I paid five years to this thieves without accident. After five years I noticed I was overpaid for all five years. In last six months they overcharged me extra thirty dollars a month more than my premium and whenever I called their rude employees, heard the same non-sensible talks. When I cancelled it, after three months I received a $44 bill from a collection company!!!!! Instead of receiving a letter from this trash company, I received a letter from collection company! Just bunch of thieves

My wife and I called in for a quote on two cars. We had contacted several other insurance companies and got fairly quick and easy quotes. When we inquired with this company, they started asking stupid questions, like does your 2006 and 2008 have airbags? ALL 2006 & 2008 cars have airbags. Then they wanted the VIN #'s and our Social Security numbers. NO OTHER company asked us for these things. I was told that unless we give them this information, we could not do business with them. I believed they were a scam and called back and asked for a manager. He supported the need to know all of this information that no other company had asked. Obviously, we will not do business with these people who cannot give a quote using basic information.

Been with the company for over 10 yrs, finally had to make a claim on accident and they decided not to follow up with me. I call back up and found out that they had denied my claim due to the lack of cooperation. This is absolutely crazy. They send it to collectioin made me pay 2800 because they said soo and told me there is nothing they can do about it...

STAY AWAY....MOST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE DONE BY THEM..... if you wanna pay and not get covered them get liberty and throw your money away

What an unfair low down liar of a company...I will do my best (which is very good) to let people know about what a cruddy car insurance co Liberty is! When you have insurance and hit someone, your car insurance should pay for the accident your insurance should pay for the damage you caused because that is exactly what you "buy" car insurance for.

They have no strengths. I have been with Liberty mutual Insurance for almost three years. I even referred 8 family and freinds. I hit the HOV wall on Jan 17th 2011. I called and got my vechicle in one of there life time warannty collison centers service king there in spring tx.. Well they partly fixed my car.. I have over spray on my hood and my scrates still on my lower driver bumber. I also have a light bulb missing from one of the new lights they put in. An employee at oreilys figured that one out. I have touch up paint on my door crack that does not atch my car.. Liberty mutual says that is fine and my steering wheel being 85 degrees off and pulling to the right.. Lets just say it did not just need an alignment. I ttok back the car two more times to the service king for liberty mutual.. The last time Mark Atkins an appraiser said oh I will fix your car you should not be driving that car. We need to get it back in the shop. We need to fix it the way it was before the accident. Well come monday 02/28/2010 Mark Atkins from liberty mutual says they are not going to fix it because that is regular wear and tear... WTF. I am so mad.. What idiot would take it back a second time for the same diagnoses that was given the prior week... Liberty Mutual does not car about its cutomers and either does Service King. They are in bed together like a mob... Making money that should not even been made..

LIBERTY MUTUAL IS UNRESPONSIVE -- I'M BEING KIND! They just don't give a $#!@ about supplying you with the service you paid for.

I had a problem with my vehicle. I was able to get it to the dealer where I bought it and have it regularly serviced. The dealer estimated repairs at $2,200. I called Liberty Mutual and filed a claim. I asked them to accelerate claims processing since I needed the vehicle and it was undriveable and had to remain at the dealer's site until repaired.

IT'S BEEN A FULL WEEK SINCE I REPORTED THE CLAIM AND LIBERTY MUTUAL STILL HASN'T SENT AN APPRAISER TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE!!!!!!!

I've called and talked to the claims rep five or six times. I've had the dealer take pictures of the problem and fax the pictures and the estimate to the claims rep. Nothing has moved my claim. Liberty Mutual's attitude is: sorry, we're doing what we can -- WHICH IS NOTHING. Instead of getting an appraiser out to look at my vehicle, they've done what they could -- NOTHING. The SOB's have left me without my vehicle and they couldn't care less. That's unacceptable. I pay them for automobile insurance protection. They're supposed to provide it.

And this is only a $1,700 exposure for them -- with a $2,200 estimate and my $500 deductible, Liberty Mutual's exposure is only $1,700. For an auto insurance claim, that isn't a lot of money.

If this is how they deal with a $1,700 issue, imagine how they'll treat the poor unfortunate who has a significant claim.

The only rational conclusion is to: AVOID LIBERTY MUTUAL.

As soon as I can, I'll switch to another insurer.

The representative was helpful and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they educated me on how the policy works.

Dishonest. Untrustworthy. Alters your information without consulting you to increase your premium. I had 4 people on my auto policy with Mutual Liberty, then removed my daughter because she grew up and bought her own car. When she was in my policy as a minor driver her portion was roughly 750. Won't expect the premium drop by roughly that amount after she is removed? Nope. Mutual Liberty reduced my premium by a mere 40 dollars per year. When I called them, they said well, since your daughter left, your son’s good student discount was no longer applied (what does my daughter’s being in policy or not have anything to do with my son?????). Then they started asking a bunch of questions such as how much do you drive, does your vehicle have ABS, etc etc as if I was getting a new quote. Finally they did reduce my premium by an amount similar (although still a couple of hundred dollars less) than what I expected. When I asked them why after this conversation my premium went down, they said well that has to do with a lot of factors such as you being a good driver, low daily mileage, your son being a resident student,etc. FUNNY! All those information was already in my account, and my former premium was based on that. Suddenly because my daughter left information about myself, my wife and my son all changed???? That is, it does not change unless someone altered it without talking to me! Want to find dishonest people? Go to Mutual Liberty. It’s very easy to find a bunch there!

They altered my account information without talking to me to increase my premium. They cheated.

Very good at collecting money. Reasonably nice agents on the sales side

Could give a rip about longevity
No consideration for good credit score, clean driving record and no accidents.

My wife and I have been with Liberty Mutual for over 20 years. We have shopped insurances over the years and knew paid a small premium but, felt this was a good company. They recently raised both my house and auto insurance premiums by close to $1500. This is without any claims in all those year with the execption of 2 craked windshields and an accident that was not our fault and the other company paid. What happened - well our zip code changed. same house, but new zip code. I called to discuss and they actually told me it would be a federal issue for them to change my rates back to where they were - WFT? So I shopped around and reduced my yearly premium by over $2K and I am in the same zip code. They really must be stupid to loose a cash cow like me.
