Everything! Comfortable, great handling, reliable, good looking, etc.
Weakness:
Poor handling in rain - however, I just slow down. I agree, it could use a cup holder. Also, the rearview mirror seems to vibrate giving a not-to-clear rear view. Not absolutely certain since I only tried this twice (years ago), but it seems to take itself out of gear at 112 mph?? Bought the car new for about $18,000 - don't remember exactly. It has been a great car. Would buy another Nissan in a minute. Car now reads 190,000 miles; however, the odometer only works intermittently now, so for about the past 50,000 miles it has only registered about half the miles actually driven, so it definitely has over 200,000. I replaced the transmission about a year ago, at 180,000 after rear-ending someone in rush hour traffic. Having some problems now with rough idling but I don't think I can complain given that I have had the car for nearly 10 years and hardly ever put anything into it beyond maintenance. Have replaced spark plug wires a couple of times. It has just recently started to "use oil." Absolutely no complaints here. Plan to drive it until it dies. Would recommend to anyone who does most of their driving alone or with one other person. Great car for commuting. I've driven it 30 miles each way to work since the day I bought it. I also drive it to SC (approx 600 mi) 3 to 4 times a year. Great car for trips for one or two people. My husband, however, is 6'4" and he doesn't find it as comfortable as I do. This car is the best looking 90's car with projector lights that I have ever seen in its class. It is perfect for people who wants to make it high performance and go auto-crossing with. Lovely rear-wheel drive suspension. Nice stock and good in speed also. Crazy 160lbs of Torque, lovely for a Japanese car. Loved this car ever since 15 years old, finally got one =).
Weakness:
One of the slower cars in its class compared to Prelude SH, Integra GSR, Mazda MX-6 V6,& Mustang V-6. It has 2400c.c. which is kind of a big displacement for 155HP. This car has to be performance upgraded to be perfect. Engine kinda sucks, because turbo can put out only 5Psi compared to the Japanese 2.0L-Turbo(uses the Sentra engine)240SX/Silvia which can easily put out 15psi. The US engine has to be ported to do so. Paid $14000 for a 1998 240SX-SE @ 20000 miles, planning to upgrade everything with japanese performance parts, will cost a total value of additional $15000. The car will be 320HP using the same 2.4L engine turbochaged. Will keep this car for maybe 20-30 years, may keep as vintage. Similar Products Used: 1993 240SX-SE - Performance is not as fast, maybe because my older carwas.... OLD..! Handling is not as good neither. Loved the old one though. |

Beautiful styling, outside and inside. good enough engine power for the money. its japanese (never breaks)
Weakness:
ahhh the AC is like towing a trailer, its a BIG lag. be weary of a timing chain problem for the SOHC's. check out http://240sx.org for ALL info. Hah, i paid 2100 for it, and it was perfect. i dont know what the seller was thinking. well anyway, YES i would definately recomment it. its a GREAT car, and after months of intense research, this car has the best ratios of power, price, looks, nonunion styling, and overall greatness. keep in mind this is no camaro, if you want 0-60 in 5 seconds, this isnt it. but itll satisfy you nonetheless. BUY IT. and enough comments about the seats!!! my god, i love my seats, and even the back is COMFORTABLE, however small it may be. and why all the complaints about the smallness anyway? i mean you knew it wasnt meant for more than 2. (they only added the back seat to save insurance, that was the whole point of the car, affordable handling!!) if youre looking for a good, powerful enough, car thatll get you to where you need to go in style, comfort, and still satisfy the rev happy soul, this is for you. but i would by no means recommend it to a growing family. Stick to the Toyotas for that job. Similar Products Used: 1995 Corolla, 1998 Camry |

this car has plenty of power for someone new to rear wheel drive cars. but once you get used to the concept of power sliding around corners its alot offun to drive. the car never seems to break it has handled everything i have thrown at it. and trust me i have thrown alot at it. as for you ppl complaining about the back seat im an 18 year old male and i found if you get the hatchback all you have to do is fold down the seats and there is more then enough room for fun back there :o)
Weakness:
the only weakness i have found is that there is no cup holder. i bought mine for 4000 dollers of an old man who loved it. i would recomend it to anyone who cant afford a sportscar with a bigger engine.....if you want a 4 cylinder with some power then this is it Similar Products Used: None |

I have owned my 1991 240 for 10 years (bought new) and love it's reliability and handling. I have always kept up with routine maintenance (has 130K miles) and replaced the original A/C after 9 years!!
Weakness:
Automatic shoulder seat belts bother me at times..do not always fall in place properly. Radio Antenna does not work properly but could be repaired. Definitely not a car to drive if you live in a "snow" climate. Rear wheel drive cannot handle it. I did a slow 360 on an overpass several years ago between two cars and was fortunate not to hit the bridge or another car. I wish nissan would market a modern version of this car..I would purchase it if the $$ range stayed between $17,000- $20,000. Similar Products Used: I have not had another similar product |

Looks great, drives great & I can fit 2 bikes inside with ease. Comes with very good quality parts, especially the manual transmission. Suspension is still OK after 115kmiles. Didn't have any repairs over $200 so far. It just runs.
Weakness:
No Airbag. The seats are really rubbish, offers ashtray but no cup holders, front speakers broken, sunroof seal is bent and makes noise. $2-Shell carwash always bends back plate (really), so I take it off in case I go there. Paid $4,000. Not a family car. I'd recommend it if you do not plan to drive people around. It's rather something for daily use than a full-fledged sportscar, but it makes an excellent compromise. I abosolutely love the looks of the car and the looks I get about the car. Handling is marvellous in dry, wet with the proper tires is also very good - a good set of Eagle GTs. I am the only owner, with a little over a 100,000 miles and have experienced no problems. Love the car !!
Weakness:
As everyone has said before me the back seat. I have been able to fit 6 into it for a short ride on a residential street (not recommended). Another weakness is the govenor - tons of room under the foot when the governor kicks in. Since this car was the last of this body style with the heads up display leather interior, five speed power everything and no after market stuff except under the hood, this car has definitely sold me on Nissan products. I've also owned a Chev, Subaru and VW. Similar Products Used: tested an Acura Accord - too expensive |

The styling is unbelievable even though its 8 years old. The rear wheel drive is the most enjoyable thing to drive, especially in corners. Did I say i love doing power slides.
Weakness:
It needs a lot more power in the upper range. It gets a bit sluggish espically in 2nd gear. When i raced the new civic si I litteraly whooped the civic in 1 st gear like by 3 car lengths and when it hit second gear the civic took me out cuz of the stupid v tech. Paid 6 g's for it. Yes I would recommend it if you want something different and something to modify on. Great looks espically with 18 inch rims. Similar Products Used: Nissan Sentra, Pathfinder, Civic |

A real sports car! Handling is great, a powerful engine. Here in Germany it's called 200 SX and has a 200 hp turbo engine - wow! On German autobahn (highway) it is really funny to drive with it - 235 km/h (how many miles/h is it?). Great style, very elegant Gran Turismo.
Weakness:
Airbag control out of function since 2 months. One window motor out of function since 1 month. I can only say: Buy it, you will miss something if you do not do it... Similar Products Used: Nissan 100 NX |
