Strength:

1. Looks; These cars are very pleasing to the eyes.
2. Power; The 305 hp LS1 is a brute, this car doesn't accelerate, it launches.
3. Gas Mileage; I've managed between 26.7 and 28 miles per gallon every time I've checked mileage on long trips. That pretty good for a vehicle pushing out 300+ ponies. Local driving gets between 18 and 23, depending on whether or not I can keep my right foot out of the gas.
4. Dependability; I've never known any mechanical problems out of this or any other Chevy v-8, and I have a lot of experience personally.
5. VALUE! I paid $18,000 for this car new. The sticker was over $24,000, so that is a BIG plus.

Weakness:

1. Not the most comfortable vehicle made, but I can deal with it.
2. The 2.73 to 1 rear end in this vehicle. It's still plenty fast, but I'd love a 3.23, 3.42, or even a 3.73 for quicker acceleraton.

I love this car. It is not the most luxurious thing on the road, but I wasn't aiming for that. These cars are affordable, very performance oriented, and pretty dependable. Do not buy one if you want a nice, coushy
ride, or you have a hissy-fit over every squeak the car makes, like an earlier reviewer. These were not made for cozy drives. If you want that
get some big Cadallac or something like that.

Really, these cars are the best bag for the buck out there in the sports car world. Unless you have at least a Corvette, or something much, much more expensive, the Z28 will make you eat exhaust from a distance. The Mustang GT isn't even in the same league.

85 Camaro High Output 5.0 (200hp), 86 IrocZ TPI 5.0(215hp), 89 Mustang GT 5.0(225hp)

This vehicle is much like the traditional Camaros. It isn;t very roomy, and is muhc more of a young peson, single person, or weekend car. It gets better gas mileage than any of the above, and it will literally run away from them.

Strength:

Power, handling, looks, seats(very comfortable ride for driver)dash layout simple and at hand, guages just right, sounds great with a flowmaster. Also has great saftey ratings in crash tests. I can drive this thing all day.Lt1 is a proven engine with some design faults but overall it hauls A**

Weakness:

Oil leaks, interior construction, hump on passengerside floor, soft seat for passenger (on mine only)visibility diminished in bright sun.Rear end. Heavy rear hatch with some strange noises from that area.Window motors suck.

1994 Z28, $10,800. 61,700 miles,Awesome car if you go for muscle cars. Like a vette but more room. This is a good choice as a second car. Young and middle age crisis would love this car. Women may like it also. NOT A FAMILY CAR.

Strength:

Great acceleration and speed. Great looks. Smooth ride compared to our 99 mustang. Good sound system. Great handling.

Weakness:

Visibility down some. Small inside especially in back seat. Mine seems to attract dust like a magnet and paper clips. High insurance.

I think this is a great car. I am 16 and this is a great car for me and other young people to start with even though the insurance is VERY expensive. GREAT sports car though!

Strength:

awesome performance, great interior i love the dual vent look above the guage cluster i don't know why they got rid of it. the sleek exterior, it looks like its flying just sitting there. great cornering great sound from the exhaust
i have had this car for 4 years and i have only had to replace the battery, serpentine belt, and drivers window motor.
-greatest strength is its a "5.0 liter eater"
-i've never been beat by an import either!
and thats all on a stock motor but future plans include a supercharger. LOOK OUT!

Weakness:

tires are expensive
gas but its not bad if you can use sixth gear plus what do you expect from a sports car

best investment i ever made. i bought the Z in 96 from a female teacher who bought it new in 94, it only had 30,000 on it. she and her husband were buying a house so i got it for 12,000. what a steal. my Z has the 6 speed a must for a sports car. over the last 4 years i have put the dual friction centerforce clutch on it(good for grabbing 4 gears), a K&N filtercharger, the white face guages,a cowl induction hood,a high wing in back from rksport,a turbo exhaust kit with dual chrome tips, and the best exterior addition-the s2000 series crager's chrome 17s if you have a camaro i have yet to see a better rim on one. i had the bose radio removed and put in an alpine with 2-10'
JL audio subs in a custom box in back. i replaced the front and rear speakers with infinite. with the hatch closed and the T-tops out this car is unreal loud. the car is almost paid off and everytime i get in it, it puts a smile on my face! i wish i could send pictures what a head turner. it probably sounds like i'm rich but i'm in the marine corp so i'm not, this was all accomplished little by little. buy a camaro you can't go wrong!!!!!!

Strength:

LS1 power! Price/performance.

Weakness:

Seats are a bit on the S&M side. Skipshift is annoying (but fixable ;-). Paint chips easy on composite body peices.

This is a fast ride. Nothing in it's price range can touch this car. The car looks sweet too. Putting out over 335HP it's a beast. But just remember it's a sports car (American muscle car at that). It handles like one and it rides like one. Definatly recommend that you spend any mod money on suspension and body stiffining before adding more HP. And the seats. This is my only real complaint. I'm tall and no headrest just sucks! The seats are just not as comfortable as they should be. Not unbearable, but not BMW or VW seats.

The SS package includes Goodyear F1 GS 275/40ZR17 tires, 17" rims, Forced air hood and airbox (looks nice but not exceptionally functional), performance suspension. I also got the Duel-Duel exaust, chrome 10 spoke wheels (HIGHLY recommend!) and SLP grill. Also leather, T-Tops, and 6-speed.

DRIVING POSITION, GAS MILEAGE, CARGO SPACE, VISIBILITY, RIDE, BUILD QUALTITY, NO TAPE DECK (CD ONLY), HUGE HUMP IN THE FOR THE CC CONVERTER,
ENGINE KNOCK WHEN COLD, VERY POOR WINTER CAR.

THE CAMARO IS OK AT BEST. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW LAST JUNE
FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHICH OFFERED VERY GENEROUS DISCOUNTS ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD A FEW MINOR PROBLEMS SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT . 1) RATTLES IN BOTH DOORS, FIXED AFTER 3 VISITS. 2) HATCH STICKS , DEALER
CLAIMS TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT STILL STICKS. 3) NOISE WHEN SHIFTING
FROM P TO R, DEALER REPLACED U-JOINTS. 4) DRIVERS WINDOW ROLLEDS UP VERY
SLOWLY, DEALER REPLACED MOTOR. 5) ENGINE KNOCK WHEN COLD, DEALER CLAIMS
THIS IS NORMAL, I DON'T BELIEVE IT. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER 11 TIMES
SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS CAR
STICKERED AT OVER 25K! GM REALLY NEED TO GET THEIR S*** TOGETHER. THERE IS NO REASON TO PRODUCE A AUTO THAT HAS SUCH LOW QUALITY. MY PRIMARY VEHICLE IS A TOYOTA WHICH HAS SUPERIOR BUILD QUALITY AND RELIABILITY.
THE AMERICAN AUTO MFG ONLY PRODUCE GOOD TRUCKS AND THATS ONLY WHAT I WOULD
BUY IN THE FUTURE. TO BUY THIS CAR AS YOUR PRIMARY VEHICLE YOU REALLY NEED
YOUR HEAD EXAMINED. SPEED COMES AT A PRICE AND A VERY LARGE ONE AT THAT!

Strength:

-Stylish body
-Great Handling
-Nice Pickup
-Killer Monsoon Sound
-T-top are a must!

Weakness:

-With 4 wheel anti-lock disk brakes the rims get dirty fast.
-There is a big power loss off the line if you have the a/c turned on.
-There is a hump on the floor of the passenger side.
-There is very little room for the two bucket seats in the back

This car is great. With the optional sports package and dual exhaust it really sticks to the road. The 4-wheel disk breaks allow you to stop on a dime, which is really important for "light to light" racing. The steering is tight, and with a high steering ratio it driving is fun. The optional 8-speaker 500 watt. Monsoon sound system blows away most all after market systems in clarity and volume. With t-tops, it is a lot easier to get a date! This is one car you've got to buy.
