Having a Camaro demands some attention automatically. Being Bright Red with the Z28 Wheels and tires does attract more attention. The seats were comfortable, and the Radio was loud enough for me. Having a free-flow exhuast system and a cold-air intake installed on it, it will get 35 MPG on the highway. I drive all over the place, and this car does the job extremlely well.
Weakness:
Don't get a RED CAMARO! It is a cop magnet! A loud exhaust turns heads, some heads you would rather not turn. Again, "arrest me" RED is a trouble color, but you can't go wrong with Red Camaro. Insurance is tough for a younger male driver, but the V6 takes regular gas and gets great mileage if it isn't hammered. Make sure to buy 4 BLIZZAKS for the winter months! I have been satisfied. It is fun to drive, and it looks great. Being a single male, you don't need a family car. The Camaro does the job fine, with decent rubber on the wheels and normal driving habits, it can be a all-year car. Disrespect it, and you are going to wipe out. Had a 70 with a 302 (wish I still had it - what a collector's item) and a 77 with the 350 4bbl. This 94 with the 3.4L V-6 Handles better than the 77, with better braking and acceleration than the 70. Bought this one with 65,000 on it, but really well maintained by the car salesman who owned it. What more can you say - its a Camaro and darn well worth it!
Weakness:
Loose plastic pieces in the dash, and low profile in the front. The 94 Camaro is one of the best ... had to get one before GM closes the factory. The 3.4L V-6 is smooth, powerful (to a point) and gets you where you need to go with class. Great ride! Similar Products Used: My 70 was my all time favorite just cause it would do 150 mph. This one only does 110, but that's fast enough now that I'm pushing 50 myself. |

car has great torque ratings. 305 four barrel with tp end cam. Has about 230 or 240hp and about 310 torque rating. i just got my liscense and my car beats mustangs like crazy. i have trouble with the new Z28 and SS because they are also very fast cars. With a few mods i could beat them too. the car is in great shape and is very pretty. has a nice rear spoiler and fat 235/70/14 tires all the way around with the shiny camaro ralleyes. girls love the car and it attracts alot of attention from the jealous people who are hating on the supposedly 145hp 305 engine.
Weakness:
the car does not do good on ice at all. leave it in the garage on icy days. sucks down gas. cops always watching me. i hv raced alot of different cars with this thing and it holds its own. 77 camaros are not the weak engined bad handling cars some people say they are. they are very underrated. not the strongest year of the camaro but its not a slow terd either. i am going to take the 305 out and rebuild it up all the way with nothing but performance goodies and while it is out i will get a ZZ4 crate motor. when finished i will put the 305 back in. i love to pull up to those guys and ask them to race me. they ask what u got i say a 305. they laugh but when that 305 shows them a thing or to they are realy surprised. Everything about the car is strengths
Weakness:
there is no weaknesses in these cars. Chevrolet gives you 340 hp for this camaro. 26,000 for a stock car, that handles like a champ, goes 0-60 in way less then 6 seconds, close to 12's in a quarter mile, and a top speed of 160mph, thats PERFORMANCE!!! So if the car makes a little noise and vibrations, I will tell my silly a** to GROW THE HE** UP, and realize what I got for the money, since I will blow the doors off of other stocked cars in it's price range and well above it, except for a corvette zo6. So weaknesses is so such thing in this car. If I felt there was a weakness, I don't realize it costs much more money for an engine trans rear that gives performance , then for someone to be happy with a super quiet and smooth ride which doesn't cost a car company nearly as much for performance parts, and smooth and quiet costs so much more. I will hang up my jacket and say for the little noise the car may make I will blow cars away in this price range and over, so deal with it. my experience is simple, if i wanted a smoother ride, which I feel the camaro with the performance it gives is the smoothest of them all in it's price range, I would get a corvette. This is for the people that complain about the noise and bumps. While you payed all that money for your super smooth ride, your big suspension and shocks, etc, your engine, transmission, and rear, will never compare to a Z28 SS SLP, and never corner, steer, and control like an SS!!!!!! A car should be able to take ABUSE, and run like a champ. It's whats inside that counts the big dog(engine trans rear) not a SUPER SMOOTH RIDE Similar Products Used: It blows car away thats how it compares. |

Strength:
What a beautiful car! She never fails to turn heads, and she has the performance to match the looks.
Weakness:
The dash is way to big. Some of the interior plastics (i.e. the between seat console) is made of a little-too-cheap plastic which scratches easilty. With a $30K sticker price, you certainly can't say the SS is a inexpensive car, but for the looks and performance the SS gives you, it's got to be the best value on the road. I'm 18 years old and it amazes me when people say they have fast cars. I come up against 240SX's, 300ZX's, Chevelle SS's and GTO's. But the most popular car I come up against are the 80's Camaro 5.0's and 5.7's. I have a 69 with a 396/375 hp engine. It's a joke. Do any of you know that the 80's Camaro's only had about 220 to 270 hp. It's a waste of my time. My engine stalled one time at the line and I still caught up and passed him so fast he had to look twice to make sure it was me. The 305 is by far the worst V8 ever made except for maybe the 301 from Pontiac.
Weakness:
I can do 200 mph and it is hard to control at that speed...ha. You gotta be one hell of a driver to handle this raw muscle. If you know how, you won't lose. I grew up racing dirt bikes, quads and go karts. I know how to handle a clutch. Just remember to stay cool when it goes sideways... And it will. Similar Products Used: 70 GTO 455 I'm faster |

The power is unbelievable. With under $200 I added at least 30 hp. with a flowmaster muffler and a K&N filter. I plan to make future mods and they aren't very expensive.
Weakness:
The 1st to 4th forced gearshift is a pain. When your RPM's aren't high enough and you try to shift from 1st to 2nd, it forces you into 4th. Dangerous when you are trying to cut through traffic on a street. There is a chip that eliminates the option but it voids the factory warranty. I would recommend a Camaro Z28 to anyone who wants a powerful car for a great price. If you don't want to spend alot get one with manual door locks and windows, you will save a bundle. Have the dealer find one at other dealerships, don't buy the one on the lot with power everything they want to sell you for 26,000. Don't buy one for your teenager, they will kill themselves. I really love the power and acceleration of the vehicle. Shift speeds are very responsive to the type of driving. Gas milage is great for a V-8. Very comfortable on long drives and short. It really eats up the comparable competition. Sound system is mind blowing for a factory system. Overall it is an awesome machine.
Weakness:
Stearing could be better. I can really feel the weight of the engine in the front end. Trunk space is lacking, but expected for a vehicle of this type. I feel that even though it is quite powerful, I know the powerplant could have produced a lot more from the factory. I would highly recommend this vehicle in the "bang for the buck" catagory. For me it has been a low maintenance and fun to drive car. It is very affordable for it's type. It is a little frills and big thrills muscle car, just like they should be. Similar Products Used: Before owning this I had my 1997 GTP with 240 HP. I will say that it was nice, but the time spent driving to the dealer wasn't worth it. Anyway, the Camaro is probably never compared to the GTP until now. The camaro is comparable in acceleration, handling and comfort. |

I like alot about my 84 Z28, first, it has almost all the options that were put out this year. Dual power mirrors, power seat, power windows, power door locks, hatch popper, clock in the console, T-tops and an overhead console. It has alot of power, I don't know why people even build these engines up.....it's plenty of power for me.
Weakness:
The only thing I don't like about my 84 Z28 is that it has a limited slip pos. rear end in it and this car REALLY eats the gas...and oh yeah...one more thing... not just this 3rd generation Z28 Camaro but all of them...they all ride HORRIBLE!!!, but, that's what you get when you buy a low sports car. Well.....if you want a car that rides nice...don't go with a 3rd generation Camaro Z28....but if you want a really nice lookin sports car and can get plenty of original and aftermarket parts for...go for a 3rd generation Z28 Camaro. Similar Products Used: This is my first car...I'm not sure how it compares with others. |
