awesome baby! I have a friend who just bought a flood damaged honda ex for 10,000 and he loved it till i brought this car to work. Now he is kinda bummed he didn't get a z for 5g's more. Smokin' little car! Had two minor problems that were fixed in less than an hour. 1. the door latch assembly was loose, 2. An electrical connector was loose. All fixed and no other problems.

RELIABILITY!! My third car will be a Cavalier.

Weakness:

Can't think of one

Excellent Car. Running for almost 9 years with less than a half-dozen repairs. 2 Radiators that caught rocks, 1 heater core, 1 alternator, and 1 clutch. Current mileage is 292,000 and rising. I drive this car 46 miles each way to work and back and only missed one day. It's my second Cavalier. Between the 2, I've been on the road for 16 years covering more than 480,000 miles.

Strength:

Pick-up, gas mileage, aftermarket parts available (thanks to www.j-boy.org)

Weakness:

That I only got the 2.2L engine, 108MPH speed governor, accelerations slows at about 60 then pick up and slows at about 90.

I love this car. I got an extremely good deal, the car had only 18265 miles when i bought it. Now it has right over 50k. This car even with the 2.2L and 3spd auto was dead even with a 2k celica GT everytime we raced. A slight exhaust modification and i would kill him everytime. I have seen very few cars that can pull off the line as quick as this one. Can even beat a Ford Mustang...don't have a chance (NOT the GT though).

Strength:

Can't think of any right now.

Weakness:

Very bad stereo system, tape player already broken, I hate the stick shift thing (it's really little), is very loud when you give it a lot of gas.

This car is ok for me right now but I can't wait to get something that is fast and that has a nice stereo system. On the plus side though, it has great gas mileage and handles really well.

Weakness:

See above.

I have had many, many problems with this 1995 Cavalier 2-Door Coupe. The head gasket has blown twice, the transmission had to be replaced in 1999, as well as the windshield wiper motor, the air conditioner unit has gone out 5 times (each and every summer save the first), and the blower motor had to be replaced in 2000. Furthermore, the car's shocks are terrible, i.e. you feel each and every bump, and the doors freeze shut in the wintertime so make sure you have lock de-icer on you at all times. I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

Silly me, I thought that purchasing a new car would mean that it would last longer and better than a used one. I was wrong. Do NOT purchase a Cevrolet Cavalier under any circumstances!

Strength:

Great Gas Mileage! Runs great, very reliable. We have two, because they are such great cars for the price.

Weakness:

It's an economy car, so it does lack some features.... Common problem is that Oil may leak from the head gasket, but Chevy has a silent recall on this issue, so if you take it to any Chevy dealer, they will cover it free of charge.

Great! I've drove this car into the ground and it still runs as good as when I bought it. It now has almost 70,000 miles on it and I have had no major problems at all! One really bad thing tho, Oil started leaking from head gasket --- but the Chevy dealer covered it completely because they have a silent recall on the problem for all Chevy Cavaliar's (so if this happens to you, take it to your Chevy dealer!!!!) Other than that just a few minor things here and there.... most were covered under the waranty when I had it.

This was my first car, I got it when I was 16 and it was two years old. I've put close to 40,000 miles on it and it still runs great. I'm now a freshman in college and I hope to keep it until I graduate.
