I asked for a simple policy cancellation with REFUND
Emailed several times, Never get a response on the actual cancellation request. Only get Email instructions on how to cancel by Emailing a request. but they keep ignoring my actual request. Thank God I Don't actually Want To File a Claim.
Company is only interested in MONEY

None. The nicest thing I can say is nothing.

After ten plus years insured by Farmer's I discovered that the only thing you can count on from Farmer's Insurance is that you "WILL" be ripped off eventually. All I wanted from this company was quality repairs to be made to my vehicle after an accident. What I got was rusty greasy junkyard parts. This was all Farmers would pay for because they didn't feel my vehicle was worth new parts. Just for the record every single part that was put in as a result of the accident had to be replaced within 12 months. Farmers Gets You Back Where Belong! Sure thing! This company has lied to my states Dept of Insurance to justify their position. They have refused to respond to the Better Business Bureau in my state. The BBB has changed Farmers rateing to unsatisfactory. And to top it off a Farmers adjuster stole property from my vehicle while in one of Farmers COD shops and then eventually blamed the shop employees for this. This was after at least a half dozen stories from Farmers as to what happened to my property,includeing, accuseing me of lieing about the property being in the vehicle. This company knows no bounds includeing threats of legal action if I continued to bother them. this was after I was told that if I didn't like there decision maybe I should sue them!
One last thing about these crooks. Farmers offered me what they call an appraisal process. This is essentially the same thing as the Better Business Bureau except I would have to share the cost of this appraisal to the tune of about $500.00. This offer was made in late summer of 2005. I called the company at least half a dozen times to accept this offer. This is June of 2006 and I still have hadno responce from the company. How Professional.
If you have Farmers and make a claim I wish you better luck than I had. It only took Farmers 23 days to get an adjuster to the shop to inspect the vehicle. What service.

NONE unless you count deception and theft.

Weakness:

They exist.

I was just involved in an accident where my car was deemed a total loss. Farmers offered me about half of my vehicles acual Blue Book Value. I sent Ads for that same car in my area to the "total loss specialist" because the cars that they used for market comparrison where only the lowest priced vehicals around, and all of the ads I found where priced at or above the blue book value. The Rep said that they still would not effect the cars "acual market value" because they where "overpriced". The person I have been dealing with has been very rude, has insulted my intelligence, and will not even take real numbers and values into account. I have still not settled and have had to contact a lawyer. I would not recommend Farmers to anyone, not even an enemy.

I really liked my agent

Weakness:

Customer service, not treating you like a human being. There are so many other companies out there, you get what you pay for most the time and this wasn't worth it!!

I cannot say enough BAD things about FARMERS INSURAANCE! My agent was awsome! All you need to know is if you get into a car accident with another member of Farmers, NO ONE is found at fault! I have had nothing but problems with them, they never even came out to even look at my car to get it fixed! I was rear ended and was treated horribly, like I was at fault. The only reason I would write in to something like this is if it were something serious, I feel like I need to warn people.. Good luck!

My experience with Farmers has been exceptional! I had an accident (not at fault) a year ago and my agent was so helpful. Farmers really did get me back where I belong. Another claim, about three months ago, my house was hit by a terrible storm and I had roof, electrical, and garage damage. My neighbor had State Farm and they're STILL working out the claim, while my adjustor was knocking on my door two days after the storm. And he treated us right! I can't praise Farmers enough. That same neighbor thought his house had the proper coverage, but it did not, while mine was insured with perfection. When something happens to me, my agent is always on top of things!

relationship with high quality auto repair shops and rental car services.

Weakness:

Premium is a tad bit more expensive, but I will pay the extra dollars more each month to get this kind of service.

My wifes vehicle was invloved in a hit and run accident and 10:30 PM.

We called 1800 HELP point, which is Farmers claim service, a tow truck was there within 20 minutes, and they put in a reservation for a rental car to be issued to us immediately.

We had to pay our deductible, which was the only draw back. Our claim was handled quickly and efficiently.

We are so happy with Farmers. The adjuster called us and assured us that he woud take care of everything. And that is the way that it has gone!!!

There when you need them, quick, easy to work with, gauranteed repairs on my vehicle. A+ outstanding

I was involved in two accidents within a two year period. One of the accidents was under my personal policy and the other was under someone else's policy. I had the pleasure, yes I say pleasure, of working with Farmers both times. I was impressed at the level of service I received both as a policy holder and as a third party. Each time the claims adjuster contacted me immediately and provided a superior level of service. I read a response about a 800 number, yes I called an 800 number - on a Saturday night at 10:30 pm and spoke to a real person and had my claim started. I had a rental car the following morning and my car was in shop on Monday when they opened. I was thrilled to speak to someone on a weekened!I have nothing but great things to say, is this scale had a 10 I would give them an 11.

Deny Claims, low-ball claims, pressures their staff to sell policies. Gives incentives to Adjusters to lowball

Our experience with Farmers Insurance has been terrible! My wife was hit by a Farmers Insured driving a Ford F-150. The Farmers Insurance adjuster low-balled us hoping we would quietly go away. That is what they usually do, low-ball and hope the victim goes away quietly. I did some research on the Internet and discovered a lot of information critical of Farmers Insurance which others should be aware of if they are going to be doing business with them: * "Farmers: One Of The 5 Worst U.S. Bad Faith Insurer Records! Strong competitive rates when the clients are insured at the appropriat levels of coverage for their circumstances. Great Agents!!

Weakness:

Some not so great agents that don't live up to the standards of Farmers.

I have been working for Farmers for just about a year now and can honestly say that after reading many of the negative reviews for many companies they are the same for every company. While these reviews usually only depict one side of the story, I am one person who is quite happy working for my agent. There are numerous insurance companies with numerous employees. Unfortunately the only incidents that get any voice time happen to be the negative ones. The main difference in the insurance business is the SERVICE we provide to our customers. That can make or break a company and/or an agent. The good agents "bleed" their company colors and bend over backward to provide excellent service for their insureds. Then there are the ones who cause all the negative attacks. I am grateful to work for an agent and a company that I am very happy with. My husband and I are in the process of switching our insurance over from State Farm. After a year here I can honestly say I've seen many sides to the industry while dealing with other insurance companies and as a whole the bigger companies seem to be okay. While some of the smaller ones who come in and offer "temporary" lower premiums, usually with lower coverage simply give our industry a bad name. Not only is it unethical to underinsure a client but it is unethical to let them think they are adequately covered and just getting a "great deal". Like has been said in several of these reviews. You get what you pay for. Especially in this this industry. There is always going to be someone out there who will quote you a "fantastic" rate but can't or won't follow through on it. I guess what I'm saying is that the true measure of your insurance experience should be the SERVICE provided to you by your agent. They are and should be your first contact with the actual company. The agent can make or break your impression of a company. So to those of you that are unhappy with your insurance company, try looking at the real reason and look at whether you are being great (not just good) CUSTOMER SERVICE. For those who are happy where they are, more power to you. You probably have a great agent.

None -1st claim I have ever had to file. I will be changing companies as soon as this is done.

Weakness:

Many. They expect you to pay an arma and leg for insurance and don't want to pay you when you need it the most.

They stink!!! Major run around. My car was hit from behind and declared a total loss. My agent has not done one thing for me. I don't get calls returned from any of the adjusters or even my agent. It has been 45 days since accident and still trying to get them to cover rental because my alloted 20 days has expired. They refuse to give me true replacement cost/or new vehicle minus whatever. Was told by one office person that my claim was messed up from one end to the other including police report. I am not the one at fault but seems like I am left holding the bag and they expect me to take a $5000-6000 loss!!!! No way! I only had the car 3 months and they claim it as "used". Well it was still new to me. I refuse to settle for an inferior vehicle because they do not want to pay out. I have a medical claim open and every day that goes by is another day they are making me sick....literally.
