Strength:
honda reliability. great gas mileage. good speed for a non-vtec. rare car. most people around here drive eclipses, civics, and celicas, so you stand out. all of my friends love it especially since the wheel upgrade.
Weakness:
honda stopped making them. honda wheelwell rust. not vtec. not much room but duh... it's a sports car. i don't have money for upgrades. The 95 si isn't a bad car for the money. Sure, it isn't a rocket ship but it has enough speed to still have fun. there is a good amount of aftermarket upgrades for it, but there are more for the vtec, which by the way i recommend if you have the extra cash. when i bought it i was going to do a lot of upgading with an intake, headers, and an engine swap, but i became a dad so money is tight. the most impressive aspect of ther car is it's overall quality. the stock suspention coupled with the konig 17s and sumitomo tires inspire boatloads of confidence and performs 100 times better than my wife's civic. I love the interior. nothing has broken inside since i have had it except the mechanism that holds the cover to the cupholder closed. Oh yeah, the cd player died a few weeks ago. no big deal, i got a decent pioneer for $160. the biggest problem with hondas is the rust!! just look at almost any accord, civic, or prelude that's more than 5 or 6 years old. chances are there will be rust on one of the rear wheelwells. if you buy an older honda be careful. some dealers like the one i dealt with will do a half assed job covering it up. then in 5 months or so when the warrantee runs out.. poof, there's rust. also gas milage is a plus. when premium was $1.40 a gallon i was getting about 450 miles 0n $20. this is pretty impressive since i'm not exactly easy on the throttle. yeah a stock mustang, camaro, or grand prix might embarrass you off of the line, but they probably know the service guy at their dealership on a first name basis. (think i'm kidding, look at the pontiac grand prix reviews on this site for proof.) all i've put into this car in 2 years is the 60,000 mile tune-up, front brakes, gas, oil, and a muffler. not bad for a 7 year old car! Strength:
Fast acceleration. Rapid steering response. Trouble-free operation. Comfortable cloth bucket seats.
Weakness:
Gas tank too small on the '94 model. Wheel allignment problem. I have driven my Nissan Altima over 142,000 miles in the eight years I've owned it. There was not a single mechanical repair that was needed before 140,000 miles. The car is getting a little aged now and a couple of problems have come up -- one with the air bag and another with a broken automatic antenna. The engine is still in great shape. There is only one bad thing I can say about the Nissan I bought: it was hard on tires. It may have been that my car was slightly misaligned. No one could find the problem, but the car went through far too many tires. Similar Products Used: Chevrolet, Ford, and Dodge vehicles |

Strength:
Powerful engine. Affordable price.
Weakness:
Very unreliable. Just about everything that could break did. Very costly to repair. Bought car in 1998. Seemed like a good deal at the time. Also purchased extended warranty because I was unsure about the reliability of a used car. Over the years that I owne the car, not a year went by without something breaking. Replaced just about everything except the AC. The extended warranty was not worth it as each time we took it in I had to pay something out of pocket. Once the warranty was up I figured we had replaced everything that could break. Then the radiator broke. I traded it in without repairing the radiator. Would be hesitant to buy Nissan again. |

Strength:
this i my first V6.....and boy am i geeked and roomy as heck, i have 3 kids 2 in a booster seat, 1 in an infant car seat and everybody fits fine and comfortably in between.( i thought i would have to get a ford expedition to be satisfied w/ room) besides i think i paid a real good price for it - everything but leather- yes even the bose system -compared to what i''ve heard and heck i got in a manual (do you know how hard it was to find that here in the midwest!)
Weakness:
i had to send my other altima to car heaven RIP in to my 1997 altima gxe. i got into a car wreck with that one and i figured i loved it sooo much i''ll just replace it with a brand new one. this time i got a manual and now i got power.... and boy do i pay for it big time at the pump($1.44 a gallon for premium+20 galloon tank equals to about 30 bucks) Similar Products Used: 1993 nissan sentra, 1989 honda crx, 1995 honda accord lx, 1997 nissan altima, 1989 buick ...something( i don''t remember0 |

Strength:
Power (you don''t have to worry about praying when trying to merge on highways), styling, so many compartments to hold things, foreign car reliabilty, huge trunk and great headroom even with a sunroof.
Weakness:
These are some minor things I''ve noticed. The interior is similar in styling with Toyota and Honda in terms of its very plain look. There is not a coin holder anywhere in the car and the fuel cap can be difficult to get off. The V6 requires premium fuel; however, thats the trade-off with power. I love this car. Its a great mixture of a 4 door family sedan yet it has the power to beat cars off the line. Its funny I wasn''t searching for a new car but was drawn to the Altima''s styling. I took a test drive of both the 4 and the 6 and was sold on the 6. Years ago I had a camara which had great speeed but was totally unrealiable. I then had a mazda 626 which was reliable but had no power. This car is the perfect mixture of the 2. Similar Products Used: 97 Mazda 626 2.0 89 Chevy Camaro RS 5.0 |

Nissan Altima 2.5S
Strength:
Body styling & the standard features. I really suggest getting the comfort & convenience package if you don''t plan on getting after market rims. This car is also very roomy.
Weakness:
There are lots of little things that annoy the crap out of me with the new 2002 Altima, some big, some small. For starters, there was a terrible rattling that came from the dome light area. It was so bad the tech at the dealership said it was very annoying. This was finally fixed (for the most part). There is also a clicking sound everytime I come to a complete stop, which I''ve grown used to. Although the car is listed at 175-180 horse power, this car is soo heavy that my prior Altima was much more peppier. Although Nissan/Infinity has improved body styling by leaps & bounds, the overall quality of Nissans show the crappy Renault influence. I really love the body styling of this new Altima. However the only reason why I have this car is that my 2000 Altima GXE was a lemon & the dealer worked to buy back my car & put me into this one. The dealership that I went thru was fantastic for getting this done! The problem I had with my 2000 Altima was with the car not starting & the front windows slipping whenever they were halfway down. I will never buy another Nissan again. I really think since Renault took Nissan over, the quality of Nissan cars has gone downhill. I did take the V6 for a test ride. If you can afford to, get that instead of the 4. Similar Products Used: 2002 Honda Accord. |

Other than replacing a few belts and new brakes, this has been a great car for me. The interior is good quality - as with anything, if you treat it rough, it will get roughed up. The cockpit area is all easy to get at, though it seems to be more of a woman''s car than a man''s. Backseat has plenty of room, nice trunk space.
Weakness:
I have yet to find any bad sides - or speak to anyone who has. Okay... the glove box is a little small. I have found this car to be an excellent vehicle. Great acceleration, handling in heavy traffic, and looks (the spoiler helps in that dept). I bought it used and the previous owner took great care of it. I have 82,000 miles on it and it still runs like new. Has a lot of pep! Similar Products Used: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord - not as plush, but who needs plush? |

Looks, power and gas milage for a 4 cyl., dependability, price
Weakness:
Don''t like the e-brake placement. If you have the drivers seat back the whole way, you end up with your right leg resting on the brake lever I love this vehicle. I have only had it in the shop once for warranty work in 25k miles for 2 minor issues. It gets decent gas milage, but still has good power for a 4 cyl engine. I really like the standard feature list for Nissan vs the competition and would stack the reliability against any manufacturer. All this for a couple thousand less than a Honda or Toyota Similar Products Used: 92 sentra 87 escort |
