Strength:

strong engine for 1.6, handling is great at speeds above 90 compared to 2002 accord, which was really unpleasant at a speed like that. i almost lost the handling on the accord, sentra deals great with it. it's pretty decent for a tall driver, me myself being 6'7 and it was a surprize when i could comfortably fit there and drive. although the back seat would not be for u in this case

Weakness:

seats could be better, more laterrall support is needed, when the a/c is on all the power is gone and u really need to push it to go with the traffic even.

overall a great buy for the money, nice features, expecially on the GLE model.

Strength:

165hp, 16" alloy wheel, auto trans, ROCKFORD 300W 9 SPEAKER SYSTEM!

Weakness:

Ugly rear design, does not have rear spoiler.

**the price 27000 is in canadian** Ok this car rocks. I used to own a 1993 Sentra SE-R and it is so durable! I never change any parts in that car! So now this 2002 SE-R has 165hp and its not too bad at all! The engine is quite powerful, and the handling it smooth and responsive. However, even though the front of the car is pretty, the back is not. It is damn ugly. Why did Nissan not change the back design? The back is too rounded and that does not fit the car...

Strength:

Gas mileage 45 miles per gallon on highway. Reliable. NISSAN SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. (even better than Honda)

Weakness:

Not much room in back seat

I purchased this car after owning a dodge caravan for 3 yrs. What a pleasure it was to deal with a Nissan dealer after dealing with chrysler. This car is a pleasure to drive, 50k Km and zero problems.

Model Reviewed: SER SpecV

Strength:

2.5liter 175hp, 180lb-ft torque. Easy to peel out in seccond gear. Great Seats, nice sporty interior good handling. Rockford Audio system (option) is one of the best in this class of cars. Fun and Fast. Six Speed. FOur doors and it slides right by cops..

Weakness:

The rear end isnt changed much from the normal sentra. Gearbox is a little rubbery at first. Torque steer is rough when taking off hard. Name gets repetitive when constantly being asked what kind of car it is...

I have had this car for a weak and I like it a little more everytime I drive it. The specV (and regular SER) look really nice. The front end is way better than the normal sentra, the rims and tires on the specV are awosome as well. Overall it is a great sport package for the sentra.

Test drove the Ford SVT focus, VW GTI 1.8T, and the Celica GTS...but I fell in love with the SER SpecV.

Strength:

Great gas mileage, comfortable front seats, nice stereo, improved exterior appearances (as compared to older models), good get-up-and-go, a hell of a car for the price

Weakness:

Visors kind of flimsy, rear seats are cramped(oh, well, I''ll never be in them!)

I looked for months to find the best price on an 02 Sentra GXE, and just happened to come across someone selling this car with only 500 miles on it. I LOVE THIS CAR. It has sunroof (something I was disappointed didn''t come as an option in the 2002''s), rear spoiler, alloys, leather steering and shift knob, etc...I had never driven a 5 speed before, and this car was so easy to learn on! It took me maybe 3 days and I was pretty comfortable driving it. I highly recommend this car..it''s like a mini-Maxima in looks, its cheap to buy and maintain, and gets great gas mileage.

Model Reviewed: SE-R Spec V

Strength:

Lot of torque and power. 6 speed transmission. Limited slip differential. Skyline style interior

Weakness:

I wish the numbering on the speedometer and the tachometer were straight.

I looked around at 2002 Celica GTS, 2002 Lexus IS 300, and Acura RSX. Too expensive. The SE-R Spec V is best value for the money. I mean, which of these cars above come with a 6 speed transmission, 0-60 in 7 seconds, LSD, the nice looking interior, 9 speeker sound system, and a sunroof. And please don''t tell me the celica comes with a 6 speed, because it doesn''t have the LSD and some other stuff.

Strength:

Quiet, nice-looking interior

Weakness:

After three days the bumper started falling off, Nissan doesn''t want to fix it - they say "go to your insurance company". Slow, bad shifts, mirrors don''t fold.

A decent car. The inside parts are the same with Civic. Looks OK, but pregnant to me. The handling is mediocre - body roll, poor cornering, quiet and soft - feels larger than Taurus. I don''t understand why people say it''s a powerful car - with 1.6 engine and automatic you have to really press on it to make it go. Transmission shifts jerkily. We also own 1991 Nissan Sentra - there''s absolutely no difference driving them, except the new one is very quiet.

EXCELLENT, RELIABLE, EASY TO DRIVE. A VERY DEPENDABLE FAMILY CAR. I LOVE THE HATCHBACK OPTION WHEN THE BACK SEATS ARE FOLDED DOWN. HAVE LOOKED INTO BUYING A NEW CAR BUT WITH THIS CAR PUSHING 90+k MILES IT IS STILL GOING STRONG. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS CAR IS WORTH MAINTAINING. IT BEATS BUYING A NEW CAR--AND WHEN I DO IT WILL BE A 2002 SENTRA!

Strength:

Very powerful for a 2.5. Front end looks great. Love the embroidered floor mats. Seats are supportive. Has a lot of nice amenities that come stock (Keyless entry, power windows, locks etc.). Stock rims are nice (even the 16''s).

Weakness:

I feel that they really messed up when designing the tail end of this car. With a front end that looks so mean, the rear seems to be to rounded and appears droopy. Needs aftermarket support.

Overall a very good car for the money. It surprised me with the amount of torque that it put out. I would have rather had the 6 speed, but couldn''t convince the wife.
