Iceman Intakes Intakes/Filters

Iceman Intakes Intakes/Filters

DESCRIPTION

The Iceman Cool Air System. From the time it was first introduced, the Iceman Cool Air System has generated a lot of interest both here and abroad, and much discussion relative to its merits. The Iceman Cool Air System delivers up to 66% more horsepower than our closest competitor. It brings you closer to 100% efficiency because it provides the coolest intake air and highest mass flow of any system on the market. It provides cooler air to your engine because it maintains the intake air almost at ambient temperatures throughout the system due to the material used. Crosslink polyethylene has the lowest thermal conductivity rating of any single-layered moldable material available on the market today.

Strength:

Horse Power & torque. No wonder most of the TOP 10, ten-second ALL MOTOR honda Civics use the Air Force and/or competition kit. The product is durable and can withstand, removing and installing, when working on my engine. NOS fittings are stabble and have never pulled out or stripped, unlike thin wall systems, i have tried. The material is strong and is made of the same material as dirt bike motorcycle tanks. The air temps stays cooler with min bottle necking, if you know anything about heat transfer and heat surface conductors, you will know that alumimum conducts more heat than most material, that is why it cools down quicker and used for heat sink conductors. Made in the USA.

Weakness:

ALL GO and NO SHOW. They sell to my competition!!!

This product was an engineered product that went in flawless and performed as they claim. Excellent throttle response and very good torque. I have the AIR FORCE RAM AIR SYSTEM, it works awsome for competition.

Weakness:

Installation is hell

The ice-man gave my car a little more hp and a lot less hesitation. It installed in a little over forty five minutes. I woul recommend any person who likes loud cars and little more hp to buy the ice-man.

Weakness:

A little pricey

In my opinion, it's well worth the money. It gave me smoother and faster acceleration. Probably 5-6 more ponys and a much smoother sound. It also made my car idle smoother.

Strength:

Good horsepower gains cheaper and better than the aem, there were good colors to choose from to match what ever colors u have or want in ur engine, good sound too

Weakness:

there werent any weaknesses but i think since its plastic it should be a little cheaper..$200 is a lotta money for plastic but the power and sound that it puts out is worth the $$

I could definitely tell that there was at least about a 5-10 horsepower gain. With that gain i was able to get my neon to almost 200 hp!!(not to mention all the other add-ons i have in the engine). Installing the intake took almost an hour and i didnt have really any trouble with it. The intake gave my exhaust like a smoother sound, it changed the sound a little bit, with the catback exhaust there wasn't really too much of a difference but i was able to tell. i originally had an aem cold air, which was good but i had that for about 6 months and i got bored with it and i wanted a better color (blue) to match all the other little add-ons to my engine. the iceman was definitely BETTER and CHEAPER than the aem cold air and the ice man is plastic so it stayed cooler than the aem.. i was kinda hesitant about the plastic at first but i figured out it was a great idea because it would stay cooler that way.. so now my engine looks better with the blue intake and it actually matches now.. I'm pretty happy with the iceman, DON'T GET THE AEM!

Deep sound when accelerating, Improve HP, gas mileage, great price, stays cooler than the AEM COLD AIR because it is plastic.

Weakness:

Instructions could be better.

Iceman intake provides a very healthy sound. I it is hard to tell if I gained any HP with out a dyno but it sounds deep when you gas it. It will definatly give you better mileage if you don''''t accelerate to hear the deep sound. The instructions that came with it were ok, but with research I found better ones online. It stated in both instructions that the front bumper had to be removed in order to take out all of the factory box, I managed to take it out of the drivers side wheelwell with a little bit of strength, and lube.

All around it''s an excellent bolt-on. Noticable performance gains, very-noticable sound (outside and inside the car), can switch dry/wet, fun colors to choose from.... oh yeah, cheaper than AEM!!

Weakness:

It''s great but I always ask myself, "do they have to charge $200 bucks for a plastic tube?!!??!"

Excellent product - a lot of thought was put into its design: the airhorn concept, plastic construction, and the ability to switch between wet/dry lands - all characteristics that cannot be found in other intake systems. The plastic definitely stays cool after driving for extended periods of time. Installation wasn''t too hard. The toughest part was getting the stock intake crap out. It must have taken me 30 min. just to get out one of the bolts that was hiding behind all of the tubing. The rest of the installation was pretty easy. Everything fit perfectly, without wrestling any of the mounting stuff. I just wish there was some way to get to the air filter without pulling the whole bumper off. The idle temperature under the hood at a complete stop reaches about 135 Farenheit. The fender well (where the new intake gets its air) is around 85F... a 50 degree difference is approx 5 horsepower. I''m pretty sure I can feel the 5 horses. I continually ponder my performance bolt-ons and wonder if it''s all psychological, but no, I''m sure this is real. There''s more hp throughout the powerband - on the freeway I don''t need to downshift as often to speed up, inclines feel less stressful to go up. I find myself reaching speed limits (or passing them) quicker than usual. Don''t get me wrong - the power isn''t amazing, I''m not going to start picking fights with mustangs or GSR''s, but I do enjoy buggin'' all of the other civics that I see on the road. The iceman sound is nice. It''s deeper, and I didn''t know what "throaty" meant until I installed it. It sounds like I have an exhaust installed when I push it, but like all intakes, ease off of the gas a tad and the deep sound goes away. Iceman has a smaller following than AEM, but I don''t think it''s because their system is worse. Iceman puts less $$ into advertising, and more into their product.

Sounds Much Better Faster Acceleration Faster Speed When i floor the car the intake sounds like it is imploding which is really kool.

Weakness:

installed it last night in my Neon and i noticed a big increase in the speed and acceleration. But what i really like now is the sound the intake makes. My car dont sound like a whimp no more. Took me around a hour to install and then went for a fast spin around the junk yard to see the difference... My car is a 5speed manual with no A/C which gives it more power and its lighter without all the A/C components. I would recommend this intake to all car owners...The nice thing about the neon the filter is right affront of a hole that is in the front of the car which sends air dirrectly into the filter.. Only thing worried about is getting the car into deeper puddles on the street and my car stalling since the intake is so near the ground.
