Comfortable Roomy Fast Great stereo Theft protection ABS
Weakness:
Water Leaks As far as this car goes, I think it is a great vehicle. As long as you do the maintenance work, like oil changes, brake jobs when they are due, and tire rotations....the car runs fabulous. I have had only 2 issues with my car, and only one is major to me. There is water that leaks into my car during heavy rain and leaves standing water onmy back seat floor. (Which Chevy is going to repair.) The other is my evaporation system sends out alerts from time to time and I just have to get it the light reset on my dash. (Which is free at any shop.) I love my Malibu: it is fast, comfortable, roomy, and most of all fun to drive. I would definitely recommend this car. |

from what i hear, the breaks Well, I got my car for my 16th birthday. Haven't had a problem yet except for one thing. The brakes sound liek they are rubbing jsut a LITTLE BIT when i push them at slower speeds. Its only the left wheel. I had to have a new wire thing put in for my brake lights and thats it. Everythign else is fine. THIS IS A GOOD CAR! |

Strength:
It is comfortable to sit in or to rest in with seat laid back. Good trunk size
Weakness:
Many minor and major defects, Main complaint are the dangerous brakes!! Lack of support from Customers service. You have to scream and threaten repeatedly before they will do anything. DO NOT BUY, Worst car I have ever had. I WILL GET RID OF AS SOON AS I CAN AFFORD TO> Defective brakes, I am now on my 8th set - rtors and pads - and need a change about every 7,000 - 10,000 kms. They are constantly rubbing while driving and so have constant vibration. GM make every excuse in the book especially that I must be riding the brakes!!! They now have admitted that Malibu does have "poor brakes'. So far they have replaced brakes under warranty, given me an extended warranty but the last time they said no more. I have had a complete set of new Tires - GM paid. Very noisy - "air noise" by window when driving on highway. Poor working of heating and A/C system Coolant system repaired as leaking. Door locking system - a pain Trunk lid use to open by itself while driving. Similar Products Used: Toyota Tercel, Chevy Cavialer |

The looks, but don't be fooled by them.
Weakness:
Everything The car looked better than an average american car and I was fooled by it's looks. Brakes were terrible and were replaced numerous times, ABS light would come on. Front end would make a rattling noise, trunk leaked water and would make awful smell. Engine leaked coolant after 40,000 miles. |

none that i seen
Weakness:
the car has a flaw.... Chevy built it LEMON I thought that is was just mine. My problem was that you would becoming to a stop and the engine would just die. I bought the car new and at 2 years and 5 months i had 36 papers of service notes and the car still die and GM thought my extending the warranty on the die out that I would keep the car no I don't think so. |

Strength:
Powerful 2.4 liter quad 4, 4 cyl., nice interior, easy to maintain, large trunk, plenty of backseat room, good stock system, great gas milage, and good torque
Weakness:
the suspension and exhaust I don't know what the big deal is about people thinking this is a crappy car. yes it has it's downsides but overall it has a nice interior, powerful engine, and an okay ride. I admit there are other cars that I would rather be driving but I cant afford them, and i am realistic. I put 100 dollars into this car after I bought it, and I have already raced a V8 mustang and beat it. Seriously. And if YOU ACTUALLY take care of your car and not rely on a dealership to do it it will last a lot longer time. Similar Products Used: Civic(don't like), Cadilac |

NONE AT ALL--CRAPPY-LEMON CAR
Weakness:
WHOLE GARBARGE CRAPPY CAR The brakes were defective from the factory-they were srubbing three months after purchasing the car--not until I complained about noise did dealership inform me that brakes were already known to be defective--the radio would not stop scanning and it took dealership a total of five different times to get it fixed--seatbelt on passenger side would not latch--car jerks into motion after slowing or coming to a complete stop--takes a long while for car's motor to turn over in morning when first started and reaks of gasoline once it is started--A/C makes a bloop bloop noise everytime I run it--have taken car in for brakes on six different occassions and they are still scrubbing making the car slide and vibrate upon application--pistons in motor were defective from the factory so they were supposedly replaced--but car is still making high squeaking noise in the morning--have to refill front tires with air ever month,etc.--I have consistently taken car in and advised service dept. of problems-but they told me that no of my claims could be duplicated-- Similar Products Used: This is the worst car that I have ever owned--and this is my first brand new car |

Too many to list. It just plain sucks. This is the WORST car I have EVER owned and I feel like we've all been taken for a ride (to the dealership, of course). My 75 Ford Grenada lasted longer than this piece of garbage. Similar Products Used: Nothing compares to it but every other lemon vehicle out there. |
