Strength:

Tons of power, Amazing cornering, It makes driving well over 100MPH fell comfortable.°

Weakness:

I have to admit that the interior has way to much plastic. I am dreading 5 years from now when the car starts to age.

I have recently had the joy of driving this car all summer long. I have never been so excited to drive on a regular basis. The car has almost as much power as a vette and is 20k cheaper. Take that 20K and put it into mods and you have one scary machine. If you have a chance to buy one of these cars don''t wait. They are an absolute blast. The gas mileage isn''t that bad either. If you treat it nice in city driving you can get 20 to 22Mpg. If you can get in this car and not enjoy it to the fullest, somebody needs to check and see if you have a pulse.

POWER(305hp-yeah right!),LOOKS/STYLE(great lines), ATTENTION GRABBER(constant looks),MILAGE(gets better milage than my V6 Z34),ASR(safe when wet),A4 TRANNY(times as fast as most M6 LS1's),EASY TO MODIFY

Weakness:

Plasticy interior, short tire life, poor side and rear visiblity, steep windshield, cat at passangers feet, insurance (for some), winter storage. My only personal weakness is not being able to find a locking gas cap!

The car has been a DREAM. It is an absolute blast to drive. I didn't plan on getting an A4, but I never thought I would get an LS1 either. I planned an a 95 or 96 LT1 M6, but the A4 blew it away. One track trip netted a 5.3
0-60mph and a 13.6 1/4 mile - BONE STOCK! Biggest blast for the buck you will find. With the SLP "Loud Mouth" exhaust and VIGILANTE torque converter
aswell as the 3.23 to 3.73 gear swap I will do this winter - high 12's will
be no problem. However, if you're looking for a smooth ride, you should
probably look elsewhere - even though I love the harshness of it. I have had not one single problem with this car. It even has more cargo space than I thought it did. My car is a musclecar that car be driven daily.

Strength:

mmmmm... besides my fuel injected 508ci Big Block, and the bottle of nitrous in my trunk cleverly painted to resemble a fire extinguisher... I'd have to say..... see above.

Weakness:

gas mileage does not exist.... but that is not why I drive it. If I want to go somewhere I jump in my Tahoe and if I want to drive my Camaro when I get there I tow it!! eg. (Virginia Beach, Miami, Englishtown, etc.)

I love my 79, I used to have a 72 Chevelle and she was my baby, but I love my 79 Camaro. I have had punks in civics and integras to wack a$$ stangs and neons..... nobody can take the heart out of this beast. Lets just say that my car is worked, heavily worked and I have gone through the loop holes of the system and actually have the car registered and with license plates on it even though this thing should not be street legal at all. Suffice it to say that more than once I have left punks wondering where the hell did I go when the light turned green and it feels great. I unfortunately also attract alot of police especially when I was running open headers, but now I have a very nice high flow exhaust and an exhaust note that would make you cry. The best thing about my car is something that few stangs or any imports I have burned, can do.... and that is lift the nose 3 feet of the ground in a cloud of smoke.... always fun with the punks 'round my way in their little "stangs" ha ha ha I eat Fords for breakfast!!! Mopar for lunch!!! and import sushi 24-7!! The only cars not from this country that I have respect for are those bearing the name Ferrari or Lamborghini, other than that when you see me come to the light just shut off your engine so you don't embarass yourself.

I had a friend who had me watch his 2000 stang car for him while he was out of town. The deal was I could drive it if he had a full tank when he got home, I said ok. The car is a piece of garbage..... if you have no idea why just remember this clever acronym... F.O.R.D = Fixed Or Repaired Daily..... or even Found On Road Dead, either way stand clear of the stangs. As for the other ford products, they make better trucks then they do sportscars, The prettiest Ford you can buy is the 2001 F150 Harley Davidson Edition Crew Cab, however in my opinion this should have been a Chevy truck paired with HD not a ford.

Strength:

Nice car for the money, ride, haldling, acceleration, braking, looks.

Weakness:

Had to have the rotors turned 3 times in 50,000 miles. This may have something to do with the way I drive it.

The most car for the money I could have gotten. My budget was $14,000 and I expected to end up in a little japanese econobox. The car has been great for a stripee, good enough gas mileage to commute (I've been getting 25mpg and cruising 80mph) and still fairly quick. The upgraded soud system sounds great and after 50,000 miles the car is still working flawlessly.

Rattletrap.A friend of mine owned a 96 Z28 with 140000 mile on it. I thought it was falling apart. It made lots of wierd noises. My 2001 Z28 had 4500 miles on it and it makes the same noises the 96 did with 14000 miles on it.

Fastest car i have ever owned.Sucks you back in the seat when the torque kicks in.Car has more ability than i have nerve.

Good HP and most importantly tourque. Fun summer car that doesn't really cut into your budget. You'll hear it before you see it :)

Weakness:

Color---Pullmeover Red. Catches way too much attention from cops. This is one thirsty B*tch that needs careful maintenance. Rough ride...but its a sportscar, not a Benz.

MmmBEEFY!!! This truly is a sportscar and nothing else. Nothing like a warm sunny day...t-tops off and 300hp. It's everything an 18 year old needs. Good handling and stability but really needs some traction control. Burning tires like no tomorrow is punch away.

Interior room. I knew this when I purchased car. INSURANCE rates, even at my age.

I have owned another B4C (police package) camaro and loved it. The Car is fun to drive. Has the power, looks and duribility. Has 4 wheel abs with traction control. This car is retired Colo. State Patrol cruiser and has over 97K miles on it. No leaks, paint still good, drivers door operates good as new. Probably driven at high speed more than the normal Camaro and uses "NO" oil. Got 25.3 mpg driving 75-90 with a/c over 800 miles. Great fun car. Wish I had one 45 years ago when I was younger.

Strength:

Gobs of power, beautiful lines, great sounding exhaust to mention a few. No major mechanical faults personally. T-tops are great all year round and look awesome off. Probably the best bang for your buck out there.

Weakness:

a few squeaks a rattles, limited back seat room. Really just a "drivers" car, not designed around anybody else. But since the "driver" is the one who paid for it, that's really not a problem.

These cars are a great example of a modern american muscle car. Great looks, lots of power and not much else to water it down. Although the materials used in the makeup of the interior look and feel a bit cheap, the general layout is very good for driving. Gauges are layed out well and there is full instrumentaion including oil pressure, volt meter and radiator tempreture. The bose sound system is probably the best I've heard for this model year. Definately not a family car, but nevertheless if the rear seats are folded down there is plenty of cargo space for things like hockey gear or even skis.

more power that a third-generation, although those were awesome for their time. Overall a more solid car as well.

Strength:

the car has alot of power as it should with 275 horses behind the wheel i have owned it for about 3 months and i have not had any problems with it.i have also owned two other thrid gen f bodies so compared to them this car has them beat. it is a definate chick magnate and it gets attention every where i go... i especially love the horse power and the way the interior is set up..and with the bose 5 speaker system it is the best stock system for that year.the car is not much for gas mileage but who buys a camaro for gas mileage. And with the back seats folded down there is surprisingly alot of truck space the camaro is defintely in my opinion the best bang for the buck

Weakness:

the only thing i found upsetting with the car was the cheep plastic on the dash which i cracked trying to remove it and the parts are expensive but i have my own auto body shop so i do all the work my self and just the usual noise and rattles but with the music blasting i never hear it..and the fact that it is bad in wet weather but i never drive it in the rain anyway.. And again not much room in the car but i didnt buy it to haul alot of people just myself so it works out fine..

i would have to give the car a really good rating.especially the best bang for the buck.. i paid 12,000 for the car and it had only 67k miles on it and it now only has 74k and the car runs like a dream.. i have a problem with the dash board cracking when i tried to remove it and the power window switch came apart but it is nothing i could do myselkf.. but no major problems and you wont have any problems as lng as you maintian it.. i do a oil change every 2k miles and i never beat on the car... unless i have to embaress someone is a mustange i really hate fords.. but the car never leaves the garage and never see's rain or snow.. but the parts are expensive, a distributor cap and rotor for the car will cost you over a hundred dollars... probobally not a first car for a teenager bc of all the power and it the fact that even with the traction control it is still really bad it wet weather..this car is ideal for true muscle car lovers and people who hate fords, like myself.... but this car gets attention everywhere i go
i couldnt imagine owning anything else i will always be a f-body owner.

Strength:

Safe, reliable, good-looking, handles well, good torque, gets good gas mileage...

Weakness:

Quality of interior is cheap, cheaply made power window/door lock switches, squeaks and rattles sometimes, could use a bit more horsepower...

I've had this car for over 7 years now and it has been great overall. It is a reliable, fun car to own and receives a lot of attention. It's not as nimble as my '91 Miata I used to have, but it handles curves well for such a bulky car (nearly 3400 lbs.). It's definitely not a family car, but small children fit well in the rear seats. I've been rear-ended twice in this car and was not injured in either accident...it's probably the safest sports car around. The exterior still looks new and the original alloy wheels are in good shape. However, if you require more speed, get the Z28 or SS...those models are definitely the BOMB!!
