Strength:

Prety good looking car. Great car for the price. Decent engine. I would go for the Z24 over the 2.2 though.

Weakness:

It was weak cornering when I got it. I upgraded the rims to 15" and put better tires on it and it is great.
Noisy, but I have bad hearing anyway.
Rough ride on unsmooth road. It actually sounds like something is loose sometimes.

I am a college student who is torture on cars!! This car has taken everything I have thrown at it and still carrys me around without problems. I have about 60000 miles on it now and I expect another 60 before it dies!! I have pushed this thing through 1 foot of water down in LA a few years ago. I have been mud riding(sort of) many times. And more recently I encountered 15 inches of snow here in AR. It has taken it all without slowing down.
I recomend it for someone who needs a car that is dependable but not a Lexus. If you are looking for a luxury car, buy a Lexus.
I give it 4 stars b/c nothing is perfect.

Strength:

The Z24 comes with the 150hp/155lb engine, and has great acceleration. Best car in its price range for power. Very good fuel economy given the how fast I drive (35mpg hgwy). Love the CD player, and the standard power goodies. Did I mention the engine yet?

Weakness:

The seats suck. Seriously. They're ok for a hop and skip around town, and reasonably good for long distance, but you'll swing to and fro in the twisties. Speaking of which, the suspension could be a little tighter - a little less body roll, two. And the shifter handle hurt my hand, had to replace it. The shifter boot looks cheap, as does the interior.

Paid 16K, and would heartily recommend it to anyone. 10hp shy of the import favorite Civic Si, but it has a torque advantage, making power all across the scope of the powerband. Low end grunt, mid level grunt, top level grunt. Love it. Very reliable - not a single problem mechanically or electronically.

1986 Cavalier 4dr - My first car, and the current Cavalier is vastly better. Like comparing a Ford to a Yugo. 1993 Shadow ES - My 2nd car, and the Z24 almost has as much torque. Much better handling, better brakes, better seats (dodge doesn't make good seats). Quicker than the Shadow, and more room.

Strength:

good power for the price(I can dust intergra's,(not a GSR)civics, older preludes
good looks
good standard features(16''rims,lowprofile tires, nice sliding glass moonroof, fog lights
good sound with aftermarket exhaust and intake
good paint

Weakness:

to much bodyroll for my liking
bad build quality
loose sounding suspension on anything other than smooth pavement
deppreciates way to much and to quickly
to many on the road(where I live anyway)
to many little problems for a new car
BAD BUILD QUALITY!!!!!!!

If you want a sporty looking car for a decent price, this is your car. If you appriciate good craftsmanship, or car that everybody else does not have, this is not your car. I think that it was the worst decision that I have ever made. For example, there is 18,000 dollars left to go on the damn thing and it is only worth maybe 14,000 or 15,000 dollars if I were to try and sell it (this is in Canadian funds if you are wondering why it seems so expensive) My advice is to save a little more coin and step into a civic SI if you are looking in this general price range. I have to give it three stars because I used to really like it. This was before I realized that the imports are the way to go.

Strength:

This is an excellent car with a very peppy engine. We
have the larger four cylinder engine. It has exceptional
pickup exceeding that of larger cars. Handling in all
cases, winter and summer is exceptional. One has to get
used to abs brakes on a light car. I have excellent
leather upholstery on this four door. Interstate drive
between Madison, WI and Chicago demonstrated its speed
and handling. With over 12000 miles and not a problem
I recommend this agile compact.

Weakness:

Not a sngle one considering its cost and size.
This is not a car for very large people

I paid about $13000 for this fully equipped compact.
I recommend it over any Japanese vehicle.

Strength:

Comfortable small car, good pickup, very little rust.

Weakness:

Major electrical problems - starter, alternator, 3 horns, 2 sets of brakes and shocks all under 110 000 km.

This was the worst car I have ever owned. I would come out to my car after working all day to find the battery dead because the interior light was on and all doors were closed tight.

While the new ones ride much better, there are better cars in the marketplace. Next time I will purchase something with quality - ie Consumer Reports top reliable models.

Strength:

Amazing gas mileage. I get over 30 miles to the gallon in town, 40 on the highway. Looks great, low price, just wonderful.

Weakness:

Has to warm up for 15 min. every morning.

In general, it's a great car, I recommend it to anybody who wants a car that will last and not cost them a lot to maintain.

Strength:

Low price, decent road preformance. Looks are not bad. Fuel economy is good.

Weakness:

CHEAP overall. Coarse loud engine dosen't provide much power at all (only 115 hp). The 3 speed auto saps most of the power this car produces. Interior is cheap and very plain. Seats are way too soft and material looks as if it wears out quickly. Brakes soft and rotors warp easily.

A okay car if you don't have much money to spend and you don't care too much about power or preformance in general. Reliability is suspect on most GM vehicles.

Strength:

Great styling, reliable, decent engine, very good base stereo, good fuel economy, excellent controls and ergonomics

Weakness:

Loud engine, slightly soft suspension, needs more acceleration from standstill, slightly ugly hub caps, needs five spoke alloy wheels standard

I really like this car because it comes with a lot of good standard features and the styling is awesome. It looks like a Camaro family car. I would recommend the Z24 because it has better acceleration and alloy wheels. The stereo has a lot of bass and the ergonomics make this car very enjoyable to cruise around in. I would also recommend the 4 door because it is better looking and more convienent.
