Strength:
Good handling, can outrun all stock civics only with 92 hp stock hahaha.This car NEVER brakes,even when trying.Good gas milage.
Weakness:
No torque! No acceleration from the line. What do u expect its 1.8L 92hp. This car is a great first car. I bought it brand new in 93. It hasnt even broken once! Just changed tires and the timing belt at 60k and keep changing that oil every 3k and you will love this car. All though it lacks in acceleration it makes up in the gas milage, I can drive forever on one tank of gas. Can`t wait till i get my Eclpise GST! You will be able to outrun any civic out there DX,EX,CRX i dont know about the Si but with an intake and exhaust possibly. I recommand spending that extra few dollars and getting a turbo version.Than you can kill anything on the road!GSTs and GSXs are mean!!!!! Fast, nice handling, great looks
Weakness:
Small back seat but thats to be expected. Headlights are a bit dim but they are cheap to replace. I love my car. I would definately recommend this car. I have had no problems with it. It's nice to look at..something different unlike those dime a dozen Hondas. Surprisingly fast for a 4 cylinder..doesn't lag with AC or heat on like my old 4 cyl did. Handles great around turns. Body style is great looking. The manual transmission is wonderful! The stereo is well placed.
Weakness:
When passing it's hard to see other cars. Seatbelt digs in your neck. The cup holders are ill placed. When shifting your arm tends to bump into your beverage. Love it! I get a lot of compliments on the car! The inside is very spacious. Similar Products Used: Toyota Celica GT. Pretty similar. |

looks great sounds great (nice purr) comfy (if your not in the back) everything is in easy reach feels like a cockpit. and boy do the ladies like these things or what!
Weakness:
no back seat :( i love mine, great factory sound system (although i'm stripping it and putting in a compitition system) great gas milage around 30mpg auto stick is a nice feture although not a must have. i highly recommend it. and i love the 2000 body style Similar Products Used: celica, |

costly repairs bought it for $12,000, spent over $6,000 in repairs. At 55,000 miles, the transmission needed to be replaced. At 79,000 miles, major engine damage occured because of a failing ball bearing in the pulley. had to replace valves, timing belt which cost another $2500. Brakes have to be replaced nearly every year. Check engine light flashes nearly every other month. this car has been a nightmare. Similar Products Used: '96 Nissan Maxima. No comparison. The Maxima is infinitely better. |

Strength:
Very Fast Off the line when launching with all wheel drive and Has Perfect handling for High speeds. But i heard that rear wheel drive is actually better cause The rear is pushing you from behind and using all that strengh and power.
Weakness:

This car's fun to drive an screams for the open road. The 2001 Spyder with the V6 engine has some major getty-up-and-go. I don't know anyone who has driven one of these vehicles who didn't wanna purchase one right away.
Weakness:
However, the new 2001 Eclipse doesn't corner very well...and can be a little boxy for anyone over 6 feet tall. The back seat of the coupe is an absolute joke and looks more like a shelf than a bench seat and a real pain getting out of. I've been very pleased since the purchase of my car and couldn't be happier. It's sporty, refined, and gets me where I'm going in a split second. Mitsubishi really put some thought into the re-modeling of their automobiles for the new millinium. I'd give the Mitsubishi Eclipse GS a 4 out of 5 stars - this car is ready for any type of driver Similar Products Used: Compared to the BMW Z-3 and the loaded out Mazda Miata I've gotta say that the Eclipse gives you more for your money. |

I love this car and everything about it. Its super quick especially for a 4 banger. Nice all wheel drive feature but youll never get to show off and rip up those tires... Nice shifter, great handling. Its kinda neat that it revs at 9000rpm. What else is there to say? Ive never had a problem yet with the car.
Weakness:
Well the premium gas is a *****. back seat couldve had more leg room. If you can find one of these. BUY IT, its worth every penny especially how you can buy a million mods for it. Similar Products Used: eagle talon. Its the same car... hahaha |
