Z28 Camaro
Strength:
The whole car is strong It is easy to work on and the seats are way nice.
Weakness:
the lowness and the small trunk The car rules It was the first year camaro put out with the computer in it. The vinle seats are way nice the dash board is nice the whole car was designed alwsomely. The 350 engine in it is strong and is very fast I would consider owning another one plus this one later on. Camaro are strong made cars and the older ones are the best 67-81 but the new ones are car history also. I also own a 1967 Indy pace car camaro its a tough car but needs a lot of work payed nothing for it found it in some old condemed farm chickens were living in it so i looked around and found out the car was condemed and no one owned it so i took it and guess what the title was in the car and everything so iam fixing it up the engine has cracked heads so iam rebulding another one to put in it. Strength:
Dependability, performance, gas mileage. The Monsoon option for the stereo is amazing.
Weakness:
Slow power windows. Cheap interior. This is the fifth Camaro I have owned. The car is basically the same car it was in 1982. A Camaro is not for every one, but if you want performance, looks and dependability it may be for you. Luxury and comfort were not on the priority list during design, but if you want a piece of Americana, the true muscle car, like your father drove, this is it. Camaro RS
Strength:
Very strong car! High resale value. Heats up quickly for those cold winter mornings. Perfect derby car.
Weakness:
Stone-age suspension, horrible stearing, poor handling, nasty styling, no glovebox, no tachometer, very little room, only 2-wheel drive, rust magnet, poor acceleration...must I go on? I had the opportunity to drive my friend's Camaro around for a little bit. I wasn't impressed with this car at all. He wrecked his car a couple days ago, and this car firmly protected me from a side collision. The other vehicle, a 2002 GMC Fullsize Z72 Pickup was disabled. The camaro won! This car can be an eye sore at times, but it is the perfect derby car. The Camaro is not a speed machine. I've driven circles around this car several times with a tiny '92 base-model Honda Accord. If you want to buy a camaro, buy an older one. '67-70 Camaro. The newer models are pieces of junk. Similar Products Used: Honda Prelude, Ford Mustang, Ford Thunderbird... |

Strength:
All engine..great handling...feels good going down the road. Lots of power and love the center mounted exhaust and the entire SS package. Looks are out of this world but cant get too many chicks...too old.
Weakness:
I hate this d--- skipshift...what an idiot that thought this up. I believe I have cussed this worse than any woman in my life. Seats are uncomfortable and dont like the "hump". Emailed Chev complainimg about Skipshift and they told me to buy an automatic..That comment unfortunately will keep any Chev product from gracing my driveway in this lifetime. Great ride...I cant wait to get off work to get in this car. I had a family car for last ten years but always loved the fast Chevys..(Cameros...Vettes)..and just wanted one more before I was too old to mash the gas. I nearly did not get one since they were nearly all gone(SS'S) but I got lucky. I paid out of the butt but dealer said take it or leave it so I took it and have been 98% satified. I love this car...fast Similar Products Used: 1981 Corvette 1984 Corvette |

Engine
Weakness:
everything else I dumped this piece of junk after owning it 6 months. The LS1 engine is second to none but that's where the positives end with this car. This car is so bulky and ponderous. You can't see the hood. The dashboard is a mile long. You sit too low. The seats are from the dinosaur age...the worst I've ever sat it in on any car. The car even looks like a boat....it's too long and too wide. I bought this car just for the speed. And yes it has plenty of that. But shortly after I got it, I realized I was having no fun driving it. What good is speed when you you have to navigate a big gas-sucking dumptruck? The gas pedals was also way cramped in the right corner of the floor. I got a super low mileage, mint condition '92 Mustang GT instead. After new 3.55 gears and exhaust, this thing suits me just fine and sounds way better than any single muffler LS1 does. The LS1 may be a tad faster but I could care less. My mustang hauls damn good and it feels so much lighter and more fun to drive than the LS1 boat. Not too mention it looks 10 times better. If GM can stuff an LS1 engine into something other than a boat....I'll come back but the Z28 sucked. People can talk all day about how this car can eat Mustangs...etc but the facts are that it's only slightly quicker and after hopping out of mine and now in a modded Mustang.....I can't even tell much of a speed difference at all. But the 'stang is so much more comfortable and it feels like you're driving a car and not a lowered dumptruck. For me that's what matters. |

LT1, it's a torque pig, style, ride, comfort, T TOPS!!!!, contorls, handling, transmission.
Weakness:
What it did to my insurance....that was really my fault, should've bought a radar detector. Rear end, Chevy's 7.5 is just too small for the car. I never did enough mods to out grow it, but I was getting close. Could've used a 12 bolt. Best sports car for the price out there. Bone stock it'll take bolt on gt's, throw some bolt on's on it and it'll eat cobras. I had intake, T/B, headers, exhaust, suspension, ripper shifter, pulleys, HPP, 3.73's and I smoked my friends prepped cobra. Great car, nothing but regular maintenence. Can't beat the look. Hate to say it, but this car will increase your sex life. Comfortable, I'm 6'2" and this was the first of 7 cars I didn't have to put the seat all the way back. Driver friendly cabin. Will be purchasing an ls1 in the near future. Similar Products Used: 1993 mustang GT, 1997 cobra, 1996 trans am(just as good of a car, I just don't like orange illumination) 1994 honda prelude, I've driven pretty much every sports car in the same catagory as the camaro |

Strength:
Value. For the money I'd rather have a new camaro then any thing else in it's price range. Take a look at those fully loaded mid sized domestic cars to compare value.
Weakness:
Some people say it's bad in the snow, but any one buying a sports car should know better. Mine is in a garage right now comfertably resting, for spring. I've had this car since the begining of this summer, and I love it. Turns many heads. With a V6, pushin only 200 HP it isn't the fastest car on the road. But then again while in thetown (city) the cops also turn there their heads, and not the other way. Can't really get "away" with much since it's an attention grabber and also the fact that while the automatic head light detector helps you not forget to turn your lights on at night, it also doesn't allow you ever turn them off. The T-tops are a better option then the convertable, so much easier to take off/on with the set in trunk holders. If you like sun roofs then go with the t tops as well, the tinted t-top window lets the right amount of sun in with out causing blinging glare. car's got great style.
Weakness:
Poor handling in adverse weather. Hydroplane's pretty easily 1998 Camaro is a fabulous vehicle. I've never had so much fun just driving around in my car listen to some tunes and feeling the drift of the wind in my hair. It bring me in overwhelming excitement just approaching my car in anticipation of the ride to come. For 2 years i;ve drove this car and for exactly 2 years I've experienced no disappointment |
