Great looks, a good kick from the engine considering thatit's a 2.5L V-6.
Weakness:
Nothing so far, I love owning this car, I haven't changed a thing...well I did add a preformance airfilter, but that's not a weakness... This car is great, I'm a proud owner. During hot summer days, after a nice car wash I love seing everyone turn their heads to watch me pass by. The girls love it, the engine is more than enough to beat or at least keep up with almost all the cars in its class. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a great car at a great price. Avenger ES
Strength:
Great styling and very unique lines. This is the sport coupe that I've been looking for. With the ES package I got an Infinity stereo system, leather, power moon roof, power windows, and locks, ac, cruise and automatic transmission. With the V6 and 17 in. wheels this is a great handling car. Awesome gas mileage and hasn't seen the inside of a shop yet. Mine has 40,000 miles on it and all I've done is oil changes, new tires at 30,000 miles and changed the brakes shortly after. That's it.
Weakness:
It isn't the most powerful car in the world but it does get up and go with a few slight mods. Mine topped out at 120 m.p.h. before the restrictor kicked in. Besides that no complaints. The only people that might have a problem with this car would be a jerk who doesn't really know what a sport coupe is for. Besides that everyone that I know of who owns or has owned an Avenger has loved the car. Similar Products Used: Hondaaaa Civic, Pontiac Grand Am |

This car turns heads! I get looks everywhere I go. Style and comfort for a very low price. Have had to do any major work, except rotors. 60000 miles and only had to spend $350 extra on it. Can't beat that!
Weakness:
Rotors are very weak, this is a major weakness because dodge didn't fix them. Everything else is fine. Remember you pay for what you get, if you want it to ride like a caddy, buy a caddy. If you want it to drive like a viper get a viper. I don't know a car that combines luxury, performance and safety into one ride even half as well as the avenger. Avenger ES
Strength:
great styling, 5 star safety rating, excellent handling and ride, good gas mileage (avg. 28 mpg), comfortable seats and plenty of room inside
Weakness:
stock rotors warp easily (replace with aftermarket), the V6 auto is somewhat underpowered, and the headlight covers (plastic) become opaque after a few years and have to be polished/replaced. I love this car! I have had it for 5 years with no major problems and people still ask me if it's a new car...it is easy to maintain and to modify. Definitely worth what I paid for it, I would recommend the Avenger to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot but wants a sporty, comfortable, ORIGINAL looking car. Strength:
The car has an over-all appeal to it from a distance. The car also has good front end styling. My car also seems to handle well in the snow. My ES V-6 Avenger has comfortable leather seat. Good online network of support.
Weakness:
The car loses its value fast, gas mileage is terrible, there is a lot of "body roll" in turns, the dash looks cheap like it came from Barbie's dream car, and the car basically feels overweight and underpowered I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a combination of luxury and sport, because the Avenger has neither. The Avenger is probably best suited for someone who is in high school, or is looking for a cheaper secondary car. Similar Products Used: I've owned both domestic and import cars. The Avenger loses its overall appeal compared to an import because imports generally last longer and maintain a higher resale value. The avenger is the best Domestic car I've owned because of its seats and convinience of controls. |

Very safe car

No 5 speed with the v6 This is the best car for the money. I've had no major problems in 4+ years of ownership. I like the car so much that I bought another. Similar Products Used: There is no comparison :) |

Strength:
Great styling, handles well, Lots of interior room.
Weakness:
The rotors went bad on me really quick, so I just bought some nice crossdrilled rotors and it's been fine ever since, The power is no Vette or Viper but it gets you were you need to go, at least it has more power then a civic!! And even that can be taken care of with a Turbo kit, which I have and so do some other owners, and that gives you a hella lot more ummmp then you would expect... I recommend this car to anyone who wants something affordable, stylish, and decent on gas, Though that's were a civic MAY shine over the Avenger, but overall I have been happy with my car, it has been graet to me, my probs now are just due to Boost!!! I recomend turbocharging this vehicle by all means!!! Similar Products Used: Talon, Eclipse, Sebring |

Strength:
Car has a very smooth ride, and not much noise at all. Plenty of room in front and back, whereas many coupes don't have much support for people in the rear seat. Very peppy and efficient V6, with plenty of available enhancements for the performance enthusiast. Very sleek design, which still grabs attention. Good gas mileage, especially for a V6.
Weakness:
No 5 Speed Available in the V6. I highly recommend this car. It's a good car to get started with, especially if you don't have a ton of money to dump in a car. Very sleek styling and lots of room and available options make this car a good buy. Similar Products Used: 98 Neon, 97 Mustang V6, Dodge Daytona |

Avenger ES
Strength:
I say most everything. I wish I had green, but I bought it used. I love the looks, Love at sight, then when I got to know it, love ran deeper. Leather seats, wheels (stock), saying it's a V6 and having enough power to prove it, CD/Tape, power all, ABS (my brother's 'Stang doesn't have any), Dual cupholders (need I compare it to the Mustnag again? Yep.).. The power seat that can raise beats the Camaro's seat that doesn't do anything. The gas mileage is good to wonderful (lowest is 21 highest is 30).
Weakness:
Engine should have much more power stock, but unfortunately no. The stock 17" wheels do bend a bit to easily. Lastly, the Front bra mesh area rips in under a second because there is no support (i'm modifying THAT one myself). Yes turning radius is not that good, but neither is the Camaro's or Mustang's. I would reccomend it and buy it again and again. If you do not wnat a car unless it costs much bucks and don't want a car unless it has 0-60 in under 4 seconds, don't buy it. ES V6
Strength:
Style, handling, decent power, great safety, and comfort. The Avenger is a all around great car. The premium stock stereo system is one of the best Ive heard out doing even the best stock BOSE systems out there. Dodge did exactly what their intentions were when they set out to develop the Avenger. They wanted decent power, safety, looks, handling.... Dodge hit the nail on the head when they built it. Dodge could have made it a little more powerfull to match its looks but that wasnt their intentions from the beginning... so for someone looking for a car that has a little bit of everything in it... then the Dodge Avenger is a must.
Weakness:
Rotors. V6 Tranny is weak when it isnt properly taken care of... such as frequent fluid changes and an occasional filter change for the tranny. It could have used window frames as the windows become loose after a while... they can be re-tightened but its kind of a hasle. All in all its a great car if your looking for a diverse car in all features. If your looking for something fast to begin with then this isnt the car for you, although there are PLENTY of speed upgrades for the 4cyl such as turbo an TONS of other add ons. The V6 has a few available aftermarket upgrades but not as many as promissing as the 4 cyl. One of the main reasons I bought mine was because its 5 star crash rating (top ten safest) and you CANNOT beat the looks.... add rims and lowering springs and youve got a showstopper!
