This being our 2nd Sebring, the first being a 1997. The newer style is MUCH better...especailly with the turning radius improvement and higher front end which saves the scratches and dings when entering driveways. Overall the 2002 (current body style) is a winner. Outside I the car is a head-turner. Under the hood the 6 cylinder is awesome..supplying plenty of power which is handy when making a quick pass. Acceleration is great and the car never seems to struggle, even with a big load in the trunk and back seat. Having adults in the back seat is no problem and nt is nice not needing to move the front seats forward. Our car has all the toys including a killer sound system. To be honerst this is the first car I have ever had where I KEPT the factory stereo. The transmission is indecisive at times but overall I love this car. If you decide to get one make sure to rotate the tires often. We did it a bit late causing a 'mud tire' sound from the rear wheels...nothing but a new set of tires will correct.

rims are very thin causing many flat tires due to loss of beading.

I absolutely love everything about this car. It looks great, it runs great and it handles great. I have put very little money into repairs (normal maintenance) and the car has 115,000 mi on it. It is not a convertible, but has a moon roof. The leather interior is great and the trunk is incredibly roomy. The back seats fold down for even more room. I will definitely buy another.

Great four banger that can and will keep up with most of the sixes out there..Great performance and stablity, comfort and ergonomics....Kick ass Stereo

Weakness:

Paint......Must wax Often Tranny, while generally smooth in acceleration, wide open throtle kickdowns are a little rough sometimes.

Silver Sedan, Four doors....If you think you should spring for the V-6, Don't...The four has almost as much power, comparable torque and is just as quick (I think Chrysler fudged the HP and torque numbers to skate under EPA on the four)...At any rate, I drove the car from Albuquerque, NM, to Los Angeles, CA on Interstate 40, and then through LA traffic. This car is great on the open road and in traffic.....It was REALLY quick in LA (Kept up with the Beemers and Mercedes' of Beverly Hills no trouble) and looks GREAT to boot....Mine especially since it has the sexy looking spoiler on the back. Inside the interior is clean, neat and functional with a wonder sound system (no need to go aftermarket here) and the phaux wood on the dash is nice, and looks real. Since I live in Arizona, I opted out of leather, for understandable reasons, but the seats are firm and comfortable on the road and the voluminous cabin and trunk swallowed luggage, Disnyland souveniers and my wife's wheelchair with room to spare. The back seat is of 1960's luxo-boat dimensions where a 5'0 woman (my wife) can lay down to sleep without much discomfort.... Did I say this car (even with the four cylinder) is FAST..... Tip for the paint problems though, NuFinish and wax every other wash will keep the finish nice.... I have previously owned a Chrysler product a few years ago, and swore that would never own another, but since Mercedes parent company bought them out the quality has improved GREATLY....There are cues throughout the vehicle both outside and in that this is really a poor man's Mercedes......Which I don't mind..

Strength:

Value for Money Roomy, compared to other cabs. Innovative design. Excellent Soundsystem. Good handling.

Weakness:

Few accessories. Not easy to find costumparts. Windnoise ( ITS A CONVERTIBLE )

Love it. Had a 1999/Cirrus and a 2001/Sebring sedan, but this one beats them both. Havent had too much time with top down, but its just as roomy inside as the sedan. It is a cruiser, and just by the looks of it, cruising is what it was made for. Once you pass 120 km/t its not pleasant driving with or without the top, way too much windnoise. Plenty of horsepower to speed if you want to, I did 210 km/t on the Autobahn in Germany, with no problems at all, it was still a nice car to handle. But I would save the horses for passing at lesser speeds. I have been in Merc´s, Audi´s and a Mustang Cabriolets and this Cab beats them all, in roominess, soundsystem and looks. Otherwise every car has its strongpoint.

Strength:

Low gas consumption. Good torque for 2.7 litres. Reliable (at least for my 30 000 miles). Cheap servicing. Warranty in Europe 65 000 miles.

Weakness:

Sun visor clips break because they are wrong placed (peanuts!). No sports car but a cruiser, so doesen't like narrow bends too much. Steering too many turns from lock to lock. Bad side and rear visibility (like most convertibles). No ideal driving position for the long-legged and short-armed.

It is a convertible and they all do leak and have rattles. Compared to other conv's this is one of the best. Looks are a question of taste. Apes italian sports car but misses target for miles. It is very comfortable and has luxurious touches. But interior quality is somewhat dubious (as on all americans). Very good value for money though (Thunderbird costs 75 000 US-$ in my country!). Brakes a bit squeeky but firm (no problems with rotors for me). Creaks from front stemming from springs and their seats.(a little grease helps, but not for long).

Ragtop down on a 80 degree day. Kind of fast. Sporty look.

Weakness:

Blind spot sucks bad. Ragtop has stains on it that won't come out. Bad shifting on gearbox. Not very fast off the line (got beat by a 4 banger accord). Paint peeling a little. Hubcaps leave alot to be desired

OK car. Love it with the top down. Top up kind of sucks. Overall I don't hate it but wouldn't buy another. Basically form over function.

PAINT!!!

I fell in love with this car when I saw it-now I love to hate it. The passenger side door handle has broken off and my once beautiful black car is now covered in huge white spots on the roof and trunk where the paint is disappearing in front of my very eyes. Chrysler of course won't cover it because my car has not rusted from underneath the paint to cause the problem. I just replaced frontend brakes at 55,000 which I don't think is too bad. Other than hating to look at it every time I get in it I do still like it. I just need to spend about $1000+ on paint to make me feel it is worth paying for.

Strength:

Looks good

Weakness:

AC, brakes, drivetrain, suspension and safety features are all substandard especially considering the price we paid.

This is a good looking car and looks can be deceiving. It rattles and squeaks like a wagon, the brakes are shot at 35000 miles. We have had it in the shop for air conditioner problems 3 or 4 times since buying it new 2 and 1/2 years ago. I was involved in an accident where I couldn't stop (love those brakes) before hitting a pickup in the rear. My speed at impact was 30 - 40 mph. The airbags didn't deploy and the seat belts in the rear didn't lock thereby letting my teenage kids go head first into the back of the front seats. My wife contacted Chrysler who said they couldn't determine if there was anything wrong because the car was repaired before they could look at it. (They waited 10 days before coming out and neither I nor my insurance company could wait for them to get around to sending an investigator out.) Even before the wreck this vehicle depreciated faster than any other I have ever owned and now that it has been wrecked I will be stuck with this lemon until it's paid for. My advice to anyone looking at the Sebring is KEEP LOOKING!

Replacing tires and rims are is a huge pain. Hard to find and very expensive!

The overall quality of the car has been good. Had some problems with the front panels, but was covered by warranty. Tires are horrible. Had to replace the first tire when car was 1 month old. I have had to replace all four rims. Tires and rims very expensive.

Strength:

Looks really cool. Runs well. Has lots of power. Handles perfectly. A perfect 10.

Weakness:

I think that perhaps the only weakness of this car is that it is so good. Pople tend to abuse these cars until they run them into the ground and then sell them. All of the other reviewers on this website do not seem to realize that the problems that they are describing all have to do with how well the car was perviously maintaied, and not how good a car it really is.

This car is incredible! Not only is it one of the nicest looking cars I've ever seen, but it's one of the best running cars as well. For a 2.5 liter V-6, it an preety much outrun nything on the road(that I've encountered at least). I bought the car at 54,000 miles and have had no problems with it. he leather interior is so comfortable and the rims on this model are really much cooler than the new ones. I would recommend this car to anybody.
