Strength:

Looks, supercharged pep, fit and finish, dealer experience, value.

Weakness:

Floor mounted parking brake??? No standard CD player??

A wonderful car that drives as good as it looks. I considered the RSX Type-S but the Mercedes is just so much more comfortable and luxurious. You wouldn''t believe the comments I get, most consider it a much more expensive car. The only option I included was the leather seats.

Strength:

If you get the sport package you are driving the equivalent to the AMG package offered in years past. Strongly Reccomended.

Weakness:

I tried to think of one, couldn''t.

I test drove the new Jaguar X-Type and was going to buy it. Luckily, I test drove the C320 first! This car has caught BMW & Audi, equaling their stylish interiors and surpassing them. This car drives better than the competition not losing anything in sports performance. Additionally, mercedez luxury is superior, you don''t feel every bump in the road like BMW and Audi. Step up your game with the C series Benzo.

Speed, Handling, Braking, good looks

Weakness:

None

I was looking for a sport sedan with an automatic since I have back problems. I have test driven some of the other luxury models and found them wanting in some respects. This car has it all--speed, handling, braking, comfort, enough luxury goodies to ride long distances, 4 door practicality, and good looks. Although not inexpensive, for what you get(including the AMG modifications) this car is a relative bargain!

Luxury plus! Easy to drive, handles well, good gas mileage for it''s size.

Weakness:

4 cyl.engine a little underpowered, but makes up for it in good gas mileage.

Bought this car at a "steal" price from a former dot-com employee. Wow, am I impressed with this car. Nothing that I have previously owned compared with it. It has over 100,000 miles, but who cares? At the price I paid for it, it is a fantastic buy.

Strength:

Still a very solid vehicle after more than two years and over 81,000 miles. Turns heads and receives compliments from riders. Very predictable. Good value for the money. So is a Honda Accord, but one can definitely tell the difference when driving the M-B.

Weakness:

Seat-belt retractor developed a slight rattle around 70,000 miles, but easy to fix. Gas gauge sensor erratic during the last month. Would like a CD changer, but price and location in trunk won''t do it. Not particularly enamored of the rear end aesthetically, but it is the smaller Benz. So, all things considered, relatively little in the way of weaknesses.

Bought it new. Now has over 81,000 miles. Do a good mix of back roads even gravel roads, and interstate driving, from flat to mountainous terrain, from crowded to very little traffic. Performance has been consistent and excellent. Mileage usually around 27 mpg, when averaging about 75-80 mph. Cruise control keeps it very steady. Have had it at 130 mph without a groan and feeling like silk. Goes where it''s pointed and stops when asked. ABS employed twice and worked as expected. As 95% of my driving is alone, back seat is not an issue, but when it was used, passengers raved, but they weren''t over six feet tall, either. I''ve had numerous 10-hour drives where I''ve been discomfited only by the length of the drive, not by the car. Needless to say, lesser drives are no problem at all; very comfortable. Service at James Motors, Lexington, KY, excellent and D. Patrick in Evansville, IN, has been fine. FSS is a real plus. This particular model has a perciptibly different look due to the front air dam and lower side moulding, which makes it appear more sporty. The fit and finish is excellent, but can''t avoid little stone chips following coal trucks. Not visible to anyone except me when washing it. Radio is a pleasant surprise when considering the antenna is in the bumper. Split rear seat has been handy a time or two. Automatic climate control works as expected and can be adjusted manually to suit needs. Single wiper works well in a deluge, but the intermittent speed is a bit too lengthy between swipes. Rear windows go all the way down and the sunroof tilts, slides, and between the windows and the roof, any combination of airflows can be done, if one doesn''t want to use the climate control. But, the roof can be opened in February and the heat keeps a body warm.

Very fast in the bottom end Ride is perfect Seats are firm, but comfortable Loads of headroom Great wheels with Evolution Package Cool dash display with many features Lighting is great for a car of this price Comes standard with fog lights, heated mirrors, dimming rear view mirror.

Weakness:

Could be an inch or two wider Rear end is a little strange looking, but I''m willing to get used to it!!

I can''t believe I own a Mercedes-Benz!! What a steal this car is!! It is a quality product from top to bottom. DO NOT HESITATE TO TEST THIS CAR, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! I almost bought an Acura RSX, and I''m here to tell you, there is NO COMPARISON...ABSOLUTELY NONE!! The Acura is a go-cart compared to the Mercedes. Couple that with the prestige factor, and you will have a car that you''ll be happy with for many years to come!!

Strength:

Body styling, lay out of cockpit, quaility of fit and paint. No road or engine noise.

Weakness:

My wife is not happy with the Automatic diming rearview mirror. She said its hard to see vehicles behind her at night. I am not a fan of having to change compact disks in the trunk.

This is the most solid vehicle I have ever owned. I traded in my late model corvette, so this was a big change. I will never own another GM product again. After reading the posted reviews and many people think MB repairs are expensive. I had a light bulb go out on my radio in my vette, the radio must be removed by the dealer, sent away to be fixed with a price tag of over $300.00 (FOR A LIGHT BULB??)this is not covered by warranty). I am use to power and the kompressor engine is strong. The ride is excellent and great value for the dollar. I bought this used and the repair history was only a minor clicking in a fan switch at 9k. If you are looking for a great value and tired of the cheap plastic look alike cars then this is the way to go.

Strength:

Acceleration Braking Handling Features galore for this price. Safety (ABS, Stability Program, Traction Control). Quiet at high speed (without the sunroof). 6 speed manual is impressive. Rear Wheel Drive. Strangers have approached me and asked me about this car - this is unusual for me. Best trip at 33.5 mpg (driving around 60 mpg).

Weakness:

Not quite Japanese Car Quality. The rear styling still seems odd. Rear visibility is not the best - but still not bad No CD player. Worst trip at 21.3 mpg - yes I was burning it.

The C230 Coupe is not the product that I expected from Mercedes Benz - for both better and worse. The Better-> The car is sporty and fun to drive. The handling is crisp. The 6 speed manual shifts very well although the clutch take 1-2 weeks to get used to. The car is very affordable - about the same as a high end Accord or GTI/Jetta or Acura Integra and Cheaper than the new Camry The Worse-> I had the Check Engine Light turn on within the first week of ownership. A part that measures the air-fuel ratio needed to be replaced. The dealer was very responsive and helpful. Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton sounds much better than some of these other dealers. But still I had paid $27,400 in cash for the car just a few days earlier, so this was a let down to have a maintenance problem. Price above includes Californix Tax and License.
