Strength:

gas milage, low maintenance until something breaks. great handling, fast and fun. brakes good. stereo is good

Weakness:

back seat room, cup holders, seats are uncomfortable, speaker system, no oil pressure gauge, engine and repair cost. engine longtevity at 89,000 miles it is dead!

this car is graet until it breaks and you have no warranty. i have a buddy that has put 2 grand into his with multiple probs, the engine is basically blown on mine and the cost is about 4 grand. i still owe 7 grand due to the dealers pitch of what was suppose to be 17% fixed on the whole amount of the loan only. this is something to watch out for, to anyone going to dealers. when it does work, there is a lot of road noise on the freeway. yet, gas milage is good.

Amenity's the car is fully loaded, just doesn't talk to you,

Weakness:

OEM tires Car came with Good Year Eagle LS 225/55r. For me a bit noisy. Plann to get rid of them. Going to try the Continental ContiTouring Contact CH95

This vehicle has been a joy both in owership and ride comfort, style and performance. Priced and at a great price for a used auto which I think may be it's draw back they lose a lot of value. But I buy cars and keep them for 8-10 years so value isn't what look at when I purchase. I haven't had to do any maintance yet short of the A/C check and engine oil both the Dealer took care of with no charge to me. The amenitys of the car is nothing left out the only thing I don't have is a cd changer which really I didn't really need I kind of like changing the cd's after play. My previsious auto had the 6 disk changer in the trunk which rearely got changed, personlly I found that a drag. Since I'm over 6ft tall the only disadvandge of this car is a little short for my left leg in room extention. I'm not feeling real great about it's gas milage being I came from a Linclon Towncar the gas mileage is about the same and of course it doesn't handle the same as a Linclon but I'm not complaining. Overall I would highly recommend this auto to anyone looking for a sporty-refine lux car.

Strength:

The interior space and the confortable ride.

Weakness:

See the summary above for just a few. It cost me thousands in repair.

I love the room inside this car!! It's just that I have had a large variety of problems with it. My friends have been advising me to get rid of it since the transmission went out in 1997. I have had so many problems. Here are just a few: The transmission had to be replaced after 2 years. I have had major problems with the AIR CONDITIONING(Three times/only once covered by warranty), heater panel fried out on a 15 below zero day, and as of yesterday, it is just blowing cold air. I am hoping it's the thermostat. I have replaced the serpentine belt, the struts, all of the brakes, the disks and just as a kicker, the rear view mirror just fell off one day. I won't bore you with the rest of the list. This car has been such a pain. I can't even sell it because every time I want to something else goes wrong that I have to fix in order to sell it and then I have no $ for a downpayment of a new car. I am starting to get rust on the back right side by the passenger's door.

Strength:

-Incredible amounts of interior and trunk space. Lots of leg room for back seat passengers. -Engine has plenty of get up and go if you need it, and has better fuel economy than any V8 luxury sedan I personally know of. -Leather interior is very comfortable, and I love the power seats. -The power moonroof (factory installed) on my LHS is airtight, you couldn't force a drop of water through those seals with a fire hose. -The styling of the earlier generation LHS still doesn't look aged, and has a lot of class. -Rear vents are great for long trips with passengers. -Full size spare is excellent in the event of a flat (donut spares are ugly and unreliable)

Weakness:

-Transmission seems to give many people problems in the year models before 1998. -Could use more leg room for the driver's left leg, but I am biased as I am 6'3" with long legs. -Gas mileage could be a little better, mine gets about 17mpg in city and about 26mpg at 75 mph on the highway. -I would expect a little bit less road noise on the highway from a car in this class, but by no means is the road noise deafening. -The headlights are slightly dim, but I am going to remedy that myself with a screwdriver and $20.

This car has been excellent to me. I read a number of reviews, and got a bad impression, but after test driving the car I had to buy it. I haven't had any mechanical problems thus far: So far all I've done is normal maintenance such as transmission fluid replacement, fuel and air filter replacements, and a fuel system cleaning treatment. I truly believe that many of the problems people experience from this car are from harsh treatment. I purchased this car used with 103,000 miles on it, and now have over 130,000 miles. The engine uses no oil and the transmission is solid as a rock. This is my favorite car of the ones I've owned thus far. It handles well for a big car, has great interior room, and doesn't sacrifice much on the luxury side. If you treat this car well, meaning drive nicely, it will do great things for you. If you like to hot rod around a lot, I wouldn't suggest it. I drive like an old man, even though I am under 30, but my vehicles always last.

Strength:

The seats are great for long rides and the sunroof is a nice feature. You can find them used for not much money and you get a lot of car for that money.

Weakness:

If you have your transmission serviced, you will not need to worry about it breaking on you. The main weakness is the resale value. In less than two years it was worth thousands less with only 10,000 extra miles on it (74000).

This is a very nice car. The ride is great and I did not have any troubles with it at all. The gas mileage was very good.

Ride, handling, comfort, back seat room, huge trunk, optional Prestige CD system is very good.

Weakness:

Chrysler service seems to drop off a bit on older cars; maybe they want me to upgrade? Squeaks in the door hinges are annoying and keep coming back.

I purchased this in the fall of 1997 when it only had 54,000 miles on it. 1,500 miles later the air conditioner compressor went out. :-( That was actually the LAST problem I've had with it. With a new set of Pirelli tires, it handles almost - and I'm serious about the almost - as well as the 1997 BMW 740i I also owned, and rode considerably better! The car now has 82,000 miles and is still a plesure to drive with good gas mileage and adequate power. The BMW was gone after 2 years. Considering a 300M at this time if I can find a good used one!

Good style, excellent handling and ride. 3.5 L engine is very powerful. Gets 26 MPG in combined ( city / rural ) driving.

Weakness:

headlights dont seem bright enough.

bought w/ 86000 Miles, now showing 196000 Miles. Mostly trouble free, except for 2 fan belts. A/C leaks about 2 $3.50 cans of freon a year. Still rides and drives like a new car. We considered trading to something newer, but can't find anything that handles and rides as well, for less than 25K. Will most likely move up to a LHS. Have had many cars in my 40 years of driving, this one will be hard to beat. Last car was a 90 Dodge (276K)& 91 Dodge van w/ 226K, both driven away by their happy new owners.

Big boy

Strength:

Its looks... one of the nicest looking cars arround. The 3.5L engine is powerful and the ride in the vehicle is amazing. "safe" is the best way to describe the feeling you have driving down the highway in the fast lane!

Weakness:

Fuel economy. BRUTAL... but what should you expect from such a big car right? Cost of parts is very surprising... Just replaced the brakes... front and rear including rotors... ? $1,100.00!! for a domestic vehicle?

Beautiful looking car. Fell in love with the looks... and I've been paying ever since! We bought the car two years ago with 150,00km on it. Two days after I drove it off the lot... the air conditioning died. I should have known right there it would be a problem. $1200.00 later, the car was fixed and I was still happy with my purchase... since then... $5,000.00 in repairs ranging from three "no starts" (it still looks good even on the back of the tow truck) front struts and wheel bearings, more air conditioning problems... this time it was the compressor and the list goes on. Even with the repairs I love my car (call me stupid) I just figure I got a lemon. I'm going on three months now with no major repairs and shes got 215,000km on her now... maybe... the worst is over?

Price. It's all pure driving enjoyment.

Weakness:

No biggies. The cruise control buttons could use a click that you can either hear or feel to make it easier to tell that the button is actually pushed. The traction control right-left-right pull takes some getting used to. It's not 4wd, but it's definately better than 2wd.

Smooth, comfortable ride. Great for long distance driving. Excellent fuel economy (~27mpg). Plenty of on-demand performance. I love how the cruise picks up smoothly and slows you down when you're going downhill - prevents a speeding ticket at the bottom of a steep downgrade. Audio is fantastic. It's AM/FM radio gets better reception than any other vehicle I've owned. That's nice when you're driving thru the midwestern states. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Strength:

Styling, engine performance (acceleration, dependability, and MPG), interior comfort and convenience features, and dealer service.

Weakness:

Haven't had any significant issues with the car in the 18 months (44,000 miles) I've had it.

Overall, this has been the best vehicle I've ever had (I'm 56 years old, so I've had many cars by this point in my life). Most important, it's been extremely dependable. In 18 months and over 44,000 miles, I've only had it back to the dealer once for warranty work (bad rear speakers-no problems after they were replaced). I'm a demanding person so this dependability has been extremely important to me and very much appreciated. I spend 30-45 minutes each way commuting to work and actually enjoy (except for traffic jams) my time in the car. This car is the most fun to drive I've ever owned and I spent 20 years driving a 1975 Corvette. The LHS has excellent acceleration, fuel economy (24 mpg overall), crisp handling, excellent braking, firm and confident ride. It feels very nimble for a large car. It has many luxury features (auto temperature control, heated leather bucket seats, excellent stereo w/CD and steering wheel controls, keyless entry w/2 driver memory, center concole, rear armrest, rear seat pass through for skis, etc. It also has a very large trunk. Topped off with eye-catching styling, this car is a great value at this price. For 2002 the LHS has been dropped but the Concorde took over the body style. The 300M has many of the same features but has a smaller body, most notably the trunk area.
