Strength:

Smoth tight drive train. Great handling-even after 80K. I dont think these cars have ever looked out-of style. Still looks like something they just designed. This is my second, and the convert look is awesome!

Weakness:

A little bit of rattle and less body integr due to chopping the top.
Like the celica it was converted after building

For the money with respect to a celica-you get as much if not more quality, for 2/3 the price. Superior to eclipse, probe, etc. I wish they still made them.

Ive had a little of everything - and the 240-rear wheel drive, big 4 Cyl, super handling. Its myn favorite. Ive has Miata-Great / 240Z / 280Z / 90 240 / and celica

Strength:

Quik take-off, descent top-end, 5 speed, GREAT handeling, looks good, very good power distribution for a 4-banger.

Weakness:

NO back seat! Can't burn out like my TA, and it's 4x6 speaker housings (MUST HAVE BASS)!

I've had a Blazer with a 350 in it, an '88 Camaro RS, and a '97 Tacoma, and I have the 240, a '96 Trans AM, and a '89 F150. The 240 is, and probably always will be my fav one to zip thru curvy back roads or soar down an open highway. I recomend it to anyone who loves a car they can have fun with.

I have dominated everything from a '98 S10 with a 4.6L to a 95 Civic. They just cna't hang. Everyone thinks that a 240 won't keep up.

Strength:

Good looking car, fast, good MPG, relaible, cheap to maintain, tough mechanical(trough bad roads and weather condition), nice interior(today, after 12 years, inside looks better then many new cars!), high quality interior materials, very good fit and finish, rear well drive(like BMW, Mercedes), good responding at acceleration, rear disc brakes, good braking distance, AC works perfect today, after 12 years' big trunk(for this car).
It is fun to drive, sport car feeling is strong, dash board is cool, stick shift is nice. Doesn't show it's age, good resale value.

Weakness:

The ride is tough, you feel any small crack in the road, not to much smoothnes, hard to fit a tall guy inside, rear sits almost useless, too much wind noise, road noise, engine noise surprisig loud inside, to long time between the gears(stick shift)wen shofting.

I haves a 89 240, with 90.000 miles on it. I love it.
Engine is a 4 cyl, but plenty of power, almost as a V6.
It has a superb handling on highway, but to much RPM and engine noise on freeway, at over 70 mph. It is 12 years old, but nobody belive it. It's shaking my kidnys, on every hole on road, but if the road is fine, is a beauty.
MPG is good, but is hard in LA trafic with the stick shift. You can buy automatic, but this is not what the car is made it!! Is a real sport car, with rear weel drive, powerful and fast.
Inside is cool, fit and finish is great, central console is coming from dash board, is sporty, and nothing looks cheap. Is practicly no leg room in the back, wich make this 240SX more like 2 sits car.
To maintain, this car is extremely cheap, is just great!
This car is MUCH better then: Mitsubishi Eclipse, Honda Prelude, Toyota Cellica, so is no bad!

I belive is a very good car, is worth every penny. I'm sure out there are greater cars, but much expensiver. To beat 240SX, you have to jump on germans cars, but you know the price...

Strength:

The overall look, interior and exterior. The power and potential for speed. Drives its best over 70. You feel like it wants you to slam on the gas when you are driving below that. Good gas mileage. Great handling. Great acceleration from stop. It's always fun to be a t a red light, and then leave everyone to get smaller in your rear view mirror as you fly forward....

Weakness:

The only weakness with this car, is the handling in snow and ice. Funnily enough, it is great in rainy conditions, but in snow and ice, it is very difficult to drive.
Other than that the car is perfect.

Mine's a 1990 with 96000 miles on it. It runs extremely well, has so much power it is hard to believe it is only a 4 cyl. I have driven v-6 cars that feel much weaker. It looks awesome, and people turn heads when you drive down the road. Interior is awesome, with the dash setup being the best. The heads up speedometer display is great. to have it for many years It has great gas mileage too.
This car is for anyone who appreciates the benefits of owning and proudly displaying an awesome sports car which gives so much more than you had to pay for it. If you wanna turn heads on the road, buy one. If you wanna be ordinary, don't.

Strength:

Fast off the line and at top speeds.

Weakness:

Hard to drive in the snow.

This car is fantastic. It is a very fun and reliable car to drive, it gets great gas mileage and is very fast for a 4-cylinder. I have raced it multiple times, beating almost every car Ive raced, including Mustangs, Cavalier Z24's and a Trans Am. It handles very well, and once u hit 100 u get an extra kick from it sending you to even higher speeds.

Good Looks!! I pull up to a red light and everytime the people around have to check out my car and the GIRLS !!!!!!!

Weakness:

the doors and windows rattles

awesome car!!! There is nothing like it at all unless you spend 40,000 on a M3. I get more looks then my friends 2000 prelude and he has it all done up too. I have to find all the rattles in my doors and fix the problem with the windows, they both rattle. But even with the rattles, it lets me know how fast I am going when I am racing. There is nothing like it, other then SEX !!

Strength:

engine, smoothness and cheapness to get a car that can be built, you can buy the car cheap to allow for the real money on making it your own.

Weakness:

had to buy a 92 sentra to drive in the winter. the real wheel just wasnt cutting it in ice and slush. i wouldve killed myself.

Amazing car. Best you can do for the money, and the body has round smooth flow to it that will never make it look old like the old boxy sports cars of the early 90s. Mine is 11 years old and still gets more looks than any of my friends honda's and ac's. Ran the original engine to 180k, then decided to spoil it and i splurged on an 84 300zx turbo engine and had to redo motormounts and was forced to put on scooped hood to allow for the fit. Has never rusted at all, about a year ago had entire body pulled and fixed replaced 2 panels put on body kit, shaved moldings, door handles, modified tailights into integra altezzas and painted lime green. I suppose you could say it stands out a bit.

My friend just put a dhoc motor in his honda civic and says I think I can beat tony now. my friends mom (who is hot) says I got it going on, but its kinda hard to find aftermarket parts for it. if any can help me out with my search let my know.

Strength:

perfect handling, good power especially for a 4 cyl., great looking, smooth ride, fun to drive.

Weakness:

No Turbo! Whose idea was this? Being lowered 1 or 2 inches wouldn't hurt.

Best handling rwd i've ever drove. not too bad on power either. feels very light, quick response, balanced very well. just can't say enough about handling. 30 or 40 more hp is the only change I would make. Perfect for the person who wants to drive a very fast car without the poor gas mileage of a v8.

Similar Products Used:

ford mustang v6: 240 is definitely faster, especially cornering.
