Strength:

- The product really does work! Probably got up to 20% hp gains. - Easy to install

Weakness:

-Activates/latches on 'check engine' light which voids dealer warranty if ignored. - Manufacturer fails to adequately inform consumer of peculiarities of operation. - Probably stresses engine/tranny to point of shortened life (especially with 2000 Accord's transmission weakness) - Experienced hard shifting of transmission with full-power acceleration.

The product first delivered was inoperative. I shipped it directly back to manufacturer who was very helpful by phone/e-mail & in prompt replacement. By their detailed reply with the returned product it appears they custom-tweaked the settings. The repaired unit worked very well! There was a very noticable power increase at VTEC engagement (3,500 rpm+). Car is equipped with AEM cold air & FLOWMASTER exhaust. The engine revved very freely, but deceleration had some lag. HP gains not dyno-ed, but I'd bet it was up to 240 @ full acceleration. The big problem was the 'check engine' light that latched on. As the car is still under warranty, I removed the product, & took it to the dealer to rest the light ($69 poorer). Now I'll wait 'till it's out of warranty before reinstalling the product...just to be safe.

Strength:

descent acceleration not a bad price for 15 horses looks good under hood

Weakness:

venom switch should be by driver seat instead of under hood

I thought this product was a descent buy. Gained about 10-15 hp. Manly in the higher rpms. Installation was fair. I don't keep it on all the time because it does eat up fuel.

Strength:

Aside from finding a place to mount the box, install was easy and under an hour.

Weakness:

Doesn't always work the way it's supposed to. Sometimes the engine light turns on when it's on and the and the engine hesitates instead of accelerate.

I have mixed feelings about this product. When it works, I really like the results and can feel the increased power. When it doesn't work the check engine light turns on and the motor starts to die. Random hesitation. Sometimes I can keep it to the floor and can accelerate through it but most of the time I have to drop off the throttle until the Venom LED turns off then the engine will regain power in a few seconds. I haven't figured out what the factor is but it seems to occur more sometimes than others. Mods: Headers Cam K&N Intake Rebuilt motor and head Oversized valves Highflow cat and exhaust

The loss of 300 greenbacks

It is hard to believe that something could suck and blow at the same time. Pre installation dyno: 156 kW Post installation dyno: 155 kW Drivability was unaffected. It is hard to believe this 'product' does anything but light up an LED.

Weakness:

~Cost. ~Simply does not work. ~False claims saying it does.

Realistically this "product" is a total and absolute waste of money. I had it professionally installed to ensure no mistakes in it's set-up. Even with a pro install it did absolutely nothing to positively affect my Honda's performance. The only thing it did was leave a 1/4 inch hole where it's LED used to be. Actually the only thing I can say this thing did was light up that LED when the throttle was depressed. In all likelihood this device makes you think it's doing something, the LED is just an affirmation of that. Think about what the claims say. "Monitors sensor values and changes them". Sorry boys and girls but one wire spliced into another can not receive and send signals simultaneously. Certainly not when the existing signals still have a clear path to the cars computer.

to this point none, just a good way to get rid of that pesky money

Weakness:

it does nothing at this point, however i may need more fuel by aid of pressure regulator to see something happen

I bought the venom 400 after reading the reviews on this site for honda and acura models becuase they were all positive. I ran a 15.98 quarter without it and then a 15.94 quarter with it on.
