Strength:
Middle of the road safety? I don't think so , Camry's are soo freakin safe (97-2000) They were named "Best pick" by the IIHS. go to www.iihs.com and check it out.
Weakness:
Finely assembled interior , although some of the peices are lacking quality. I.e. cup holder Best in the world over. Similar Products Used: Honda--too loud and rough. |

Strength:
No doubt, a very reliable car. It's roomy, safe, and easy to drive. The Camry V6 has plenty of power - almost a sleeper sport sedan. The V6 is smooth as silk, so quite that most people forget they have the car started. Road noise is also no existent.
Weakness:
1. Suspension is too soft The Camry is a very good car. It's not the best at anything - its not the fastest, roomiest, or the safest. The Camry is the middle road, the car has the heart and soul to get you where you want all the time, rain or shine. Expect the Camry to be a stong car, it is able to play every role in your everyday life. Similar Products Used: Honda Accord and Nissan Maxima |

Strength:
Good take off power, nice leather seating.
Weakness:
Poor structure, low safty rating, I also had mt transmission go out at 37k, which was very expensive! Check engine light comes on all the time! and weak design compared to American auto. This car does have high rating on consumer report, that is the reason why i bought it, but if it was up to me I would never buy a Japanesse car again, and NO it not a lemon! The car keeps on going! its got 150 000kms and I just changed the brake pads! Other then just regular oil changes theres nothing to do.
Weakness:
If you like fixing cars.. then a Camry isn't for you. The thing NEVER needs anything! Love the car, have the 4cly , lack of power, but there is a V6. Its been great to us and never had any problems. Similar Products Used: GM products |

Strength:
It's fun to drive, very easy to handle, very spacious and comfortable. Only had 2 small problems since I've had it. I had to replace the brake pads and have my tires changed, but got a great deal on both. Other than that, the car is awesome!
Weakness:
none My sister got this car (brand new) in 1996, and then I got this car in 1999. Now she drives a black Avalon XL. I got to choose between the two cars, and I prefer the Camry over the Avalon. The Avalon was too long, the Camry is perfect for me. I recommend this car, it's great! I've also driven a Toyota Corolla, which is great too! I recommend buying either a Camry or Corolla, they are both good cars, and very smoothe to drive! Similar Products Used: Avalon XL (this car is too big!), Corolla |

This is my Dad's car. With less than 1000 miles on the car the Master brake cylinder went out. While at the dealer picking up the car I heard a lady say that this is the second time this has happened to her and her car is a 99. Does anyone have similar experiences or heard of any? Except for the brakes it seems like a good car. Similar Products Used: None |

Nice ride. Roomy. Handles excellent. Very Quiet. My friend recommended this car to me. He has 250,000 miles on his and hasn't as much as changed a wheel bearing!!!!!
Weakness:
Well I got the 4 cylinder and now I wish I would have got the 6. It works fine, but I travel to the mountains quite a bit to go climbing and such, and I wish I had more power. For a 4 cylinder it runs a lot better than a 4 from like a honda Paid 18,000. Highly recommend it. Quality is excellent. Totally reliable. Comfortable. Runs great. I would recommend this car to anybody out there, just consider getting a v-6 if you can afford it and if you think you might need it. 1. 4 cylinder lacks power for taking off, passing, merging, and uphill Camry is a very nice car for basic commute and family trips. It is reliable, smooth, quiet, and roomy. It will take you from point A to point B and provides you with a realxed casual driving experience. 4 cyliner Camry is better on gas, less expensive, and more reliable that V6. Strength:
It's a nice little sporty car and fun to drive.
Weakness:
I had several problems with it. I had to replace the brakes and the timing belt, which was fairly exspensive. The body is not very durible either. I also had to replace the clutch. There isn't much room in the back seat. There isn't much power. Only 92 horsepower. Overall I thought it was a bad buy because of all the problems. This may have just been the car as I didn't know the previous owner and I don't know how is was taken care of. When I bought the car it was in a nice looking condition from the outside but maybe I should have had the engine looked at more closely.
