Strength:

Solid handling..6spd stick..comfortable seats/ back rest..good looks..MB quality at a steal of a Chrysler price..Good MPG..Just a few thousand more than a plastic Pontiac/Saturn..Employee discount priceing did it for us.Couldn't beat that much quality at any other mfgs price..

Weakness:

No tilt wheel..No std XM/Sirius..Cup Holder?..Above mentioned are no big deal at all

Wife and I have never had a convert before.Looked far and wide for a Xfire Roadster in other color interiors than 2 shades of grey.Found one with Cedar/black interior, black exterior with 6 spd stick and it is a stunner..She loves the car and so do I.We are both large people and we fit comfortably top up or down.We drive with the top/windows down as much as possible as it is so much fun to drive with that open air feeling. We are not autocrossers but we do drive aggressively where possible.Swapped out Harman/Becker radio/GPS unit for Alpine unit with XM.We get 28MPG on the open road.We don't get butt-sore after a days drive.Must be loved by women as my wife has received many + comments on the car by ladies that own one also and love the interior combo of ours.

I did not know about this car last year!
Tilt steering would have been nice...not that big of a deal. I have a Crossfire!!!!!!

I was shopping for a new BMW, Nissan or Honda Roadster. None impressed me.
When I saw the Crossfire, I feel in love, I could not believe it. I would never buy a Chrysler.
The ride is great. I drive it whenever possible. I even map out country paths to avoid the interstates so that my drive lasts longer. The car is so cute.
No complaint about the limited luggage/golf club space, air noise, etc. It is a R O A D S T E R. UPS and USPS are our friends. If you have clubs, etc...ship them in advance, rent them or buy news with all the money saved by not buying a higher priced vehicle. The car is worth any loss of space just by driving it or even riding.
It looks great with top up or down.
Cup Holder? I thought it was to hold my cell phone. And it does work perfectly for holding cups, too.

Strength:

Sooooo fun to drive. Awesome handling, solid feel, great looks. I turn heads alot and love that feeling.

Weakness:

I hate that cupholder with a passion. The interior paint is easily scratched, I would expect a little better interior quality. Cheap plastic... Not the most powerful car, by far.

I got a great deal on this car and I gotta say I love it!! I always admired the Crossfire's looks, but never thought I would get a chance to own one. I paid 18,500 for the 2004 coupe at 20,000 miles. I get tired of things easily, but everytime I leave my house and see my car in the driveway, it always puts a smile on my face. I had to learn stick, so it was a pain at first... But now that I'm solid on manual, I love it too! So fun, the only way you should ever buy a sports car. I don't think I can rave any more than I already did.

Strength:

Cheap

Weakness:

Just about everything else

I thought this looked cheap !Paid 25,000 euros (16,000 GB Pounds Sterling). Now I know why ! Should have had a longer road test. Handling and ride are awful - whatever surface you are on, Crossfire makes it feel like a mogul field. Auto gearbox is a disaster, you never know when it's going to kick, ratios are all wrong. Performance is poor for a motor of this size, handling and cornering remote and vague, no confidence in putting your foot down. Very noisy and tiring at speed. Interior plastic is low quality formula and feels like a KIA.

Model Reviewed: SRT-6 Roadster

Strength:

Beautiful with top up or down. Exclusiveness and Attention. Amazing power and handling in a small package. Mercedes quality and AMG Performance with Chrysler prices and design. Great Ergonomics -- Very supportive seats that are heated, easily read and reached gauges and buttons. Lots of headroom with top up. 18" front, 19" Rear Alloy wheels with Z rated tires are standard issue! Incredible bargains out there because car was poorly advertised.

Weakness:

Lots of road and wind noise, Cramped compartment. Leave your bags at home! Radio and Warranty (3/36) are weak on a car of this class. Blind spots on both sides with top up are pretty bad. No tilt Steering, autostick is only choice and its dull compared to Mercedes Paddle shifters or 6-sp manual

I purchased my Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster used from an EXCELLENT dealer in Sanford, FL for a heck of a price.. MSRP on this car is close to $5lk!. This vehicle is an ABSOLUTE Steal for this price and even at the MSRP its a good deal. Basically you are getting a 2004 Mercedes SL32 AMG in a prettier body with a Chrysler badge on the front. Power is AWESOME, ride is stiff but much better than other sports cars of this class. Top is very trick with its operation as is the Cup holder which you would NEVER think would work, but does remarkably well!. With the top up there is plenty of room for my 6'3" frame, and the car actually looks better (IMHO) with the top up than the coupe and is drop dead sexy with it down! The handling is excellent, although some have said its not on par with Mercedes or Porsche's offering. To them I say, take the extra 20 to 30 large you saved and add airbag, coilovers and more aggressive rubber. There are however a few downsides to this car. For starters, the wind noise even with the top up is pretty loud. Much louder than similar vehicles. The car is definitely for people who don't carry much luggage as there is very little storage room with the top up and its almost non-existant with the top down. The sweet paddle shifters of the Mercedes version didn't make it to the Crossfire, and instead has a puzzling, side shifting auto stick that works well, but isn't very sporting in a 330HP convertible. A 6-sp manual would've been a great option as well. Also the stereo is nice but could have had options for Aux out or MP3 capability in a car of this price range. There is also no tilt steering wheel (only telescoping). I would say overall that these are all minor annoyances compared to the incredible overall value this vehicle offers. For under $40k you are getting Corvette/Porsche Performance, Ferrai-like exclusivity and attention, Chrysler Dealership support and a vehicle designed (and debugged) by Mercedes performance group AMG (now under the Chrysler SRT Performance Moniker). I'm just hoping Mercedes repair prices don't translate over for this car. ;-)

The stylish/classic-modern look, heated seats, comfortable ride, handles AWESOME around corners with the 19" wheels on rear!

Weakness:

Cup holder is in a weird spot, but no biggie....I actually use the cigarette ashtray as my cell phone holder! haha...no other weaknesses besides my OWN Weakness to my car! :)

I love my new car! I'm only 22 years old so i haven't had many cars...i actually traded in my Mustang GT for this car and love love love it! I thought i'd miss the throatyness of my Stang, but this Crossfire is a dream. I am in love!! Just the way it looks and the looks that I get when i drive in it is great! It's definately a head-turner! I'm in the automotive industry and so i'm a huge car enthusiast. I almost purchased a Mercedes SLK230K but am SOO glad that i chose the crossfire. Afterall, the crossfire basically is a Mercedes! I love how it handles, love the autostick option, the heated seats - everything! The only thing is that I have a black one, so keeping it clean is alot more work!

Strength:

The drivetrain for one, and then the seats. Very comfortable when you find the "sweet spot." I can drive for hours without any back pain, and I have lower back problems.

Weakness:

No spare tire, but you can buy a tire plug kit that will supplement the repair kit supplied with the car. I have the Conti All Seasons, and they are fine for daily driving, and cruising. Otherwise I love the car. The NAV System, typically German, is complicated and unused. I read maps!

Sticker was $37550 I have driven this car every day since I purchased it. This is my daily driver, 55 miles round trip to work, on a mixture of Interstate and city streets. The car is flawless. The paint is perfect (I know I wax it twice a month). The engine is quiet and responsive. I use the Manu-Matic automatic like a stick and find it works fine. Sometimes it thinks for itself and downshifts two gears when I only wanted one, but that is rare. The streets are terrible, but I have no squeeks or rattles. I have been back to the dealer twice, for oil changes, that's it. This is, by far, one of the best cars I have owned. By the way, it corners at speed like a go-kart! Tire inflation is critical. I keep mine at 35 vice 33lbs. The stability control program works very well, especially in just wet conditions.

No spare or runflats. Think about it before you buy.

The Crossfire would be a great car, except for one little item Chrysler left out. There's no spare or runflats. With 2 blowouts under my belt, one from a nail in the sidewall, another from a 4 inch raise in the pavement.I can tell you it's not a car you would want to drive on a country road late at night.Call Chrysler towing...$75.00..AAA free. Outside of no spare or runflats, its a great car the car. Handles well, great looking, and it's a Benz. But would I buy another?..No, unless Chrysler offers runflats.

Strength:

the classy retro design, the acceleration, everything!

Weakness:

None, unless you like to guzzle a convenient store slurpy and qvetch about a stupid cup holder instead of enjoying a wonderful car and making yourself a hazzard to the other people on the road.

Okay, I'm a little sick of some of the online reviewer comments about this car; "not the power of a Nissan Z, has the old type recirculating ball steering, too much money for a Chrysler,ONLY ONE CUP HOLDER AND IT STINKS, etc. All I can counter with is; buy the Z and get a japanese has been with a cheap interior, as for the steering, many folks have been duped by Detroit about the wonderfulness of rack and pinion. The truth is that they developed it as a huge manufacturing cost saving and try to pass it off as greater than sliced bread. It's okay, but it's just a cheap way to steer a car. lastly about the Crossfire cup holder, it beats the heck outta me why cup holders are an issue in a performance sports car, unless a person is still nursing. The Crossfire is hands down one of the best cars ever manufactured. My car is the best car I have ever owned and I have had all the so-called premium cars. My car is 100% Mercedes and a ball to drive and an automotive work of art. Like any machine it's not going to please everybody, especially nitpicker auto expert wannabe types who find fault just for it's own sake. I feel bad about the gullible people who take the picky-uney comments to heart and deprive themselves of a great car with a great value. Except for the soccer moms and average family of four, the Chrysler Crossfire is the best and most exciting car out there for the money. Look at one and follow your heart for the reward of a lifetime instead of listening to self absorbed nit pickers. The design, acceleration and quality of the Chrysler Crossfire are superbly excellent.
