Strength:

Reliability and durability. I seriously never, ever have to worry about any problems with it. Still doesn''t look aged, even if 9 years old.

Weakness:

Tinny panel work. Spare tire access can be quite tight if you have a towbar fitted.

This car cannot die. I don''t actually own this Sentra (stn. wagon), it''s a company service vehicle, although I use it exclusively for anything and everything. It has nearly 250,000 kMs on the clock and still drives like it''s only done 50,000. I have had it 3 years and done probably 130,000 in it. It may take around 3 to 10 seconds to start, with a light press on the gas, but it''s never ever failed. I even drove it for 20,000kM overdue for an oil change. Top speed on the flat is about 155 kM/H, and it''s not really sluggish in getting there. OK, it''s pretty conservative and not an attention grabber at all, but it does what it does with not a single grumble. You may never need to do a thing to it, just change the oil and the tires. And by tires, I mean mostly the front ones because the car is obviously light in the front end and the tires sometimes spin when moving from standstill int the wet, and even in the dry if you floor it. Practical, no-frills, maintenance free. I might buy it off these guys when I leave if they offer it for a fair price. It''s probably the most hassle free car they''ve ever had.

Very strong mid-range. Reliability. Price. Stealth.

Weakness:

hard to keep-up with corrosion on door hinges as well as gasket sealant failure around lights, flooding the trunk.

Extremely reliable vehicle! Lazy at normal driving but surprises you above 5000 rpm. Lotsa aftermarket parts.

Strength:

Entire drive train is the best. Power is exceptional, handling outstanding! Breaks strong, cheap to maintain. Doesn''t burn oil or smoke, gets 400 miles to the tank of gas on the freeway.

Weakness:

Clutch cable fussy to adjust, fit and finish of body (trunk lid gap not even), paint fades even with proper attention, cassette deck starting to wear out.

I bought this car new in 1993. It was my first new car, and I still love it. I just took it on a round trip to Vegas from Seattle - no problems. Still has lots of power, handles great. Everything you need and nothing you don''t. My other car is a 1965 Austin-Healey 3000, and my Sentra can do everything the Healey does easier! The Sentra has 147,000 miles on it and shows no sign of slowing down or wearing out. If I could find another early Sentra with low miles, I''d buy it.

Strength:

Dependible Great value Great gas mileage Cool styling Can withstand high revs and won''t die

Weakness:

1.6L is a little weak @115hp

Bought this car a year ago with 80K miles and it now has 93000 miles on it and still running strong. This little 5speed 4-door is vitually indistructable. This car runs super and you can''t beat the gas mileage. I 40mpg on mine. Best car Nissan ever made. Also these cars don''t break down. Mine has all the original parts on it except for the new CV boots I put on and new spark plug wires. All you got to do is change the oil and filters and they will last a very long time.

Strength:

You will not buy a more reliable car, ok maybe a toyota will compare, Gas mileage is great, reliability, if your budget is limited, or if you drive a lot specially around town this is the car for you.

Weakness:

Not a lot of power what do you expect for the price.

I bought this car used in 1991. I have been driving it for 11 years now, and so far it is the best car I''ve driven. I have 189,000 miles on it yes you hear right one hundred and eighty nine thousand miles and it''s still going. The only major work I''ve done to it was a timing chain replacement two year ago, I did replace the starter about 6 months ago, besides that regular oil change and gas will keep this car running forever. I''m currently in the market for a new car, I looked at the Nissan Maxima trying to keep the same name for relibility history sakes, but it seems too boring for a $30,000 car MSRP. Looking at the Audi A4. I used to own an 1989 sentra as well which I handed down to my mother which she''s still driving at 225,000 miles GO SENTRA!

yah right

This Car owns! I never knew about it.. my friends dident know about it.... and all the other rice burners still dont know what it is as I pass them. - Them: "What its a Sentra?!? He must have NOS or a turbo" -Me: Nope, all stock, and it shall stay thay way. The 2002 SE-R Spec V is not the every day Sentra most people think of. The SE-R Spec V is more then just a sentra, firm shocks, great handling great options, and very very fast.

Strength:

Its relaibility is mind boggling.

Weakness:

The suspension needs some more strength

When I bought this car in 1998, I was the third owner with 98K miles on it. This car is a miracle worker. I don''t think Nissan was aware of how reliable this car is. It has 163,000 miles and travels every where. I call her my baby. I give it high revs only when necessary. The maintenanace cost is worth every dime you put in it. Infact the original clutch lasted 160,000 and the second alternator on it has been there for 5yrs. I am sure Nissan people accidentally put this model for sale. It is the most reliable car you can have. It can take unimaginable punishment. At one time I did 14,000 miles in 6 months. Forget about the Hondas, they are just making a lot of noise. I am in love with Nissan vehicles.

Strength:

The engine is so powerful comparing to other cars within the same level especially the manual transmissioned. I raced a 1995 integra, of course I lost because the integra is lighter with more horse power and a bigger engine but at least I kept up tremendously and the guy was so impressed.

Weakness:

The handling is not that good. The car feels like flipping over when you turn a 90 degree turn at 15 miles per hour.

A very very very reliable car, so cheap to repare. Has a high gas mileage and so economic. Cheap to insure. A perfect car for students.
