Strength:

Tires rarely spin on wet pavement coming out of a stop. Good control on wet roadways. Very sturdy feeling.

Weakness:

Some loss of the feeling of the road compared to the previous tires. The tires are way too loud -- the roar of the turbo-jet sounding tires drowns out cell phone conversations while driving. Smooth, precision driving is somewhat lost - my car feels and sounds like a tractor at speeds over 40mph.

Much improved wet weather handling compared to old Pirellis. But, the tires are very loud; the car sounds like it is a turbo-prop airplane on the freeway and has the feel of a tractor. I would have to say that I am overall disappointed.

Replaced Honda Original Dunlops. Traction difference is immediately noticed. Corner handling on wet pavement is supreme. 70K Warrenty is incomparable at this price!

Strength:

Improvement noted in wet pavement handling characteristics. Takes harsh pavement (plentiful in Detroit area) well.

Weakness:

This is not a performance type tire, although no deficts were noted under normal use.

These are excellant touring tire replacements for the OEM General tires. The ride is well matched to the Sable''s suspension making it a pleasure for long-distance cruising.

Strength:

Good handling and good traction on wet days. Long lasting.

Weakness:

Can scream loudly when acclerating hard

A really great tire that can deliver some very nice performance and still be affordable. These tires offer some nice steering feed back and give lots of grip in rainy conditions. Have not had a chance to try them out in the snow but that time should come soon. This is the most affordable tire that I have found in 225/55 R17 size and they are much better than the Goodyears that I had on before. They seem to wearing very nicely considering my aggresive driving habits. I can honestly say that I am very pleased with this tire and most likely will get this tire again when the time comes.

Strength:

Attractive styling, very long lasting, built for performance

Weakness:

none

On my van I upgraded to 225/60 HR16. My Caravan handles with great agility but with these wider and performance rated tires, my Caravan takes corners with even greater confidence. These tires are very nice in the wet weather. I have to wait to see how it will handle the harsh Montreal winters. In the dry it has very nice grip for acceleration and stopping. Sidewall is very good because it gives my Caravan a very agile feel. These tires are also very quiet and give a very nice comfortable ride. Last month I drove from Montreal to Portland, about 4500 km and when finally arriving back to Montreal, the tread looks like I never even left my home. This is a tire well worth the money spent and I plan buying Cooper from now on.

Micheline I like this tire but does not provide agile feel.
