Strength:

Thanks to the skilled professional I had install the module, it is at least a visually acceptable addition (although non-functional) to my engine bay.

Weakness:

No noticeable hp, tq, or acceleration gains.

I bought the module based on the expectation that my VR4 would gain up to 25%hp. I had the Venom 400 professionally installed, and with much anticipation and excitement I took it for a test. Perhaps I gained 1 or 2hp, but definitely not enough to notice any difference. The performance expectations they created are extremely misleading, and I do not recommend this module to anyone.

Strength:

Mid to Top end power gain is great! Easy to install. The price is not horrible.

Weakness:

Nothing Yet!

The Venom 400 is a great buy. The price was not that expensive for the amount of horse power I got from it, compared that to products like cold air intake. People buy those for about $200 and it give about 5 horse power if that, think about that. This gave my vehicle a boost of power needed for the mid to top end. Who ever does not think this product helps they are crazy. The Venom 400 is the best performance module money can buy, right now.

About a 15 horsepower difference on a 1.8 B18A DOHC non-vtec

Weakness:

A little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. Hard to find a place in the engine compartment to place it.

This module definitely made a big difference, it pulls a lot harder in all gears, but more noticeable in the first 3. I think this is a great investment. It was very easy to hook up too, only took about 45 minutes.

Strength:

Nice and solid construction of the black box.

Weakness:

Completely useless as far as power. Good way to waste gas(not to mention money) and actualy lose power.

All this thing does is - it fools the ecu into a w.o.t. mode, so that at part throttle you get full throttle and at full throttle you get no change at all. You can simply do this by flooring your gas pedal all the time. I can not express how stupid I felt after reading the instructions and the wiring diagram for this thing. What a scam!

install is a joke. It works somewhat.

Weakness:

Way overpriced. save your money buy a V/AFC or Hondata

Due to my knowledge on how this module works, it is easy not worth more than $150. It does work especially on top end, it kinda eats into your mileage. Do NOT pay retail for this thing. If you want it bad find it used somewhere.

Strength:

Give your RSX Type-S a faster reaching to VTEC kick-in point.

Weakness:

Proffessional speaking, there is no weakness. Bare with your common sense, this device gives you poor economy because you are using more fuel to generate a little bit more power, such as the 571HP Lamborghini Murcielago City/Hwy per gallon is 9mi/13mi. The only difference you cannot argue with this is, its a V12 engine! But you should have genral knowledge about what module does to your car.

This venom 400 Module is what I expected. If you are expecting tremendous boost from this module, don't get it, because you won't get tremendous boost, its logic common sense. This module does re-mapping and re-configuring your ECU reading to burn more fuel, so you are sacraficing fuel economy for more horse power. This is not force induction like the NOS, SuperCharger or Turbo, so please do not expect so much from this unit. What you are going to expect from this product is a slight increase power between 3500 rpm and 5500rpm then leads on to i-VTEC. In another word is, you reach your VTEC point faster, but VTEC kick-in point remains at 5500-5700rpm. So there is a slight improvement if you do 0-60mph and 1/4 mi. Forget what other people talk about this unit claiming that this unit is waste of money or sucks or doesn't do anything. Use common and logic sense. Think about their car, what year their car is, how many horse power their car start with. For example small horse power cars are not going to feel a difference. They are between hallucination and reality. Old cars are not going to feel anything unless you highly maintain your car, tune-up and all those crap. For the RSX Type-S, you do feel a little change, but don't expect too much.

I call this a fair deal. This device gives you approximate 5-10HP and 3-8Torque with $288 bucks. This is definatly not the best product, but decent. Please advise before purchasing this product.
