LETRECIA FORNEY

Strength:

The only strength is the roominess of the car and that is it.

Weakness:

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CAR IS WEAK, IT IS A WONDER IT DOESN''T JUST FALL APART.

I have had nothing but trouble with this car, and I did not know what to do, after a 2 years my A/C does not work most of the time it cuts on and off when it does, my brakes are replaced every 3 months, and I have replaced my rotars, my water pump, the right rear tail light would hold water, and my windshield had to be replaced when I first bought the car, I feel Chevrolet should be liable for the pain and suffering this car has caused owners and should be compensated. I do not recommend anyone to buy this car.

Strength:

Power, room, and handling

Weakness:

A/c, frontend is making the noise one again, starting to rattle and tradin

When I first bought the car I loved it. With in the first month I found the the A/C had stoped working, the fan only worked on the tope three settings, the acc. jack and cig. lighter didnt work, the frontend was making a knocking noise and the car leaked coolant. I like the power, looks, and the room inside and in the trunk. I have sence put the car back in the shop for the A/C, altenator, and now it is in the shop right now for the coolant leaking into the oil. I only have 63,000 miles on the car.

Weakness:

The breaks are changed every 3 months and the rotors have been cut and replaced twice after 15K. Check engine light comes on, dealer can not find problem. A/C, Heater only works on level 3 and above. ABS system doesn''t always work. I''ve been in two fender benders within a year with MPH under 30. Rubber on parking break falls off and I don''t use it to park. Rear lights short out, water in rear light panel. Faulty air bag, sensors. Gas gauge was replaced.

Car a poor performer. Left cup holder can not hold a cup it''s only good to hold change and to soil your rugs and burn you. If you like to change breaks often, this is your car! Don''t waste your hard earned money on this item. Chevy is supporting a death trap.

Strength:

The Malibu is a very spacious car with lots of headroom and a big trunk. I also like the standard V6 engine.

Weakness:

This car is terrible on brakes, I''ve had the brakes replaced 3 times in 2 years and will be needing some more shortly. The brakes seem to wear very fast-cheap parts?? I don''t know.

Overall, this car offers a lot for the price (although I was overcharged). In general, it offers most standard features for one price whereas the competitors add on additional costs for V6, ABS, etc....The car is worth the money, but plan to replace the brakes often (which is covered under the warranty for 3yrs/36mos.

EVERYTHING....alot more better than my sister''s 2000 Camry!

Weakness:

Nothing.

Over all my Malibu has been great. I read some of the other reviews and iam shocked to see that your other Malibu''s have been giving yall so many problems. Currently I have 69k miles, on my 3.1 liter, with out no problems. I think most of yall are not doing proper keep up that why the problems happen. Next month I plan to buy a 2002 Malibu LS, that just shows you what I think of the Malibu.

Brakes, electrical, suspension, motor

Same old same old.Brakes, electrical, motor, suspension. Try this one out, after the first brake repair I notified GM and the Dealer that they only have one attempt to fix the brakes and the car is a lemon under the law. Must notify in Md. Now even though the car shakes pedel pulsates they will not fix it! GM SUCKS do not waste your time with the customer service line or the area vehicle manager. Can''t trade it because I do not want to dmp this POS on someone espesially a new river that might get it as a first car. GM will take this car back. P.s the venture in 2000 has the same motor as the lemonbu and, venture''s have the same motor troublr go figure!

Strength:

Roomy, nice looking, nicely priced, love the V6 pickup on the highway.

Weakness:

Obviously nothing to big yet but I quess I''m just lucky. Although the leather cracking does bother me.

It was agreat car to start out with. This is my first car and the only problem I''ve had up to now has been the leather cracking, extremly bad. But I did say up till now. As soon as my warrenty went out my car started having a problem. It starts but only runs for about 10 mins. or so. This is very inconvienent seeing that I now am stationed in Idaho and snow is COLD to have to walk back home in. Also try explaing to you boss that yes you had the car fixed but the same thing is happening again. It begins to sound like another late to work story after the third time. I''m just glad I don''t have the same problems as all the other poor people who have written in have had. Knock on wood. If I had read the nemorus complaints from others I would not have purched it, now I''m sitting scared waiting for more problems.

Strength:

Fairly reliable for first 5 years...a car should last longer than 5 years.

Weakness:

Terrible paint, and a company that refuses to back up it''s products.

Paint started peeling after about 1 year. The company claimed that the paint was peeling because of excessive mileage!
