NOT STARTING, Gas mileage and tires I once loved the idea of owning a Nissan. HOWEVER, I now regret walking into Orland Park Nissan in Illinois. My 'brand new' car has now not started for me on 2 occasions. Both occasions, the service dept here could not find anything wrong with it. The servce I received both over the phone & in person was horrible, from the operator, service & departments and the President. I suggest you NEVER think twice about Orland Park Nissan!!! BTW I AM CONVINCED I HAVE A LEMON!!! |

Stock - Nice low-end torque, gas saver, soft suspension, kinda roomy, original platinum paint, Twin-Cams, easy upgradable performance, Low maintenance, and reliable.
Weakness:
Stock - High-end torque, anti-roll bar doesn't really work, too much wheel & fender gap, breaking is poor. This car was givin to me in 1997 after my pops wrecked it twice. Since then I tinted the windows, dropped it 2" on Eibach Sportline Springs, KYB gas struts, then put on a Jim Wolf Tech. air intake, Greddy catback Exhaust, etc. This car is can of whoopass. If your like me and want some resources, email me. I can't tell you all of my secrets or they won't be secrets will they? i have been driving my nissan sentra gxe but my mechanic advised me to discard it because he said the engine is already worn out.if you don't run the car for about two days the engine loses compression and won't start.what the mechanic will do to make the car run again is to remove the four sparkplugs and pour a little amount of oil into the plugs hole and car starts running. i don't understand it, hence please tell me what's wrong with my car. by the way mileage run for my car reads only 60,000 miles |

POWER...POWER....POWER.....and everything that comes with that....
Weakness:
boring tyling....needs more Vavoom..... I bought this car more than 3 months ago and even if I had put winter tires (in Quebec, Canada....they are almost mandatory....and with the power under those wheels, it's preferable), I'm still enjoying the ride. This car ROCKS!!!! I did researchs for 3 months before buying...nothing can compare. If you are searching for power....you will get the best for the bucks. Friends with sport cars weren't impressed by the boring exterior styling but as soon as they tried it, they became crazy about it... Even my friend with a Acura Integra top of the line was impressed...It's a toy for boy..... Similar Products Used: Acura Integra, Civic SI, Honda CRX, Nissan Altima, Mazda Protégé 5 (no power) |

reliability, reliability, reliability. Looks better than a Corolla, or Civic, and for less money, too. Standard A/C, power windows, locks, mirrors Inexpensive to insure
Weakness:
13" tires scream for an upgrade, wind noise at highway speeds is a problem, though you'll adjust quickly. That's it. This may not be the best looking car I've ever owned, but it is the most reliable. I bought it in May, 2001 with 46,000 miles when my '93 Probe GT was about to die. In the time I"ve owned it, I"ve put 34,000 miles on it, and haven't had to do anything to it at all, except buy a new set of tires at 51,000 miles, and change the oil every 3000 miles. It's still got original everything else. It's fun to drive, even with it's anemic engine, and I don't EVER worry about whether or not it'll get me where I"m going, or if it'll start in the morning. I plan on hanging on to this car for the rest of it's life, and using it as a commuter car, since I drive about 60 miles a day. I would recommend this thing to ANYONE who wants a car that tehy can drive the hell out of, and just do simple maintenence on. It's an amazing car. My next commuter car when this one goes will definitely be another Sentra. I won't even look at anything else. What isn't a strength! But seriously if I had to pick one it would be the engine. So sweet.
Weakness:
Nothing really. Just wish it had some meatier treads. All I can say is wow. I lovwe this car. I've got the regular SE-R with an automatic tranny. Even with the power loss the car performs like a dream. It doesn't matter whether I'm flying by one of my friends' Honda Civics or passing a truck on the highway doing 95. The car is just sweet. I've had no other problems with it. The right front speaker has a little vibration to it but that's it. No defects. No engine problems. Nothing. My only wish is that the wheels be a little bit thicker. It's going to be hard to find replacement high performance tires that are only 195x16. Strength:
Pretty reliable car. Good gas mileage.
Weakness:
Alternator went two years ago at around 55K. I was lucky that it was still under warranty. One thing I didn’t like was that a refurbished alternator was installed to replace the broken one. How long can it last? I don’t know. Another weird issue is that it sometimes (once or twice per year) is not easy to be started after a car wash or rain. Say, I had a car wash on Saturday and parted it in carport for two days. On Monday morning, I had some difficulties to start it. It usually takes about 5 minutes to be started. The engine has no power in the beginning. It shakes and I can tell that 4 cylinders are started one by one. I used a jumper to jump start it, no help. The dealer couldn’t find the issue. Bridge store tires were replaced around 35K miles about 3 years. I replaced them with Michelin and still happy with my decision. Bought as new in 1997. It has 77K miles right now. Great commut car.
