Strength:

With the price of gas the milage is great. 4 door sedan carries 4 in confort. I have 41,000 miles and its still runs strong.

Weakness:

Future parts problems.

Dependable little car only problem was with the fuel injectors clogging up dealer replaced all four at no cost to me. You have to buy gas with a good detergent or you'll have injector problems. Overall the car is OK but parts are a problem. Had to fassion my own replacement lense for the fog light which was broke in a parkng lot. Just hope future mechanical parts will be available I hate scrounging in junk yards.

Weakness:

Brakes were spongy. I needed spark plug wires after 2 months and it took 9 days to get them. Then the catalytic converter plugged up. Shortly aafter that the timing belt stripped and engine valves were bent. I put $400 of work into the car and now it needs $1000-$1200 worht of work!

The price was very reasonable, but it was one of those "too good to be true" type of things.

Strength:

There is really no strengths when i pay for one thing and get nothing. Gets good gas mileage.

Weakness:

The entire Car. And the payments.

When i first purchased this "dawn" car, I was overly charged, around 24,000.00. i had to literally leave the keys on the dealership desk to say to them that they had overcharged me. Then I had to call up the dealership president. to get some results and tell him, while driving the car home after purchase. The car pulled to the right, there was a fume of some sought coming from the vents at times, and often. Three months later the right headlight went out, and something happen under the floor electriecal wise. Then i found out that the Daewoo company had filed bankruptcy. There are no parts for this car. No one validate the warranty. There are is quite a few thing s wrong with this car. WORSE" I am still paying car notes. I will never encouraged anyone to buy antything from Daewoo. All of us has brought a Daewoo we need to come together and file a big complaint to the Bureau of something or a law suit. let me know if you want to do it anyone!

Strength:

When it is running it does get great gas milage. Iwas to expect it had no pwer on the open road, but I had it going pretty good on the interstate and until it started stalling I had no problem passing. Now that it misfires I do not feel safe in this car.

Weakness:

Too numerous to count. I would have to give Daewoo in general a big thumbs down.their dealings with me in a generasl sense would keep me from purchasing anything connected with daewoo.I may pay a little bit more for a car but as God is my witness I will buy AMERICAN.(gm excluded as they bought Daewoo. They must have been fully loaded to do that)

CRAPPY CAR.First purchased a 1999 Daewoo Lanos. Was fully loaded cruise cd player power windows deluxe, price was reasonable and got fullservice warranty was told all you have to do little lady is put gas in it.Didn't have it a year when car began veering to the right kept taking to dealer they fixed it and it kept on happening. It started making funny noises under the hood and funny smells came through the vent system. Then the engine check light would keep coming on and I was told "You didn't secure the gas cap tight enough".This continued to happen and I would take it in and they would reset something cause you know they didn't believe me. Something happened to one of the wheels and they wouldn't or couldn't fix it so I said take it back. They sold me a 2000 Daewoo that was all thet had available.Cost a helluva lot more. Had no I mean nada extras.Same problems as 1999 and thensomeNow with Daewoo bankrupt no one will honor warranty or even try to figure out whats wrong with car. At this point I'm looking at replacing engine to the tune of at least 1500.00. The car dealer no longer sells or services any Daewoo. Car stalls in midtraffic without warning. Am looking into Wi lemon law. Do not buy this car!!!

Man this car really blows. I have a good mountain bike and I would rather ride it to work than drive this thing. I actually had a wheel come off the axle and roll down the road, knocking over a USA Today machine. Oh yeah I had to pay for that cause it messed up the machine. Anyway when I turn on the a/c this stank smell drifts into the cabin of the car, making it smell like a 2 week old meatball sub sitting in 90 degree heat. So nobody wants to ride wid me when we go clubbin'. What else, the stick shift broke off in my hand. my window fell out too. get a focus or an echo, bro

Gas mileage. It's a car, not a bicycle.

Weakness:

I think I pretty much already summed those up. Where the hell am I supposed to get parts? And, notice I didn't put a price, I'm embarassed.

piece of crap car. Yeah, it runs, and gets good gas mileage. BUT, where the hell am I supposed to get parts? I ordered some brake pads. I took off the wheel and took all the crap apart, only to find out they gave the wrong brake pads. No one else around here has the right ones. What the hell? A/C is a story I don't even want to get into. O2 sensors, how many have I had to replace?

Strength:

Gas Mileage. Durability, and also the spaciousness of the backseat and trunk.

Weakness:

The brakes are about the only thing that has been a problem. Also, there are not enough dealerships because Daewoo filed bankruptcy.

This is my first car. I'm 19 years old and at first there was alot of negativity about my Daewoo. But, after driving it for myself its not as bad. I have to drive 80 miles to college and 80 miles from and i love my car. It's cute, yet spaceious.
