Well, I'm old school... It's an 85 SS. They just don't make them like this anymore. Ever since I put a 383 SB in it, what can I say ? It's got speed, the looks, room and the comfort
Weakness:
Well that 383 eats gas ( 9-11 city, 14 hwy ). Fit and finish has come along way I guess...... Payed 12K back in 1985. If you buy one, your buying a piece of history. Look for good straight, solid body with no rust and nice interior. Drop a nice engine in it and your as close to a 70' chevelle SS without having to pay big $$$$$$. Similar Products Used: Not too many vehicles can compare for the price you have to pay for a new car. I know those old black Buicks are fast, but they just don't have that sound to them. |

Strength:
smooth ride and quiet
Weakness:
When the trunk is opened, the spoiler hits the antenna leaving a black mark on the spoiler. I have 37,000 miles on my car and really like it. I did have to have the wheel bearings replaced at about 25,000 miles. |

I'm not going to be as hard on the MC as Jorge, below.
Weakness:
None that I've seen yet. I paid about 20,000 for this car. I ordered it from the factory. I upgraded to the CD player, glad I did. I ordered it in black. Similar Products Used: I've got a 13 year old Olds Ciera (2 Dr) that I'm still driving. It's been a reliable car also. |

This car, at least mine, is a LEMON. I have only 13,000 miles on the car, and have had numerous electrical and engine problems with it. The car just won't start on wet or rainy days in more cases than not, and the engine dies momentarily (for about 2 to 4 seconds) while pressing the accelerator!!! I've been to the dealer about 12 times in just the first 6 months of ownership. Also, the fit and finish blows, and I will never buy Chevy again. I should have looked at the Consumer's Reports ratings on American cars before I bought this headache! Next time, I will definitely buy German, Swedish, or Japanese with pleasurel!! |

Chevy Monte Carlo LS
Strength:
I love my Monte Carlo it is a great car. Im 17 and it is my first car I love to be able to stand at red lights and look down at lawnmower powered Hondas with V-Trash engines the car has incredible acceleration and is great to girls. Has awesome qualities the V6 3.1L engine is great for those runs to the car show and for VROOOOOMING!!!! at Ford's Mustang 5.SLOWS. Great brakes will last quite a while, great turning, incredible acceleration for the descent sized engine and not too far behind the pack with the available kits for her. Great trunk for smuggling your boys out of school with you. Pretty good factory 6x9 speakers.
Weakness:
Dual exhaust would have been nice out the box. I have smoked quite a few cars. This was even before i began to hook it up with things. I feel it is a great buy for anyone looking to buy a used car i got mine for a really good deal. The only things i have had to do to it have been a slight water pump leak and new treads. Other than those minors the detailing done to it have made the car look like a totally different one. Really great deal i recommend it to anyone looking for an American Muscle Car.has very comfy interior well designed aerodynamic. To put it in another way why else would Dale Earnhardt and Goodwrench choose a car like this to race in. Similar Products Used: None |

Monte Carlo LS

This car is FINE!!! You know the feeling that you get when you pull up to a stop and go light and its red and the guy/girl in the car next to you looks over at you like she/he is going to show you up, light turns green and your off with them stitting in your exhaust? Thats the way i feel everytime i get into my car. The car is roomy enough for all of my friends and i can even fit one person in the trunk. Its not a death trap and it isn't too big. Gas mileage is good for a college kid who travels the highways. It handles really good and gives a very smooth ride.
Weakness:
My breaks squeak when its cold but its understandable, this cold wisconsin weather can do wonders to cars. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants to turn someone's head when you drive by. Its fast when you need it to be, its dependable [when you don't leave your lights on for 8 hours] and it is cute. This car isn't for the weak at heart though, to keep it looking good you have to like to wash it and that is a chore. Similar Products Used: Ponitac Grand Prix--which was my second choice when i bought this car |

Monte Carlo ls
Strength:
I am a big fan of the interior. The wood trimmed doors and and dash gives it a real classy look, not to mention the leg room, and back seat space. THe 3.1 provides good acceleration for the car. While the z34 may have a bigger ingine the ls for the money which will be a few $$$$ less than its brother the z34 is the a good steal if the price is right.
Weakness:
The exhaust is bothering me, i am a big fan of the z34 dual exhausts, but it can be an easy fix, otherwise i havent found any yet. This is my first car and i couldnt ask for a better car to get me around in high school which should last me a long time, and when it is time for resale its should have a good resale value. FOr anyone in the market for a fist time car, i would reccomend the monte carlo to anybody. Similar Products Used: The Pontiac Grand Prix but if you wanna get a ls dont even bother with the se grand prix cause they are ugly. |

This car has just about everything a 20 year old kid can need, speed, performace, sporty, good gas mileage, great in the ohio winter, black beauty, it only has 33,000 miles on it so i did get lucky compared to everyone else on this page it seems, has a great stereo, comfortable interior and its just a great car
Weakness:
i dont like the drum brakes in the rear, i really wish i had a sunroof and a spolier(from the factory) forget about being jumped if your battery dies, u need a tow truck because the battery is absolutley buried, and the fact that I still have the original tires(which are not very cheap to buy) I would recommend this car to anyone, now the LS version i wouldnt because the 3.1 is too small of a engine for this pretty big coupe, the interior is pretty much equal on most of them accept some of those LS dont have the floor shifter which then it just looks like a damn buick, but this car all together is quality although made in canada, but it is quality GM car Similar Products Used: I had a 90 Z24 with the 3.1 which doesnt compare to the DOHC 3.4 i also had a 86 pontiac 6000 STE which had the 2.8 which general motors should be ashamed of but they were both reliable nice looking cars |

Weakness:
Piece of Junk, Constantly in the shop. Transmission had to be rebuilt. Broke counter-balance shaft in the motor. Lots of $$$s to fix. Will never buy another front wheel drive piece of feces. This is the worst car that I have ever owned. Similar Products Used: 1996 Lumina, Lunina doesn't look as good nor does it have the power of the MonteCarlo but at least it is dependable |
