Good Handling, Classic Sports Car Looks, Rear-Wheel drive dynamics, Excellent reliability.

Lack of power due to Nissan North America to put in a truck engine in these cars. Everywhere around the world, they get a 200+ hp motor. Elsewhere these cars are known as Silvias, 180sx &, 200sx (not the sentra based one). These cars kick ass. Will even outperform big brother 300zx.

If Nissan would have been smart, this car would have been an immediate success like the original 240z cars but nooo...they gave it a truck motor beginning with S13. In the S14, they also softened the suspension for the "older generation". What a shame. It's also amazing that they are putting all this resources on the new Z when they have a great car under its nose for a bargain price. In Japan, the newest generation is S15 and has 250+ HP and they still wouldn't bring it over to the states. Mind u that if converted to US dollars this car will beat anything for that price. It's also interesting to note that the suspension was nearly identical to Z cars so u r really getting is a lighter, faster (with the correct engine) Z car. In fact the prototype new Z is reportedly from 240sx parts! I don't see, Nissan's obvious marketing flaws. Bring the 240sx back but this time with the real motor. Also, bring back the hatch versions since they obviously sold more of these at the time. But such advise falls on deaf ears.

good looks(with a spoiler)... sounds real cool 'round 5grand.... and this thing can pulls some G's! im real impressed with the lateral acceleration this car's capable of(with some decent tires; i' got a set of H rated dunlops)...oh.. and my car's also got this neeto sorta halogram speedometer thing on the windsheild

ppl lookin to go real fast might be disapointed with the 240sx's 109mph govener..even without't wouldn't get much more out of it because of the low gearing(70mph@3100rpm.in top gear). ..the antena's break real easy too... and i guess the back seat Is small ..but ..um... ITs A SPORTs CAR..

..but i wanna supe it up a little with maybee a new exaust sytem err... somethin' .. email me if you have any suggestions

Drives good, gets good gas mileage,runs great.

I think it's a pretty reliable car.

This car looks great and rides well, it also has sufficient horse power.

Weakness, I dont know were to start. I have had this car in the shop at least twice a year since i bought it. Power window motor went out, electrical engine problems (twice), interior is comming apart (and not from abuse), oil leak, rattle noises, the car hydroplanes in low water, does not handle well on wet surfaces, need i go on. this car has been a great disapointment. No room in the back seat.

I would not recommend this car to anyone who does not want to spend there time driving to and from a repair facility. The maintenance on this car seems extremely high. Before gettting this car consider a two seater. There is no room in the back for an adult to ride compfortably. This will probably be my first and last Nission product.

quick,responsive,fun,classic sport car, basic interior...i have hatch back with fold-down back seat-great for camping w/ hatch open which(one reason i bought it). i've used it like a suv and have hauled alot of stuff in it. i love it. planned on having it until 300,000 mi.s but ran a red light and was hit. other than that i've had no problems with it. amazing!

seats are somewhat uncomfortable on long trips, no lumbar support. stereo is mediocre at best and i've had electrical problems. hydroplanes easily...watch it on wet roads. crunch factor...it dents and bends and smashes easily=high insurance factor.

i love the 240sx and recommend it. drive one and you'll understand.

Acceleration is great, I can take off from stopsigns and lights outrunning anyone who tries to get in my way. The 5-speed transmission is much easier and smoother to shift than others I've driven. The engine is running perfectly, even with 130k miles on it. The suspension is wonderful, and I can comfortably corner on rural roads at above 90mph. I have had no real problems with the car, besides a slipping clutch, but that was easily repaired with a few minutes spent crouched under the dashboard.

The only things I dislike at this point are the lack of power door locks/windows, not having a rear wiper for the hatch, and a little bit of rust under the seal around the edge of the window. Also, a spoiler would be nice, but I'm working on that. ;)

My experience has been wonderful. Since I purchased the car, I've had no mechanical problems at all. The most work I've had to do on the car to fix a problem was to adjust my clutch. It starts every time without any a hiccup, and drives wonderfully. There is a bit of hesitation for a moment during acceleration in second gear sometimes, but I'm looking for the cause of that. Otherwise, it handles wonderfully, it feels very powerful, and it's a fun car. I intend to keep it for a long time!

I think this car would be a good car for someone who would appreciate it. I admit that I am not always thinking of what's under the hood, but I don't consider it just a car to drive back and forth to work and school. If you want a car just for transportation, buy a sedan or something.

I'm 18, this is my first car and i love it. Not only does it look brand new, but it handle's like a dream. I've burned soo many civic's and integra's with it. It's nice and low, flies from a stand still, and gets great gas mileage. The engine in smooth and silent. The Interior is styling and comfertable with a great dash set up.

no room in the back seat, but it's not my problem i'm the one driving. The only real bad thing is that it seem to dent easaly, i havent put any nick's on mine, but before i bought this one, other's that i looked at were dented really easaly.

All in all this car rocks. it's quik, it turns on a dime, and looks like it's worth 4 times as much. Very low mantanence, but if anything does go wrong it can be pricey. and best of all, you can soop it up easaly and without spending a fortune.
