Claims were slow to contact me. Used aftermarket repair parts. Didn't require the body shop to attempt to match the truck color tone with the new installed fender. Work was unsatisfactory, parts didn't fit. I had them take it back and redo it with Toyota fender. Progressive estimator didn't include all of the internal body damage and had to re do.
Took a week to contact me, and then refused to provide a rental car reimbursement for the days they wasted. Would not provide a rental car for the week it took the body shop to re do the work.

I was hit by a vehicle that had progressive insurance. I contacted the insurance company. They said they couldn't do anything until the insured contacted them. Although I provided the company with names, dates and what the police report would say, they waited a week for the insured to contact them and then called for the police report. The driver of the insured vehicle admitted fault. Their adjusted did everything he could to cheapen the repair, I insisted that it be redone as the fender extended well beyond the liners and the bumper. A major bracket had been broken which supports the bumper and the bumper just shook. The new paint job stuck out like a sore thumb. The original paint was 2000 and no effort was made to use a lighter shade. When they took the car back to redo the repair, no rental vehicle was offered for that 7 days, and this vehicle was used daily in my job.

my car was totaled out in the hail store. Progressive tried to basically leave me with my car as salvage and enough money to buy a nice dinner with a messed up car.
Still arguing with them to get the fair market value of the car.
Beware, if you take your car in, wash it, take it to danny's carwash and have the seats cleaned/headrest. They will deduct value for your car if its dirty! not a joke....

I honestly can't say anything positive about Progressive Insurance.

Poor customer service, be prepared to be bounced from person to person, slow claims processing

I have been insured with Progressive for over 3 years, last summer I was rear ended by a driver without insurance and a 3 times suspended license. Not only that-I was hit on a Friday, which I came to realize means you're on your own. I had to find my own rental car, go to court on my own without a Progressive Rep on my side and eventually had to get a lawyer to force them to pay my medical bills/damages over a year after the accident. Mind you, I had uninsured motorists insurance the entire time I've been insured. They stopped returning my phone calls, I had collection agencies calling me (AT WORK!!!) and had to pay for everything up front and Progressive did the bare minimum the entire time. This is the absolute worst insurance company and their customer service continues to leave a lot to be desired. BEWARE BEFORE PURCHASING A POLICY WITH THEM.

I had recieved damage to the bed of my truck, I called on a mon I think they came out on Tues to my job. Issued me a check right there that was plenty to cover cost of repairs. Also It was my option if I wanted to fix it or not.

Lowest estimate on damage, replace junk yark piece.

My sunroof was broken, quoted $1100 from Volvo Dealer to replace it. Progressive estimate was only $465. I was shocked. How come the estimate was so low? Progressive estimate my sunroof by junk yard price of $152. So, any time your car is damaged, progressive will only put a junk yard piece back to your car. So if you buy progressive insurance, basicly you are covered by a junk yard.

I paid upfront for 1 full year of motorcycle insurance. 6 months into the policy they sent an e-mail saying I owed an additional $136 dollars if I want to continue coverage. I called them and asked why this is when I paid for 1 full year upfront and have only had services 6 months. Progressive told me that they added limited liability on to my policy and they needed in writing that I decline this insurance. I go to kinko's spend money on getting it faxed to them, call progressive and told them I had it faxed over and confirm that I faxed it over. Progressive then informed me that I still had to pay the $136 because I had the coverage for the 6 months and I won't get any of the original payment back because it covered the limited liability insurance for that period of time. I would not recommend progressive to anyone

Have been with for three years and have one chip on windows repaired with insurance, which lead to an 10% increase in policy cost.

There are no strengths to progressive,they do not care about the customer.

They want your money but will not help you if you are in a claim,and could care less,will not return calls on status of claim.If you are in buissness with a vehicle or truck do not use progressive.Pay a little more and be protected!!!!

My truck was stolen,progressive investigated me and my family like criminals.I had to get a lawyer before they would settle.They dragged investigation out until I lost my contract with customer,they did not care and were very rude.we lost everything.I tell everyone i meet about progressive and will not recomend them to anyone.Especially if your income depends on something they are insureing!!!!

I have had progressive in the past, and when my car was stolen and was later, a total lost, they investigated me as if I was a criminal and would not pay me after 2 investigative meetings...I had to pay $2000 out of pocket for a lawyer to press them, as they inconvenienced me for over 3 months with no car, still responsible for a car note, and could not get another car, as it showed I still owned the car that was a total loss...What a TERRIBLE experience...I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
