Decent Gas milage, reliability, roomy drivers seat area,

engine is loud. inadequate person storge compartment between the front seats. The Company just went bankrupt...

For the money this is a terrific car. Had a problem with the brakes squealing right from the start, but when I took it to the dealership, they replaced the front brakes right away. It's been running perfectly ever since. I searched for a car that I couldn't lock myself out of - you have to lock driver side door with your key.

OKAY! I FEEL TERRIBLE NOW. THE TRUTH IS IF YOU ARE A RECLUSE WHO IS ON MORPHINE DRIP AND YOU DRIVE ONCE A YEAR THEN THIS IS A GREAT MODE OF SPACE TRAVEL. I MEAN IF WE COULD GET THE LANOS INTO ORBIT, ALONG WITH THE HUBBLE. NOW WE'RE TALKING!

I HAVE OWNED THE 2002 DAEWOO LANOS SPORT FOR ONE YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS. THE CAR HAS EVERY OPTION: SPORTY LOOKS, SPOILER, LEATHER,CD, MAG WHEELS (OF WHICH ONE FELL OFF AFTER THE BERING SPENT ITSELF AT A WHOPPING 5,000 MILES) AN UNDERPOWERED LAWNMOWER ENGINE THAT GOES NOWHERE / SOUNDS LIKE A LOCOMOTIVE! OH YEAH ! I ALMOST FORGET THE OIL PAN SEAL WENT INTO THERMAL BREAKDOWN AT 6,000 MI.-CAUSING A LOSS OF ALL OIL PRESSURE, THANK GOD IT'S NOT AN AIRPLANE. AND THEN I MUST MENTION THE FACTORY RECALL OF THE DEFECTIVE PASSENGER AIRBAG.....YOU KNOW THE ONE THAT INVOLUNTARILY LIKES TO GO OFF AS PROGRAMMED BY THE DRUNKEN KOREAN ASSEMBLY ROBOT. YEAH THE AIRBAG ALSO WAS MANUFACTURED WITH THE WRONG DENSITY PLASTIC COVER. SO IF THE COVER HITS YOUR FACE I'M TOLD YOU'LL NEED TWELVE YEARS OF FACIAL RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY---IF YOU LIVE? AT 20,000 MI. I NEED A NEW ENGINE!!! GOOD LUCK.

now my car wont even start the cruise stoped working and the abs is messed up and the contracted repair station cant even get us in for a month because they have so many daewoo to fix..what a joke I fell for anyone with this car.

we are a military family and purchased this car for its value. the car is loud inside and is a very rough ride. I so regret being cheap and this is a lesson learned. I am considering turning this car into the bank even if it will effect our credit. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

I am very pleased with the durability of this little sedan. I am a pizza delivery driver, and this car took some of the most harsh driving there is (start and stop) and kept on ticking. I've put about 30k miles on it, and I've just came up on my first moderate expense.

CAN'T GIVE ANY, NOTHING ELSE MATTER WHEN YOU ARE SCARED TO DRIVE IT.

BRAKES FAILED OVER 4 TIME TOOK MORE THAN 1/2 A MILE TO GET IT TO STOP AFTER HITTING THE BRAKES REPEATELY. IN 2 OF THOSE OCCCASIONS I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE OR KILL SOMEONE. GOD WAS WITH ME EACH TIME.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON OVER 6 TIMES. UNABLE TO TRADE IN OR RETURN TO DEALER. TRYING TO GO FOR THE LEMON LAW OR WILL RETURN TO BANK REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CREDIT. TOO SCARED TO DRIVE IT.THEY COULD NEVER DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.

Great rear space, small engine, yet powerful, stability (porsche designed)and torque are adecuate, ergonomic and confortable, good breakes and gas comsumption (except when driving sportively), this car is OK but a would had prefered the shift gear instead of the automatic, but that is me (mi wife loves the automatic). The lanos as any other hatchback offers you the chance to improve your cargo area that will surprise you for sure. The technology and enginering is more than adecuate and the result is a car easy to fix for the self-yourself guy.

The Lanos could use a better sound, and the engine noise is high. Even when the car is economical, the demand of power would certainly impact the gas consumtion making the car on average consumption mediocre for such small engine if its driven as a sports.

With a slim design and an excelent space distribution this small car has good amenities such as (Sports edition), bicolor leather seats, leather on steering wheel and gear shift, ground efect mouldings, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, simulated brushed aluminum cluster panel, cd/cassette player, front and side air bags, the lanos SE makes a good car for people who likes small and gas saving vehicles, but does not want to lose confort (electronic automatic transmission with an overdrive power botton and "kick-down" gas pedal), and power on demand. The Lanos SE is an excelent choice and equals or outperforms other cars in the subcompact korean car segment such as the Kia and the Hyunday, an as well offers you a little more fore your money when talking about accesories and amenities even when compared to a Chevy Cavalier and other compacts on the market.

LOOKS GREAT, HANDLES GOOD, NOT BAD LEG ROOM IN THE BACK WITH A 6'2" PERSON DRIVING, NOT BAD TRUCK SPACE (WITH A PAIR OF 12).

A FEW MINOR NOISES COMING FROM ENGINE, COULD USE A BETTER STERIO, LITTLE BIGGER RUBBERS

THE CAR HAS BEEN GREAT SO FAR. I HAD A FEW RECALLS BUT NO MAJOR PROBLEM WITH IT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR FOR 2YR 2MTHS (65000 KM, 40000 MILES), AS LONG AS YOU GET THE STD AND THE 1.6L (105 HP) ITS GOT SOME PRETTY . GOOD PEP. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS CAR TO ANYBODY LOOKING FOR A CHEAP RELIABLE CAR TO DRIVE

Just very dissatisified with the DAEWOO Dealer ship.Have tried trading in for another car because Daewoo is up inthe air with their bankrupcy ,hard to trade in, dealers not sure of resale

Car was fine till about Jan 2002.Car was stalling so it spent about 3 weeks at a Daewood dealership.Very dis satisified with daewoo as only thing they did was change fuses.Car has run fine till this past week has been stalling again.keep changing fuses something is still burning it out.Having it towed back to Daewoo to get to the bottom of this problem
