Strength:

Speed. could be a little faster but still fast enough
front of the car loooks like the acura 3.2 tl, i put halogens in mine and my freinds cant tell the difference, nice interior,

Weakness:

just the 14 inch tires.......but i got enkei rims on it so it doesnt look that bad
nissan charges to much for the power additives, i got my freind to put in power locks, fogs, and windows (which was tricky) and i am working on the sun roof now all for just under 1500....

In general when my parents bought it for me i was mad. i wanted the integra gs-r or the civic si-r. I took it for a drive, sounds liek the impreza wrx.....which is odd, but cool, the only thing i dont like is the control set on the computer of the car doesnt allow the car to perform all that well, it doesnt have enough power through the 1 and second gear....but its alright i guess....i can still beat my freinds in a race, thats just because of how small the car is.......its got its own aggressive look, makes the protege look like garbage/.....i cant wait until the se-r comes out...............right now i think it is only in japan, but when it comes around, i am sure i will trade and pay the difference for it.......AWSOME CAR>

My freinds integra was no match for this car, this is one fast machine but i really do wish i got the Se, instead of the xe.

Strength:

High quality for price.
More options than similiar cars.

Weakness:

Nissan dealer very nice, but would only come off the price a few hundred.
5spd very hard to find. My dealership had to trade with a dealership 260 miles away(according to the dealer it was one of the only 5spd. availible in GA at the time, the closest one I could find was in Wisconson.)

Wow, I can't belive the car I got for the money. The engine, the shift action, 16" wheels, LSD, sunroof, strut tower brace, etc..... I went looking for a car and saw the Sentra and thought naw I'll go test a new civic. Do this first then you will see how much more you are getting for the money. Plus the civic looks like a mitsubishi mirage, the sentra looks like small maxima. You choose.

Similar Products Used:

90,91 Integra- nice fit a finish like sentra, good engine, but not as much tq as sentra.
95 Sunfire- crappy fit and finish, not a well thought out car. Only plus was 2.2L had lots of tq. About equal with sentra off the line, but sunfire weak in mid to high RPMs.

Strength:

Powerful. No problem climbing hills and passing.
Solid feeling - just feeling.
Feature rich for this class - cruise, air, power - which come as standard.
Cheaper than Civic, Corolla, and Protege.
Gas efficient.

Weakness:

Haven't found any yet... touch wood!

You should go for it if you feel Corolla/Civic/Protege is a bit on the expensive side.

Similar Products Used:

1989 Corolla. Sentra is much more powerful when I used to drive a non-fuel-injected engine.

My Nissan Sentra ??? has a really good takeoff! I could go from 0-60 4.5sec. Is has a really good AC that blow ice cold all the time. The brakes are really good on it too they will stop on a dime. I love the handleing also. I can cut between two cars at 80mph with ouy losing control.

Weakness:

My oil rings need to be replace. And the paint don't last that long on them on the front and rear bumpers. My front tires get ate up really fast. I think it comes from all the spinning out.

My experience with my Nissan Sentra ???, is to much to say. I have beat all kinds of different makes of all type of car. I have only been beat by two car while I had it so far. I have beat three car with turbo so far don't ask me how. I don't have that much work done to it. My car just hual A-S. My car Red line at 8000rpm I could take it all the way to 7000 1/2 rpm. My car have the best takeoff that I have ever seen My car goes from 0-60 in about 4.5 sec. When I hit the gas down it's like your head are pint to the seats. A lot of people think I got Turbo mix with a super charge and also NOS too. My car is now at 450hp. There is know car that can beat my car. And if I ever find those to guys that did that will pay big time. I have the louds sounds system in my whole part of my hood!
I have six kicker 12 on two 1000watts kicker apm. KNOW CAN TOUCH MY CAR!!!!!! Engine ????? Don't ask me what type I have in it!!

Performance - looks and feels like a mini maxima Se!!!

Weakness:

gas mileage could be better. sometimes plastic clip disconnects from trunk
area- i just pop it back in.

I am very satisfied with the Senra Se!!this car feels like a euro sports sedan! The leather seats are very comfortable and offer excellent support.
Get the performance package it's well worth it! Having owned a 1999 Honda Civic Si, The Sentra offers the most bang for your buck, Looks, value,
performance,I believe it is the best value in the compact car market.

Strength:

dependability, agility, don't have to worry about how many miles you drive a year, you just go.A lot of car for this class of car

Weakness:

harsh ride with 4 people and luggage. Only weakness is that it's a car of this class.

Very happy with this car.It gives a great compromise between Performance and Practicality while being rock solid dependable. It has a very good factory sound system, but could use some more room for CD storage.Seats give plenty of lateral support. The car corners like a cat on carpet(wet or dry pavment). The engine is quiet until you step on it,and with the rev's up it sounds great.

Strength:

This car has a nice outside appearance. It's a very fast car. Good for the back roads are the interstate.

Weakness:

Very loud & annoying rattling sound comes from engine at all speeds. Dealer says it's the 4 cyd engine. Backseat area needs more leg room. Interior too small. I'm 5"11" with passengers driving this car is very uncomfortable. Trunk is a bit too small. If you're into car audio you know what I mean. It was hard to find a mounting bracket for aftermarket CD player. After an 16 hour trip arm rest hurts along with front seats being uncomfortable. It's also very hard to find custom parts for this car.(Example white out lights like the Hondas)Hard to keep clean because front mud flaps are hard to come by.On hot days A.C. seems to work intermittedly. Car has a slow takeoff. Passenger side window is coming out of groove. I find myself thinking of trading this car evreyday. The only reason I haven't already is because of how much I owe on it.

I paid way too much for this car. If I would have taken my time instead of rushing I would most likely have another manufacturer's product outside right now. Titanium gauges are nice.If you're buying a car for looks then this is you're car in the compact sedan range.

Limited legroom in back seat

I have only owned this car for about a week and I must say this little car rocks! The GXE comes with power windows, power door locks, power rearview mirrors, cruise control and a 100 Watt AM/FM CD Stereo. A great value for a low price. For just an extra $150 I higly recommend the Convenience Package which includes remote keyless entry, trunk release and a 60/40 split rear seat. The 1.8 I4 engine with overdrive gives you plenty of zip around town as well as the freeway. The ride is smooth and the comfort is excellent for a car of this size. Fuel Economy around town and on the freeway is good too. My previous car was a Taurus. Although this car is quite a bit smaller, I certianly can't tell. Sure there is less legroom in back, but I don't really need it and the load of features the Sentra GXE comes with certianly makes up for that. I have already recommended this car to a few of my co-workers and friends. If you are looking for a great car at an inexpensive price this is the car for you. You can't beat it!

Compared to Saturn SL2. I drove the Saturn and must say that for roughly the same price if not a little less the Sentra is worth it. The Saturn tends to get thrown around on the freeways due to the lightweight body design.

Strength:

Higher HP then Jetta GLS for lower price, but definitely not a cheap car.
Test drive it, and you'll love it. Even the XE is a good choice for the low end.

Weakness:

Antenna placement is awkward, cup-holder is blocking and stationary or none, very small leg-room in the back seat. Sun visor could be better and not as cheap.

I just got it 4 hours ago. I was soooo very close to getting a Jetta GLS, but last minute knowledge changed my mind like GLS=115HP, Sentra SE=145, GLS=close to 20K w/sun rf, Sentra topped at 17.4K w/perf pkg + sun rf + ABS&Side Air Bag(standard on GLS). Oh, did I tell you that insurance is lower with this thing too? I LOOOOOVVVVEEEEEEEE IT!!!!
No wonder the folks at VW are looking for drivers... we're all driving Sentra SEs :)~
Get the SE if you can afford it, and get the manual trans w/performance package if you want a faster car + sun rf to really go out. I got the automatic because of convenience for me and I'm too lazy to drive manuals on a 405 traffic everyday (I drive my g/f's manual Beetle every now and then).

Everything , doesnt cost a arm and a leg, well built , POWER , best in the class , Just the right size , all the stuff you every need , screw the power windows , use your god damn arms man ! ,

Weakness:

Leg room in the back is a bit to be desired , but who cares , its a small car and you have to pay for the extra

I cant believe that this little car has such a punch , I raced my friends in their civics, integras , and neons. NOTHING comes close to this baby, It might be the driver , it might not , but I'am not joking , I run this baby 0-60 in 8 sec flat , not bad eh ? ... I enjoy driving it around town and sometimes on a dirt road , kinda makes me feel like a rally car driver. THis little pocket rocket is one hell of a fighter , I recommended it everyone who is looking for a affordable solution to some small time pocket rocket action
