Strength:

Maddening straight line grip. Decent wear for a DR. Amazing price for the product results.

Weakness:

Street use is a definite no go.

If used for what they are meant for theyr'e second(arguably) only to the MT DR's. For the money spent though these tires do everything I could ask for. I DO NOT use them on the street though. My track has bad prep and I still launch at 3500-4500 and dead hook with 15 psi. Also, most people would never guess but they are stickiest just before the threads start to show. Amazing tire!

Strength:

Better sidewall strength for street driving as compared to an ET Street slick.

Weakness:

Poor traction and they wear out much too fast. The ET Streets wear much longer.

These tires did not work for me. They were completely unable to hold the car at a launch of 2000 RPM or greater. Note that my car weights almost 4000 lbs with me in it and has 480 hp/tq at the rear wheels. My local track also doesn’t have the best track prep. The BFG’s for my car are 17” and have a low profile. Complete waste of money. Now I use MT ET Streets which I have found to be far superior in traction and wear. These tires also wear out fast. Two times at the track and they were worn down to the tread bars. If you have a heavy car with good RWHP and low profile tires stay away from the BFG.

Strength:

Traction, cornering -- don't need warm up.

Weakness:

Blister if they get too hot, as in a long hill (over 3 miles).

I use the BFG drag radials as rear tires for my hill climb car. They are the only tire I have used that allows me full throttle coming off turns. They handle extremely well, somewhat better than Hoosier DOT Road Racing Radials, and don't need to be hot to work. Hill climbs are not normally long enough to get tires got. Braking into a turn is also excellent.

tires work really well on a decent track, but are really tough to hook up on a greasy track. tires also last a really long time.

Weakness:

sidewall is very distorted after a few runs, but the tires still work fine, just look funny.

i race in a heads up series with the nsca/nmca and i have the mph record in the radial tire class. i ran 160mph in the 1/4 mile with the 315/60/15 drag radial. my best 60' time is 1.41 and my best e.t. to date is 8.75.

Ride good, great traction

Weakness:

Wear fast. Real erasers

I was driving on 285 40 18''s and had no traction at all. Best time was 13.42 @103 Put on 275 60-15''s at 20 psi and cranked a 12.74@107. Unbelievable difference. You do need weight or good transfer. If your light in the rear, DR will not help. My 60'' was 1.88 before never better than 2.07

Price, durability

Weakness:

None on my car

I use these tires (26x8.0x15) at the drag strip only. My car is a low HP 289/2 bbl, the car hardly spins these tires, best 60 ft time of 2.37 with a stock converter and 3.55 gears. I have 1 and a half seasons on the same pair of tires and still have plenty of tread showing.(Swap sides half way thru season) Running 16 psi and no tubes. These are the best bang for the buck on small block/low HP cars.

Strength:

Straightline and cornering traction as compared to a standard street radial.

Weakness:

Wear very quickly.

On my third set of 255/50-16 Drag Radials. I love these tires for general weekend street use. They wear a bit to fast for everyday use but I''m sure there are some who use them. I don''t think I''d want to use these if you put more than 25 miles a day on your ride. Grip both straight line and in curves is much much better than your standard street radial. They have a nice cushy ride too! I would not hesitate to use these for occasional autocross duty either (and I have cars on both Yokohamas, and BFG Ground Force''s). For cornering force I''d have to rate the Ground Forces a 10, the Yoko 008RS''s a 9, the Drag Radial an 8, and the next closest street tire I have used a Firestone Firehawk? a 6, and a std Comp T/A a 4. So as you can see these things can corner! Don''t have to be scared you entered a corner to fast with these babies! Just to bad they were so quickly--once they turn slick they will were quite a while before showing cord. Not good in deep standing puddles but no tires this big are good when compared with equal tread depth. If the water is not deep they actually hook better than you''d think a tire could hook up in the rain. Jason
