of Allstate Car Insurance.

I've been with All-State for 4 years now and will never leave this insurance company. I've made two pretty big claims (about $10k in damage) and they were taken care of in a matter of days. Customer service kicks ass and the claims adjusters are very knowledgable.

Allstate is the worse insurance in the business. Allstate and everyone who represents them are crooks and criminals!You don't have to take my word for it. Read the other reviews.... Allstate's bad reviews far out way their good. All of the bad reviews are pretty much the same story. I am not trying to make your choice for you. I am trying to encouraging you to do a little research before you buy a policy with this company. Once you research you will find you may not be in good hands with Allstate. Are you willing to gamble with your valuable property? All of these consumers can't be just be having bad experiences with Allstate. After so many consumers it stops being bad experiences and becomes bad business.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PROMPT

I had to file my first claim at the beginning of this month and I was terrified given some of the horror stories I had heard. A car that I owned was totaled, in another state, by a friend. The insurance company told me that they would send out an adjuster 3 days later. They gave me a 3 day window. On the very first day, the adjuster called me to tell me that they considered a total loss and that it would have to be handed off to another dept. I was sure it was going to take forever. I received another phone call within the hour. To make a long story short, I received my final call by the end of that day informing me that my check for the payoff was in the mail. They didn't lowball me on the value of the car and even refunded tag and title fees for a new car. All of this was handled and done with in less than 4 days total! I will NOT leave this company.

To add to all of that, their accident forgiveness ensured that my insurane won't go up either! Can't beat that!

I'm sorry Nadi had a bad experience with Allstate's customer service. It's always better to call a local insurance agent first, no matter what company. You'll always get better service. Insurance companies do run a credit check, but it is a soft hit on your credit-which means it DOESN'T effect your credit score. Don't let a bad experience with outsourced customer service prevent you from getting great insurance coverage from Allstate.

I love Allstate Insurance. My local agent has great staff. I know they will always be there for me when I need them. The company as a whole has been around for over 70 years. They aren't going to have financial trouble like some insurance companies, since they have been through many recessions and continued strong. You get what you pay for and Allstate is well worth the money.
