Strength:
Cheap Price/Power
Weakness:
LOW RESALE VALUE, I paid 15000 I got 8000 WTF??!?! TErrIBLE RELIABILITY, always breaks down, makes wierd noises, and IT's a FORD!!!!!!! Fun to drive when it actually works!!! Always has problems, things falling apart, exhaust rumble and very low resale value. Don't belive what some of these ford enthusiasts say when it comes down to it, ford is the worst automotive manufcaturer in terms of reliability. Who cars if you have all that horse power when your car breaks down before 20,000 miles??? I traded mine in for an MR2 turbo and I can spank V8's and have better gas mileage. |

Fastback
Strength:
Like I said it srcreams power, and is a real head turner with its calipso coral (bright ass red) paint. I love the way this car sounds cruising down the road at 55mph, and you can't beat the low rumble at idle speed, almost as if you can hear every cylinder popping. As with any classic mustang it is very easy to work on.
Weakness:
It goes through gas like nobodies business. Uh, other htan that I can't think of any. As with any Mustang i love it. I have been restoring Mustangs for 13 years and know have a 1969 grande, 1966 sprint 200, 1996 gt conv., but my favorite has to be my '70. I love the look this car has, it's just screems power. I restored this car from the groung up. Everything has been restored to original specs, except under the hood. There I have a 5.0 fuel injected 302, with many modifications. To list a few: flowmaster headers and exaust, K&N air filter, positraction rear end, and it even has the computer out of the '96 cougar i pulled it from. To say the least this car is a one of a kind. The power of this car is phenomenal, and the looks are even better.
Weakness:
This car has no weaknesses. This car is the greatest car I have ever owned. The car has great speed and looks. I have not had any problems with the car ever since I bought it. Similar Products Used: They do not even compare. |

V6 coupe
Strength:
Fun to drive and desent gas mileage for a V6. Sound system is good but I upgraded the front speakers and added a 6 disc changer. Car did not come w/ spoiler or cruise control so I added that. Saved a few bucks and got GT stuff including a leather steering wheel.
Weakness:
Floor mats they gave me sucked (curled up on the sides, looked awful). Threw them out after a week and bought the running pony mats. Not a great deal of engine punch. I expected more but I also understand the automatic transmission limits me. Truck lid fit is a little odd-- is about a 1/8 inch too high but the spoiler masks this. NO STORAGE IN THE CABIN. Cheap plastic details (Visor, mirrors). Chrome yellow with tinted glass--automatic trans. Good buy. Comfortable to drive and easy to look at day to day. People ask about it and it turns heads EVERYWHERE. Similar Products Used: Drove a 1999 Accord (4 cyl) that felt as powerful but oddly enough, the ride in the Accord and tha Mustang feel very much alike. My 1974 Datsun 260Z is MUCH faster. |

gt 5.0
Strength:
Easy to find, good power, easy and cheap to upgrade, v8 american attitude
Weakness:
only moderate gas mileage, but that's not why you buy a sports car Bought a 94 gt with 5 speed and cloth interior. I liked this body stlye the best out all late model stangs. Great car for anyone on a budget that want's to enjoy driving a car, not just sitting in it. 5.0 engine is one of the easiest and most affordable to upgrade. Chevy guys can gloat all they want about standard hp, but with simple upgrades any mustang can blow the doors off pretty much anything, and you can do it at your own pace. I also looked at camaros, and the interiors are awful, seats are extremely uncomfortable, and sitting position feels like you are sitting in a tub. Upright sitting position in mustangis much more comfortable, especiall if you drive for distances. Similar Products Used: 1995 camaro 2000 taurus. Camaro feels alot cheaper and looks awful. I drive my taurus during the week only to keep the mustang miles low. |

Ford Mustang Convertable LX
Strength:
Looks, Suspention, Drivability
Weakness:
Exhuast Sound, Lagging shift under hard acceleration Great body style, and well maintained. The suspention is procise and accurate. Almost fully loaded with everything but, Mach 460 Stereo system and Leather seats. The 3.8L engine does leave something to be desired. The AODE transmission sifts fine for low power daily driving but, hangs durring hard acceloration which makes 0-60 times also something to be desired. The car already came equipped with a Pioneer DEH-4100 head unit, and 16" Infinity wheels hugging BF Goodwrench Comp T/A's. An otherwise stock car but, with easily improvable aftermarket parts available. Also more affordable prices compared to some domestic/import vehicles. Similar Products Used: none available |

260 hp and 302 lbs tourqe on tap when you need it! Retro 60's styling, Mach 460 sound system, comfortable seats on long trips, FUN FUN FUN FUN!!
Weakness:
could use 18 inch wheels I didnt shop around for this baby. Walked into the dealer saw the GT in Metallic Charchol w/5sp and bought it. Hey, it's a Mustang! I love this car, not just for the power, but it's a head turner. Especially since I had 2 chamber Flowmasters put on her 1 week after I bought her. Loud under hard acceleration nice and throaghty cruising. I recommend it. Similar Products Used: None |

Mustang GT Convertible
Strength:
awesome beauty (true blue with medium parchement top and leather), automatic convertible, rice-racer roasting hp & torque, very good sound system, made with pride in USA
Weakness:
seemingly cheap plastic-like interior, gas mileage (but I knew that before I bought), visibilty backing up, fit of retracted roof cover, lack of power passenger seat I am 37 and have never had a sports car. In fact, for the last 14 years I hae driven an Acura Integra with a paltry yet budget pleasing 106 hp. I definitely love to drive our new Mustang GT convertible mainly because of the absolute confidence of being able to quickly accelerate out of my neighborhood and merge with traffic, where before, I had to wait for a break in traffic. My son, who is 12, wants to drive the car in 4 years. I am leary of letting *any* new driver be in control of something so powerful, though I can hardly blame him. The convertible is such a pure joy to drive, being at one with the beauty of nature while at the same time, taming the horsepower beast you are driving. Bullitt GT
Strength:
The Bullitt styling is AWESOME...i love the brushed aluminum goodies (shift knob, fuel cap, etc), and the painted calipers. The 10 extra HP is nice too...different exhaust than the GT-sounds better and it's louder!! Extremely easy to drive, especially for when it's raining...torque EVERYWHERE. AWESOME braking and handling!!! Interior is comfortable. Mach sound system is the BEST when it comes to factory sound.
Weakness:
Sort of expensive (but worth it), don't like how the scoops are non-operational (I try not to tell anyone that). Dash controls look cheap. I liked the looks and the Bullitt styling. Driving this sucker is an extreme pleasure, this car yearns to accelerate!! Great car for the american muscle enthusiast...gonna be rare (only 5000 being made). Similar Products Used: My previous prelude won't compare. Half as slow...and it's a japanese car...blah. |

Ford Mustang V6 (Silver)
Strength:
- Beautiful looking car
Weakness:
- Build quality is not too good (several minor things) I absolutely love my silver mustang. I put 17x9 chrome cobra wheels on it with P245 ZR 45 tires in front and P285 ZR 40 tires in the rear. Then I got Eibach pro-kit springs installed and I will soon get dual flowmaster exhaust along with a GT bumper and 3.5" tips. Also got titanium tint on all the windows and a 12" MTX subwoofer in the trunk. These are all the mods I need to ease my mod crazy self, for now. The way the car looks now is completely diffrerent than the way it looked when it came out the dealer. Now it looks like an awesome sports car. I get a LOT of compliments and it turns heads everywhere I go. After the wheel/tire upgrade and the lowering springs it looks and handles way better, it turns like its on rails. I don't think you can get a better sports car for this price. The mustang simply rocks the competition hands down! =) Similar Products Used: Previous to this car I had a 1985 Blazer, so I cant really compare. |
