Regal GS (Loaded)
Strength:
Performance, Style, Handling, Safety Features, Touring Package.
Weakness:
None In shopping for a car for the family (read: my wife) I had resigned myself in believing that the car we (she) chose would be economical, 4 doors and safe. I never thought that we would find a car that met those requirements plus high-performance. We shopped for quite a while looking and comparing with all of the models listed above - we kept coming back to the Regal. This car has a laundry list of safety features that makes it one of the safest cars to drive. In recent tests, Buick cars have been in the top three of all cars tested. Add to that the cabin room, the comfort of the seats (we have leather) and the other creature comforts (keyless entry, sound system, sunroof) and this baby outshines them all. Now, the icing on the cake - We intially chose the LS but I was lucky enough to test the GS before we made our final decision, guys the GS is a Wolf in Sheeps clothing. The car will spin (that's right) the tires on dry asphalt at take off. In traffic it leaps forward, it knocks you back into your seat. The GS handling package and transmission are beefed up to handle the extra torque and horsepower generated, it has a much stronger feel than the LS. The LS is a fine car, but if you want your cake and eat it too - get the GS, that way you won't mind driving the wife's car! I would recommend this car to anyone looking for performance and luxury in a car, it's a tremendous value for the money. Regal GS/Super Charged
Strength:
blowing the doors off very unsuspecting street racers, quality leather,
Weakness:
torque steer, soft steering takes getting used to, no place on console to Paid $33,000 CDN fully loaded, incl Chrome wheels/sunroof. This is a very good combination of excitement and comfort. If you want to have fun and show it no mercy, it can make the heart race, or take it on a leisurely drive in the park or on a long trip it is a very satisfying car to own and drive. I'm 43 years old. Strength:
Reliable, Fast, Good gas mileage, nice stlying, good ride, easy to use controls. All in all it's a nice car.
Weakness:
There was a time when cars like the monte carlo, or grand prix were labled muscle cars. They had an advantage in styling and power over other cars. Today things have changed, no longer can one expect a car to live up to it's fathers name. If you want a car that reminds you of yesterday, buy an old car. Trying to relive glory through any new model is a waste of time. I paid about 14,000 for it. It's a great car, but looking at it's family tree, I'd expect a car that went beyond the limits of it's fathers, but it'd rather live in his shadow. Throw a V8 in, get a scooped hood, and a flashy paint job, and you'll have something to talk about. Similar Products Used: It reminds me of a more sporty Taurus, the Chrysler Sebring, Grand Prix. |

How
Strength:
Acceleration, good mileage, and good handling. Styling is fine for me.
Weakness:
Cup holders (both rear and back) need to be redesigned. I thought the road and wind noise were a bit high. I had it undercoated to soften the road noise a bit. Love the supercharged V6..........if you don't abuse the power, it gets great mileage, and the power is there if you need it. One of the best cars I have driven. It took a while to get used to all the extra features. It's a fun car to drive. |

Buick Regal LSE
Strength:
Value in class, comfort, drivetrain, features.
Weakness:
Console is too low, from the back it looks too much like the Century. In this class this car represents an outstanding value. The LSE package is definetly the move. It stickers for considerably less than an LS with similar options and doesn't come with the outdated chrome trim. I got the car for just over $24,000 with sunroof, chrome rims, handling package, CD/Cassette radio, leather, and a boatload of other features you wouldn't expect for this price. I compared it to a Maxima and Camry and they both would have cost thousands more with similar equipment. Compared to the Camry this car is bigger, faster, and I think much more stylish and comfortable. The drivetrain is smooth, especially the transmission. Please keep in mind that in my early thirties, I am hardly Buick's target audience. The car is solid and well appointed. With the venerable Series II 3800 V6 this is also a car you can bank on for 100,000+ miles. I would highly recomend this car to anyone interested in a midsize sedan. Similar Products Used: None |
